Zagar 8.00 Fricke 8.24 Cook 7.64 Bewley 7.09 30.97 used so just 11.53 left for three riders and all must have achieved a three point average so not much as that four
-
Pawlicki 8.00, Thorssell 7.25, Nick Morris 6.91, Wells 5.77, Greaves 3.19 leaves 11.38 for last two places Masters 8.11, Pawlicki or Schlein 8.00, Thorssell 7.25, Wells 5.77, Howarth 5.16, Greaves 3.19, ..... leaves 5.02 for last place so either a new rider or someone like Jake Allen, Aaron Summers, Paul Starke, N B Jacobsen,

Depending if Zach, Ellis and Nielsen get reductions but it's around 12 for the last two

a good list of riders to build around with Jack and Chris Holder, Kurtz, Klindt, Grajczoneck, Woryna, Jacobsen, Sundstrom, Worrall etc and with the rule at reserve James Shanes has to be considered and possibly doubling up with Birmingham. Klindt and Kurtz have to be nailed on and Jack Holder deserves a shot in a solid line up that proved to be correct this time. Think Bomber will be at Peterborough and Poole will have quite a young line up.
-
The rule was put in last year so if Zagar, Woffinden etc that had sub 8 averages could only return on 8.00 minimum. That's why Vaculik came in on 8.00 but as Chris Holder had ridden here in 2017 he was allowed to keep his 7.16 average. now he has missed a season, I would have thought he now has to be assessed at 8.00 just as others were.
-
As others are having to reduce their teams maybe just putting in a 4.00 reserve would give Swindon a team that looks strong with them keeping six from last season. If Nick Morris stays as rumours have been he is set to join Wolves and now Poole, they have a rider that has to improve after a great 2017 and the same with Bellego. Maybe with Nick again returning to Reszsow they could look at Luke Becker travelling with Nick and at reserve on a new smaller track he could be a trump card.

Working Came as a bit of a weird statement when they switched to Thursday's as Sweden already did this a week or so ago. Both have claims they have priority from different organisations and all will become clear soon I'm sure. If Sweden are doing Thursday's the few Swedish riders will surely have priority there but will have to see if they are working together to get it sorted. -
Pretty sure by missing 2018 Chris now falls under the ruling of having to have a 8.00 average which was the minimum average of any GP rider of the last three years that didn't ride in Brotain the year before. He may still be 7.16 if he is at Poole though
-
Doyle is looking like being their number one and wouldn't be suprised to see two former witches in Andersen and Nicholls there behind him and may feel that Rory could choose Wolves over Ipswich now he has to pick having said that, both Nicholls and Andersen would fit in well at Peterborough
-
Why Howarth ? Nathan should but only from 3.25 to 3.19 and not sure when Ashley Morris last did the NL if he gets anything off his 3.66. So we have a Premiership meaning just 12 home meetings in the league and 1 cup match as a minimum and the same teams over and over again and that means of the 13 there will be 3 against the same team (23% against the same team) Wolves finished the season with a combined average of just 35.43 without Andersen so with a small reduction to Greaves they could fill that last place with. Rider upto 7.13 which could mean Nick Morris 6.91 slotting in nicely . However it would be no surprise if Wolves went for Luke Becker who may be signed on a 4.00 at reserve it would leave space for someone like Wells or Richie Worrall 1- Sam Masters 8.11 2- Kyle Howarth 5.16 3- Nick Morris 6.91 - - - - Ricky Wells 5.77 4- Jacob Thorssell 7.25 5- Rory Schelin 8.00 6- Ash Morris 3.66 7- Nathan Greaves 3.19 - - - - Luke Becker 4.00

Think a few of the bigger clubs are getting a wake up call at the AGM and may have to come to terms they can no longer get others to follow them into the top level and may have to admit defeat and join the minnows in a more efficient level that all can compete at. One league at Championship level is looking like the only option now and just hope they don't make the big mistake of doing a north and south as it will cause so many problems in the long run and clubs like Redcar and Berwick need to have nights entertaining Swindon, Wolves and Poole on a level playing field . It may be forced on some but hopefully they will see it's better swimming in a bigger pool than a puddle and I'm sure many NL riders will benefit next year if it does and they run it for three years not change everything again in 12 months. -
It doesn't have to be run by an independent body but one is required to run alongside them to give ideas and feedback before rules and regulations are put forward.
-
Your talking about a sport where last place in the Premiership gets a income of over £100million and a sport that can gain sponsorships in seven figures to be connected to clubs. Speedway cant ant invest the figures required here anymore and the foundations are smashed to pieces so unless they rebuild from a fresh again it can't be rebuilt until they go back to basics and cost effective.
-
Even if it's one league at Championship level these three would be heat leaders and still room for a number of up and coming new faces coming in and maybe a few returning riders from the past like Shanes
-
Nicolai Klindt, Brady Kurtz and Kacper Woryna returning whatever way the leagues go

