  1. I don't think anyone has said it will? Could be wrong though. What will be done is the altering of the track. As you may or may not have seen, this work has been started
  2. I think that's the greyhound kerb in the picture, so speedway track will be in further than that
  3. Maybe someone heard me! Look forward to seeing the Racers at Swindon in 2019
  4. You've not driven past too recently then?
  5. A very reasoned post and actually quite an emotional/sad one. I personally feel sorry that one man can kill your passion like that. Is it something that has happened personally to you, or a combination of things linked to how Buster runs the Club? I appreciate it's different for all. For me, I support the Club first, above any individual that is part of that Club. That said, it is a much more pleasant experience when you feel the Club's owners and Promoters are doing things right, or at least making the effort to do so. Look at Swindon, it wasn't so long ago the Club could very well have closed down under Patchett. A few years on we've had a record breaking season, a Premiership title and there are riders wanting to ride for the Club which hasn't always been the case. So good owners are important. From the outside looking in, Kings Lynn has always seemed a well run Club. There are never any rumours of financial problems, riders not getting paid, never a worry about whether you're running or not. Communication with fans seems at a low point which obviously needs some work. I did think Robin Brundle was looking to improve this part?
  6. To expand.... a. Very little to date of any substance b. yes, be it on the existing or new track
  7. The restaurant is there, same as it has been for years. We're just unsure whether it will have had it's long overdue refurb. But familiar dishes will still be on the menu and we'll still be able to eat and drink until our heart is content
  8. In terms of Stadium, I reckon you're correct. In terms of track, not from what I'm hearing.
  9. There appear to be a few on here who are always right, give one of them a shout if you're unsure. I thought Kings Lynn under Buster always used to announce their team in one hit at an open evening or something similar? So I reckon you could be right if this is something that has happened over the last couple of years.
  10. I don't feel it's a case of not caring about their fans, I think the point has been answered by the earlier part of your post. As a Club they have been given information by the owners/developers and have passed that information on. When that information proves to be incorrect then it has reflected on the Club. They find themselves in a position where any information put out is either disbelieved off the bat, or criticised further down the line for proving false. In turn, they have not given any recent updates other than they intend for the track work to be done ready for 2019. Assuming this is still needs to be agreed within the development, we'll see if that happens or not. Having seen a little movement on site (by little I do mean little) and heard a couple of whispers I am hopeful that at least the track work will commence and be ready for the opening of this season. There isn't much breathing space left for further delay and worst case, we'll turn up in April ready to watch on the existing track. I'm betting there are some Rockets, Hammers & Comets fans (along with others) who would like to be in a similar position
  11. Surprised Reading haven't approached Swindon about racing there due to locality, especially with the situation now where they will be running standalone meetings following training schools at Arlington.
  12. Wow, this thread took a nosedive! Back in the top flight where you should be, solid looking team capable of challenging for honours, stability in ownership along with an old hands Promoter who knows the sport inside out. Granted, communication seems to be somewhat lacking at this moment in time but reading this thread you'd think the Panthers were about to shut up shop.
  13. Swindon's are same price but include a free programme in the cost, at least they did in 2017 & 2018. So it has been £17 including a programme
  14. I'm glad you cleared that up, I wasn't sure Wells is usually good for 6 home and 6 away, good solid middle order rider. Bjerre, I agree he'll be fine. A lot will depend on how Bewley comes back from his injury. If he can get back up to full fitness and confidence quickly then Belle Vue will be in the mix. Lidsey at reserve is one I'm looking forward to seeing progress. He could be the trump card.
  15. And the lack of support has taken its toll on continuity and teams. Can't see us ever getting back to those days unfortunately
  16. Just read the article, it does say either 'sell or offload' which would indicate he's open to handing the Club over to the right set of hands without necessarily selling it. I guess we'll wait and see
  17. And that isn't the case in the Championship? Or are you suggesting a merge of leagues at around National League level?
  18. I guess we'll see then, but I'm thinking my 5 points away over the course of the season will be closer than the 2 points you predict
  19. I know it doesn't always convert to UK form, but have you actually taken a look at his progress since he last rode for Swindon?
  20. Exactly that, he'll do the job he has been brought in to do. 6-7 at home and 5 away would be what I'd expect. On a 4.58 average.
  21. Exactly, and Plan A must have been Doyle
  22. Not a fan? or statistics again? Solid 8 point average home and away last year. Dipped a bit at the end when he went to No.1 but won't have that problem in 2019
  23. His home average was 7.87 in 2018, 8.20 including bonus points
  24. Jack Holder will be fine, the lad has undoubted talent and I expect him to kick it on another level in the Premiership next season. Poole are always going to be in the mix, no point pretending otherwise
