So it is not all Elite & Premier matches - purely an illegal stream of the ones Sky choose to show?
-
Don't see how this can be genuine, where would they be getting footage from?

Kings Lynn V Zielona Gora 19/03/14
Reliant Robin replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why is it a clanger by Sky? They have never stated that they were showing this meeting. Clanger on the Polish side of the water from where I'm sitting. -
Swindon & Poole Home And Away On April 18
Reliant Robin replied to Grachan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Swindon website says "All home matches start at 7.45pm, parade 7.30pm (subject to weather conditions), unless otherwise stated" - so had assumed this to be correct for the home leg with Poole meeting earlier in the day -

Agreed, they should be having extended runs in the even more superbly named Premier League! -

Exactly! If the draft system is to be given a chance then these loopholes (genuine in this case I believe but who knows what the future holds) need to be closed up from the very start. -

I agree - I had thought it fairly obvious that by leaving Swindon to sign for Sheffield Josh Bates had opted out of the 'Fast Track Scheme' for the 2014 Season with the view that racing for Sheffield may be better for his career than being part of the scheme, -
Five More Years Of El Speedway On Sky
Reliant Robin replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Indeed they're not - the halt in Sponsoring the league is still nowhere near enough to have dropped the overall package to 300k as suggested -
Going back to the previous set of away pits directly opposite the home pits. The structure had been converted to use for various storage, but looks like a lot of work has gone on, walls knocked out etc to return them to being usable as the away pits.

Five More Years Of El Speedway On Sky

Clubs do not just receive monies for meetings staged though - so the 'per annum' fee you quoted is a loooong way short. Normally bang on the money - which is why I said 'you're slipping'. I prefer to stick to what I actually know than bother with who you would have more faith in to be honest. -

Again Skids, you're well short of the mark from what I've heard. You're slipping mate -
It's good to see, that's for sure. Many sponsors obviously enjoy their association with the sport - think Pebley Beach have been on board at Swindon for 13 years now, Parrys at Wolves are very long term as well. Can only be a good thing, and shows reassurance to other potential sponsors.

All this said despite the fact that he went to the extent of streaming live coverage of the Polish Playoffs in 2013. If he really didn't want it shown why would he do that? The FACT is that no broadcaster has been interested in the Sunday afternoon slot. Once again, please don't allow facts to get in the way of your hatred of all things Russell

Leicester 2014 . Elite
Reliant Robin replied to jim the whipper's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I don't believe so - also unsure as to whether a tier 5 will allow 'Multi Entry' - if not he wouldn't be able to leave the UK to race in Poland/Sweden etc -
Speedway Livestream 6 Days A Week
Reliant Robin replied to SpeedwayTShirts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I'll say it again, if Go Speed see financial benefit from this, as you have said, then the Elite & Premier League will have also. -
Good to see a local lad given the chance - good luck to Darryl

Speedway Livestream 6 Days A Week
Reliant Robin replied to SpeedwayTShirts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
You appear quite bitter about something that's for sure. With agreements like this, Speedway is only playing catch up on what other Sports have done for some time. Your post strikes me as coming from someone who would prefer that the Sport stood still so that you could park in the same spot at each meeting and stand in the same place at each meeting. You can harp on about attendances falling etc, but the fact is if Speedway keeps doing what is has been doing then it will only ever have what it has already got (at best). Fact is, if Terry Russell has done well out of this, as you have said, then so has British Speedway. Don't let progression get in the way of your rant though -
Sky have never paid that much for Sponsorship - that is the estimated amount for the broadcasting rights. I haven't seen any indication that this has dropped significantly from years previous.

I think that info is quite a way wide of the mark. I've seen and heard plenty of the same rumour and it seems to be based only on what Sky have done to some other smaller sports and nothing at all to do with Speedway as I understand