If you you get certain riders with regular rides in Poland to choose then you are going to lose riders you need here to continue. Don't fight Poland and Sweden as running at a Championship level won't have many fixture clashes and these can be worked out here before published. Dan has a regular rides at Rybnik in Poland and if he carriers on his rate of improvement he needs these rides and if he has to choose then Poland and extra meetings in Germany would possibly sort him out better to run alongside the U21 and events Fixed race nights were bought in to stop Premiership and Championship fixtures clashing, nothing else. Top riders would like a fixed race night here but ONE night and not Monday or Wednesday or possibly Thursday and tracks unable to fit 12 fixtures in a 22 week period and has to resort in double headers For or a sport that lasts 15 minutes expecting fans to stand on concrete terraces in all weathers, use toilets and facilities that have been there decades and charge more now than a few years ago when the product was stronger. Running at Championship level means Premiership clubs would save on wages, running costs, flights etc which could be a few grand each week and this could be reflected in getting the admission down to £12 which is a realistic figure. Present Championship Clubs have been charging £15+ despite running costs being vastly different and at £12 you have the chance to make it affordable for new fans but also stop the infrequent fans remain to watch more. Crowds are made up of the older brigade and they are leaving the sport fast Two Adults to attend £36, Programme £3, Four drinks £12, 2 Burgers and Chips from a van £12 .... TOTAL £63 spent and your outside standing up Two Adults to attend a 120 minute film £16, 2 drinks £5, Meals (Two for One) at nearby restaurant £13, 2 Drinks £6 ...... Three hours spent in the warm, sitting down and getting the product you wanted without rules and regulations .... £45 £18 change from a night at the speedway and your warm and dry. But out they know what value for money is and 15 minutes for £18 is not value. These don't know the difference between Fricke and Morley or Doyle and Bickley so put on a product you can afford and at a cost people can afford. They already have tried this in last few years and it's not working. Top riders want ONE race night with no more than 16 meetings, better and safer tracks and even if they were offered a third of what they get in Poland, British tracks still can't afford £5,000 extra to get one top rider in each. rebuild at a level we can afford and with British riders given the chance to grow -

If you run one league at Championship level you will build a foundation that can be built,on for the 2020 season which then could be possible for the few that want to run at a higher level to run in two levels. When end setting up for 2020 you build your team for the one league again but tracks like Belle Vue, Poole, Kings Lynn, Swindon, Sheffield, Glasgow etc may look at riding in a Extra League here on a Monday, meaning Wolves may need to switch race nights, possibly back tomFridays as it was in the seventies. They use use their top five and bring in two star riders regardless of averages to complete the team. Poole would bring in Janowski and Sayfutdinov maybe, Wolves Woffinden and Lindgren, Swindon Doyke and Zengota, Glasgow Hancock and Dudek etc. By running on just 14 Monday's and running on BT Sports the top riders would consider riding here, especially now as Sweden may be Thursday and Poland on a Friday so Monday may not be the rush back it has been. yes they want more money but they won't be after crazy amounts but they would expect an improvement in tracks which apart from a few are the worse they have ever been over here at present and many need a complete relaying of the base not just patching up. A top top league is possible in this way for 2019 but think we need a tear to build the foundation first and look at this option through the next 14 months -

