  1. The build is down as a 4 and a half month project. If it takes 6 months then as I understand Swindon are willing to commence their home fixture in Mid May and have more continuity in fixtures. The building part is modular....a completely different project type to Belle Vue and can go up a lot quicker.
  2. Belle Vue fan with blinkered vision....hold the....oh no, not news worthy as fairly standard from a select few (not all Belle Vue fans but the usual suspects)
  3. No, but maybe he should have pulled out after his first ride yesterday if he's not comfortable enough to ride to give it some credibility
  4. Big one for the Robins tonight....here's one for you. Would you rather be in Swindon's shoes and chasing a 14 point deficit on your home track, or in Coventry's shoes going away from home with the scores all level? I'm a bit like Natalie Imbruglia....torn!
  5. It's funny...Hans said to Rosco that he'd preferred the guest bookings for Swindon to riding for Coventry.
  6. It comes down to schedule as well, and a Saturday race night makes it tough for Jason, has said so himself. I expect Doyley to be first on the team sheet for 2016 at Swindon....I don't think the difference in financial clout that you mention is there either.
  7. 1. Due to the Saturday race night not fitting with his schedule 2. Not their choice really...they pulled out of the transfer...if they were not prepared to let him leave then they should have finalised it when they had a chance
  8. In their last nine meetings Swindon have been away from home 7 times In their last nine meetings Belle Vue have been at home 7 times No doubt about it, this is the Aces tie to lose.....but it could all get a bit tight
  9. I'm led to believe that the grandstand and buildings will be modular in which case a 4 month build is not out of the question. 5 months to complete a 4 month project with Christmas & New Year etc thrown into the mix would still be tight though! And this But I guess whatever happens it's still farewell to the Abbey....lets hope it is given a good send off
  10. Standard stuff....weather predictions, Bathcelor mindset predictions and pointing out that we only won a previous meeting due to a rider of the opposition being off form and only scoring 2....failing to mention that Troy was still carrying an injury and only scored 4 in the same meeting!
  11. That's a fair point....which would also back up that it makes no sense to want to cash in the assets as was being suggested
  12. A poor night at the office last night for the Robins....and I think we're lucky it's only 14 points! Would have been a bigger tally to claw back had the rain not come down. A massive task ahead, but not an impossible one....certainly cannot afford any passengers next Monday and need to hit them early. If we can get the deficit down to about 6 after 3 or 4 heats then it's anybody's game.
  13. This being the same Terry Russell who cleared a six figure debt towards the end of the 2013 Season?! Imagine that's more than cashing in the assets would be worth! If he'd wanted a convenient get out clause then it would have been cheaper to let the Club go under
  14. It's just a couple of posters letting themselves down....Belle Vue fans as a whole I've always found friendly and knowledgable. A select few appear very bitter and twisted about something or other but I guess you get them in all walks of life. Mon the Robins
  15. Haha, that old myth again.....getting an excuse in early just in case!! I think Colin Meredith is more than capable of preparing a track
  16. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't. Meeting goes ahead in wet weather = wouldn't be on if Sky weren't there, they're putting riders at risk.... Meeting cancelled on forecast = Sky only interested if perfect conditions Funny old World we live in
  17. Mon 7th Swindon are at Poole so I'm guessing at Wed 9th
  18. Playoffs are: 14th, 21st, 28th & 30th September. Whisperings that cut-off is now midnight on 10th September
  19. Can understand this to a point, it's how I felt originally, but think the lads need our support now more than ever....they are good friends of Darcy so think that packed terraces as opposed to empty ones will help them through. A time to come together rather than drift off.
  20. Racing was good last night....maybe judgement on excitement is best saved for those that were there....all seemed to thoroughly enjoy it
  21. "with the exception of injury" was in the post I was replying to. So if he's back from injury and has not been replaced in the meantime then I guess so Only one Danish fixture on that night....Slangerup v Grindsted....so no Swindon or Cov riders affected as far as I can see
