  1. Indeed Chalkie, looks like a few EL Clubs will be in the same boat on that one
  2. And no offers for him have been made public. A Transfer Request is pretty useless if there isn't anyone looking to purchase
  3. Poole & Kings Lynn have seniority over Birmingham in terms of race night due to having established Wednesday as their race night before Birmingham did.
  4. Having to go off race-day against Clubs with the same race night
  5. Some people choose to look for a conspiracy theory in everything. Not ideal, but completely understandable that Josh wants to make this move
  6. Plenty left to pick from, after all, a Speedway rider can go where he wants so you have a completely open market
  7. If the Doyle / Visa situation can't be resolved then I can see it being Swindon & Somerset as originally planned. As mentioned above, this means Somerset would be entitled to a guest when Morris is missing rather than R/R when the initial decision to drop Morris was taken. Would still like to see Doyley's issue resolved, after the couple of seasons he has had it would be awful for him to have to miss a year.
  8. To be fair and give them their dues, it sounds like Sheffield did request permission to speak with Nick but were told 'no' as Swindon already have an agreement in place. Doesn't seemed to have stopped them though
  9. The Advertiser were already aware of the story due to the newspaper snippet as mentioned earlier. This had not been put out by Swindon. The Swindon Speedway press release was a 'reaction' to that - as was reported. As you say, it could look a tad premature should he not have the facts. Fortunately this is not the case on this one.
  10. Out of curiosity, what difference to the situation would keeping his mouth shut have made? As I understand, it was being dealt with privately prior to the news appearing in a small snippet in a tabloid newspaper. That news did not come from Swindon. Should Rossiter have kept Robins fans in the dark and pretended everything was rosy to protect the integrity of the Sheffield Promotion?
  11. Correct, any idea when Shamek's signing is likely to be announced?
  12. Unfortunately mate, if the previous one has expired as has been suggested elsewhere then the Aussie Title placing will not mean anything to UKBA. Hopefully something can be resolved for Doyley soon
  13. He can do as he pleases to a certain extent, but B.S.P.A will have the final say. Recall Hans Andersen walking out on Peterborough over unpaid wages some years ago - despite the reasons he still received a 28 day ban. Couldn't just go and sign for another Club straight away.
  14. Indeed, the Clubs themselves are approved to issue Sponsor Certificates to riders. The B.S.P.A are a UKBA Approved Governing Body. A rider will need a Sponsor Certificate issued by the Club, that Sponsor Certificate must be endorsed by BSPA and carry the applicable endorsement reference. Then they can apply for entry clearance (if Overseas at the time of applying) or an extension (if in the UK).
  15. Batchelor has got his in place, stayed in UK up until Christmas to ensure all was in order http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/speedway/10920013.Swindon_Robins_star_ready_to_chase_leader_Doyle_in_Australian_Championship/
  16. Incorrect. Mads was told he was wanted by Swindon - but he was looking to stay at Kings Lynn. By the time Kings Lynn let him go Swindon had moved in another direction. Still doesn't matter does it, signed up or not, everyone is fair game by the looks of things
  17. I guess the difference being that Batch was never a part of Peterborough's plans, let alone actually announced as in the team and quoted as saying "I live in Swindon, I have a good workshop there, it's great to be back". This could come back to bite Sheffield on the bum in more ways than one. Let's see what course it takes.
  18. The fact is that we don't know how this has been dealt with, only that we have not seen a Press Release that would be full of ifs, buts and maybe's. I'm sure Rosco isn't sitting on his hands and all will become clear when the situation is actually clear one way or the other. No point putting out anything in the meantime in my opinion.
  19. The email address that I sent to is the one on the website: info@swindonrobins.co Hopefully you'll receive a reply from them
  20. Where have you sent the email to? I sent an email in last week and had a response within the hour, so may want to make sure you are using the correct email address if it's been a while
  21. I don't think any team is going to look remarkably strong once completed, so I don't hold any fears about the season in prospect. Kings Lynn looking best so far and that's mainly because of their strong top 3. Robert Lambert is a great talent, will be interesting to see how he fares. I think a top two of PK & Batch is as strong as most others. And I'd fancy Morris/Gustafsson & Klindt against others named in similar positions.
  22. He had a bad year last year, on the occasions that I saw him race he was a shadow of the rider that raced for the Robins in 2011 winning rider of the year (not stiff competition that year!) and average over 6.5 whilst riding at No.5. That said, he did appear to be getting his confidence back and putting in some good performances at EL level towards the end of last season. Certainly seems one of the better options about with what is left points wise.
  23. Get yourself a Season Ticket young Yerropes - £15 including programme - and that's based on just the League fixtures. Playoffs haven't been excluded this year so value for money could get better as the season goes on. Happy to see the signing of Gustafsson. Final signing is quite an important one - would be happy with Klindt or North personally
