Perhaps you've written your own answer right here. 'As partner of Mike Bowden'. Mike, for personal reasons, has also stepped down from his role at the Club (beginning of 2017). This has also been documented within Swindon's programme by Steve Park.
-
Don't recall him joining with a flourish if I'm honest. Mention of him stepping down in Steve Park's programme notes from the opening meeting.

2018 Premiership Predictions
Reliant Robin replied to Gavan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I tend to agree, I think KL are being under rated. Lambert & NKI are a match for anyone, and the others all have potential to up their averages. 1. Poole 2. Belle Vue 3. Swindon 4. Leicester 5. Kings Lynn 6. Somerset 7. Wolverhampton 8. Rye House -
Kind of ironic that Poole pushed for the Mon/Wed race nights which has now led to the Poles not being willing to relax their rule as had originally been agreed with Mon/Thurs race nights. Why would Denmark want to play hardball with Poland when it is the UK who have gone against what was agreed.

£17 including a programme was the online price in 2017. Cheaper than most Championship Clubs I'd guess
-
So it stands to reason that Premiership Clubs should be able to charge at least the same as Championship Clubs? I'm not saying that they both aren't overpriced, but the comments of reducing entry to £10 due to weakening league doesn't stack up when you take a look at the strength of the league below and their gate prices.

I actually think Musielak is more likely to improve on his average than Morris is. Nick will do well to maintain his average. Musielak can push on to be an 8.5 rider, he was solid both home and away in 2017 and can build on that by being in from the start of 2018. Ellis will improve on his also. If, as rumoured, Batch is to come in then I'd expect a slight increase in him also. Nick and Bellego to maintain and the reserves can hopefully surprise a few. Not so bad after all.
-
Still 0.12 too high mate. Hopefully David gets signed up. Then looks like a choice between a strong top 5 (PK, Batch, Holder or similar) and 2.5 reserve to partner Zach, or someone like a Palm-Toft or BWD along with another 4.5 pointer or thereabouts. I'd love to see Kildemand back. Was worth the admission money alone when last in the side permanently
-
Bradley doesn't get an average reduction. Zach goes down to 3.13
-
It stands more chance than what you have suggested unfortunately as it would be 0.12 too high I believe? Palm Toft is a decent shout though if he can be squeezed in, quite like the look of him. Would like to see Bellego and BWD back also. That would mean no room for Palm Toft.
-
They do know. You get this from Nick's mate again
-
Reduction for Zach (3.13), not for Adam as I'm led to believe. So it won't fit
-
Palm-Toft is 5.57.....don't think there's enough room for him if the other 6 come back. I think there would be 5.53 for the last spot if they were going down this route. Not too many options other than Paul Starke. Either this or pack the top 5 out and go weaker at reserve.
-
Your friend was quite a way wide of the mark this time CR.....might have had us concerned for no reason there Great to see Nick back, hopefully he can continue where he left off 2017.

'Financial difficulties' makes it sound like Swindon have not paid their way which is very clearly not the case. Read my whole post and you'll see that I have said that the difficulty is turning a loss around. Not easy in Speedway and with potentially no TV money. Go Speed & Swindon are separate entities. What rights are Go Speed likely to have to pay for? Swindon are having to cut their cloth accordingly, that is apparent with the releasing of Doyle. But to suggest any more difficulty than any other Club is as I say sensationalist. So yes, really. TR will know what he can and cannot afford and will be more aware than most as to where things stand with a TV deal.
-
In the past I'd agree, there have been problems and not just at Swindon where a certain individual was involved. Since 2014 I'd suggest Swindon's reputation has been one of the best.....riders clearly want to return to the Club which speaks volumes.
-
I would suggest Swindon's 'difficulties' are less than most. We've managed to purchase 4 riders over the course of 2017, so things can't be too difficult. A loss making season by the sounds of it, yes. But the only difficulty is trying to turn that around....to suggest anything else as you appear to be is sensationalist in the extreme.
-
I guess either would be a decent shout. Stefan was out for almost the whole of 2016 whereas we saw Zach's improvement throughout the campaign last year before his unfortunate accident. Also think Zach may be eligible for discount from his NL days.....so should be on a 3.13 average.
-
Morris Ellis Bellego Musielak Killer/Zengi/Batchelor Zach W Whatever is left Possibly weak at reserve but a very solid top 5....with only one reserve race and the tac sub back but not in use in heat 8, I think this is the way to go
-
I'm only teasing you're not usually far off the mark to be fair when things finally pan out. From what I've been told It was never a 'done deal', though a couple of sponsors may have thought it was going to happen. Fairly confident we'll see Adam in red and white for 2018.
-
That's some serious back pedalling there Skidder Perhaps Swindon got a discount for buying both? Or perhaps.....just maybe....Adam had a straight choice between signing for Swindon or signing for Poole and chose the Club that showed a little faith in him in 2017.
-
Swindon won't be Wednesday's.....looks like we have a number of protected Thursdays with the rest being raced on a Monday
