  1. Just seen, looks like a couple of extra bits going on with gates opening at 6pm with a meet and greet with a couple of 2014 Robins where people can get pics done or autographs. Then a bit of live music before the meeting and a second half of the juniors which were very good last time at the Abbey. Nice to see a few extras laid on. On the meeting front, 3 points is crucial if we're to maintain a Playoff chance. Good choice of guests and fully expect the points to be going on to the Robins tally
  2. Looks like Hans is in for PK according to Andy Warren from the Advertiser
  3. Was originally on 8th - so I assume they think more people will attend this than they would have done a meeting without PK, Pedersen & Michelsen
  4. Looks like the work has gone in - just hope it pays off! http://blunsdonblog.co.uk/?page_id=7857
  5. Batch has been a massive disappointment tonight - 1 point from 4 rides from your second heatleader. Not good. He's come up with a few important rides so far this season but we can't afford performances like tonight from our Skipper
  6. How can it be a cheaper option than using your - own riders? They'll still pay out the same travel! Agree R/R would have been a better option, and thought the same when I first read R Worrall was guesting, but can't possibly see how it's down to cost no matter how much it is said
  7. I thought Ellis was a Lakeside asset giving them first call on him on the original fixture list?
  8. Certainly didn't miss them - fair play to the Hammers on their result, but against a Wolves team who scored 2 points from their No.1. Lakeside & Eastbourne are certainly going to be in the mix, full credit on their season so far, but I think Lakeside will need to pick up something at Eastbourne and Belle Vue to make it. Should be a good close run.
  9. 1. Kings Lynn 2. Poole 3. Coventry 4. Swindon Think Lakeside and Eastbourne will just fall short due to their away form.
  10. I think most Swindon meeting threads have been dominated by the weather so far, so with bright sunshine for the second week running us Robins fans are a little unsure of what to say Doyley, Mads and Buzz will all be good for a few. With Klindt returning to the Abbey along with Masters who scored well for the Robins against Leicester at BP it could be another close one. If we can perform as we have at the last couple of home meetings then all 3 points should be coming our way. Nothing being taken for granted this end though and Leicester showed they're a capable side in picking up a point at Lynn last night. C'mon the Robins!
  11. Riders can only renew/apply for them once they know who their 'sponsor' will be in 2015
  12. They are trying to fill the date - should know by Thursday apparently
  13. And http://www.yr.no/sted/Storbritannia/England/Swindon/time_for_time.html All looks set fair for a cracker. Looking forward to tonight - tough meeting but if the Robins race how they did last week then I think we'll sneak it. 2-4 point Robins win
  14. Indeed, not ideal. With 8 PL teams in action, 4 EL teams and 2 NL teams I think the top 20 or so in the Draft are automatically ruled out
  15. Charles Wright in for tomorrow. Friday's replacement may be a tad harder to find! And a lot lower down that list
  16. The problem being that the total amount of debts owed is being pieced together whereas the £400k shortfall figure over a number of years is what has been quoted by Phillips
  17. With that logic that would mean there are only 2 or 3 proven EL No.1's actually racing in the EL
  18. It was Belle Vue that used Wright at our place and he did bag 7+1. Wouldn't say it strengthens the Bees but it doesn't seriously weaken them either. Hoping for all 3 points to the Robins and edge nearer the pack chasing 4th spot! Hopefully Kildemand's back on the gas and Worrall can keep doing what he's been doing.
  19. Can't see mention of it anywhere, hope it's not true, always enjoy my trips to Perry Bar
  20. Are Sheffield thinking outside the box or attempting to make the best of a bad situation? I notice they are the only Club running a meeting this evening, I hope it works for them but personally think the Swindon Promotion have done right by steering clear of this date. Couldn't see many turning up for a meeting clashing with an England World Cup game.
  21. The R/R when a rider pulls out during a meeting gives all those below the injured rider a chance to take his rides. North is 5th in the Swindon averages meaning the reserves only could take his rides. With Greaves out, Worrall could only take 7 rides in total. It was a long drawn out one, but only due to the accidents - 3 quite big ones. I didn't think the crowd looked great, but I've seen and expected lower. I'd say there was 1000 just about last night. Good to see Simon continuing to look a much improved rider. Hopefully Dak, PK & Greaves are not too bad
