  1. Won't be able to go in on less that a 4 point average I believe Happy with Doyley & Batch, as I said in a previous post I'd be happy with the top heavy and loyal route keeping those two + Jensen, Ellis & Perks. IF it was a straight choice between Batchelor and Jensen, personally I'd see Troy as a safer bet on his average. Jensen was outstanding for us last season and turned our season around. He needs to be able to follow that up which I hope he can. Batch is consistent top end strength. We have the top two riders in the league, so I'm not finding much to moan about yet
  2. Exactly, with the right riders around it, I'd want the Robins to keep the core of Doyle, Batchelor, Ellis, Jensen & Perks. I'm assuming as mentioned previously that Musielak is sitting out UK in 2020. May well leave a long tail but it would be a shame to see Batchelor sacrificed as he was great this season. Let's see what Rosco can come up with
  3. Logic would suggest so if that is the figure being suggested. Even if the BT deal was done on the cheap, it would still have provided a lot more than £10k per club per season.
  4. Do you honestly believe it has ever been sold that cheap? I don't think any Clubs would operate in the top tier with that as their TV income
  5. Every team just needs to find a Rasser! Someone who will up their average by 3-4 points and all would be well
  6. It wasn't built within the points limit through 2019? I'm sure that would have been picked up somewhere along the line. Swindon averages effective 18th July - total of 42.39. Same team that finished the season
  7. Is this perhaps not the main point? Swindon's team that finished the 2019 season was built within a 42.5 point limit, so why could they not be allowed continuity, even if the points limit remains at 42.5?
  8. As odd as it may seem, I'm kind of hoping we're made to work for it.....as you say it's only half time. Anything can happen over the next 15 heats.
  9. I think they've worked in terms of cutting out clashes between the two leagues which is what they were brought in for. Less guests and R/R from my memory this season. Although my memory is questionable!
  10. That's correct, each promotion is now only responsible for their own teams payments. The exchange rate between clubs for meetings was done away with about 4 or 5 years ago I think
  11. I noticed that a lot of these objections carry the same content, so as you say, comes from combined anti-greyhound group. They all go on to say they support the redevelopment for speedway purposes, but we know it's housing/greyhound stadium owner money funding the changes if they ever materialise
  12. So by 'Poland', Lisa meant Russia? And by 'rather be' it is meant to be 'has to be'? Got it
  13. Who's in Poland rather than at Swindon on Thursday?
  14. As I understand it, the averages wouldn't have fitted in June. At this point we had Stefan in the side who had shown promise with 5+2 from 3 rides in the Premiership Supporters Cup. Stefan got injured in the meeting on 1st July - too late for any potential change for 4th July as 3 clear days notice required by BSPA. He could have potentially been at Wolves (a) meeting on Monday, but that's about it
  15. He'll go in on a 4 point assessed (I'm assuming). Think the rule was brought in to prevent similar scenario's to Jack Smith at Swindon last year
  16. Unable to use anyone in the Premiership who has not achieved an average (or converted average) of 3 or above in that league as I understand it. So until Anders has an average of 4.50 or higher he's not able to step in
  17. But they can build up to the 42.5 limit which they currently fall a couple of points below
  18. Agreed. My personal viewpoint is that I think with the options out there, we're better off looking to fill the gap left by Zach (plus any spare points to the limit) whilst waiting for Tobi to come back. So up to 4.54. Not a lot of fantastic options out there, but not many additional options by keeping Bellego, especially if Ryan Douglas is set to sign elsewhere as is rumoured. See if Nielsen can give some food for thought this evening
  19. Cheers Wolfie, so we'd need someone slotting in between 4.51 and 4.54 (as assuming the replacement also won't have done 4 home and 4 away unless there's a shock signing coming from somewhere else).
  20. I understand that part, so with Zach's average at 3.80 from 1st July we can only bring someone in up to 4.54. So nobody likely to push any of our top 5 to reserve come August
  21. Who would head into the main body for Rasser to drop down? For Tobi to be able to fit back in then we can't really sign anyone of any significant average or potential enough to climb too high? Or am I missing something obvious?
  22. Not good for Tobi and could weaken the us no matter which way we go. PK's average is too high and he's been quite clear that he's not looking to race in UK at the moment. Bellego and A.N Other is the logical route. Would give us strength at reserve
  23. 'Musielak's withdrawal was pre-planned' is what has been said. That's a good effort and very convincing to have gone through all that trouble when not needed.
  24. Not forgetting the early flight in, night in a hotel, early flight back. Sounds like a great pre-planned event to slide off in heat 3 so he can withdraw