ALL top league matches are being shown live and talks of 50 other meetings being on Polsat, Eleven or Canal will also feature. Poland have Friday, Saturday and Sunday as priority and think Eleven Sport are doing Friday and Saturday most weeks with N Sport doing the two Sunday meetings. If you haven't got a foreign satellite dish yet, get one as its much better than anything on our channels and you get to see the BT matches with Polish commentary plus all Swedish meetings GP WEEKENDS - There is likely to be two on the Friday that weekend (if any) but GP riders have been saying for sometime that practice on the morning is more beneficial to them on setting up for the meeting and allows them to arrive a day later than at present -
Think CZESTOCHOWA are very capable of pushing them this year with a solid top five and improving reserves. Wroclaw will be up there if Milik can wake up and Jamrog looks like he could be a spoiler but having Drabik at reserve will always make them dangerous
-
No rider that rides in Poland would be riding for a Sunday club and if the visitors like Fricke at Belle Vue for example arrange their fixture on a Sunday where Max is available. Fixture clashes he's will be few and far between if done correctly

They don't have a choice as missing a priority fixture such as Sweden or Poland then they will have their licence held and be inline for a 28 day ban. Without a licence they wouldn't be allowed to race anywhere. Sweden will only run a few meetings on a Thirsday so any rider in the top league there would only clash if they had a fixture here on a Thursday, the same with Poland who will be running their four top league matches on Friday and Saturday but half of these (two) would still be Sunday's, so it's only the odd meeting that might clash. There red are not that many Polish Extraliga riders riding here so take Max Fricke as an example, if Wroclaw have two Friday meetings next season, Belle Vue try and miss these clashes which in one league of 17 home matches is possible with 20-23 Friday's available. Most of Frickes meetings in Poland will be on a Sunday still. As for Sweden, the list may be a bit longer as Poland is obviously stronger, but Sweden may well only be doing a couple on the Thursday so hopefully Britain can arrange their fixtures around those few clashes. There may be a few clashes, but if these are more the mid team riders , tracks can use RR or a guest but it won't be very often. If Britain runs one league at Championship level in order to afford running costs, wages, riding on chosen nights and developing British youngsters then clashes won't be noticed if run correctly but we will have a league that can be used to rebuild British Speedway over the next few years and at a affordable and reasonable entrance fee to entice fans that are now going once in a while but also attract new fans. By by reducing the costs at Championship level, the Premiership tracks dropping down would already have saved a considerable sum so reducing the cost of entrance wouldn't make clubs any worse off and could in fact see them make more of a profit but if they keep the same prices, they are just going to see crowds reducing week by week. -
LESZNO Wroclaw - Zielona Gora - Czestochowa Torun - Gorzow- Grudziadz Lublin Seems like Leszno will be favourites yet again with Wroclaw and Czestochowa as their main threats while Zielona have gone all out to be in the mix. After that the next three could be in any order but Lublin look to be the stamping boys with not enough fire power to challenge many away.

Bristol, Birmingham, Wolves, United, City etc may have Saturday matches, would you want to run a meeting down the road at the same time as this going on ? Your number one could have a meeting in Poland, so you would have to do without him. Saturday's may be good at Championship level tracks but most prefer a Friday to avoid a clash with the football. -

SWEDEN have already had approved by the FIM that they will run their top level on a Tuesday or Thursday and have priority on riders. POLAND have the same with Friday, Saturday's and Sunday's BRITAIN went with Monday and Wednesday's so Sweden jumped in already to claim Thursdays so Britain have to now keep Monday and Wednesday or accept they may have to cover for riders involved in the top leagues in Sweden and Poland if fixtures do clash. NOTE There may only be one or two top level meetings in Sweden on a Thursday and the same in Poland on a Friday and Saturday night so in most cases fixtures can be sorted to avoid clashes but it would be a risk any track riding on these nights at home signing a rider that competes in the Swedish or Polish top leagues. other countries get their next season sorted early, Poland complete their signings now and Sweden not far behind but we haven't had an AGM yet so are way behind and have to take what's left. -
If it is one league at Championship level the priority is on riders riding in the top leagues in Sweden and Poland and the only other ones are riders riding in lower levels abroad that come from that country. Example if Rybnik were riding on a Friday in a rearranged meeting and Poole were away that night, Woryna would ride at Rybnik being Polish. Ostrow in the same circumstances would have to do without Klindt as the fixture here was arranged first. If arranged in Poland first, it's down to an agreement that has to be sorted between leagues. Most riders however ever in a one league here at a Championship level don't ride in top leagues and those that do could be sorted to try and avoid clashes. It is unlikely any track operating on a Thursday will sign a Swedish rider or rider with a contract in Sweden in the top league and the same for any club that operates on Friday or Saturday or Sunday signing a rider involved in Poland, especially the top level
