And a few of them say 'move the speedway somewhere else'........of course, how simple would that be!

Think the Saturday referred to would have resulted in missing riders from what I'm hearing. Same as 15th April (see Skidders post)....Belle Vue would be missing Zagar. Shame all these clashes can't be sorted before fixtures come out...how hard can it be!

Periscope. A Promoters Nightmare App.

I was thinking more Youtube than Periscope when making reference to being a competitor Nope -
Periscope. A Promoters Nightmare App.

It's not Go Speed's stranglehold to have....Sky pay a 7 figure sum per year to have exclusive rights. Hardly exclusive if footage is popping up left, right & centre on a competitors Social Media site. -
I think, as has been mentioned previously, the advancements and increase in speed has not helped the racing at certain tracks. Swindon being a good example. Still a good race track but as the machines have got quicker....the straights are now too long to provide the kind of racing we used to see.

Speedway Portal Announcements

The money that Sky pay is for exclusive rights as I understand....by restricting online clips from anyone but Sky, Go Speed are looking out for B.S.P.A with regards to their contractual obligations. Many thought that Speedway would be lost to our screens last time around....British Speedway wasn't exactly in the best negotiating position with regards to these rights I'd imagine, and that would have been the same with or without Go Speed's involvement. But going on what I've read from people that should know, without their involvement there would not be Speedway on Sky -

A change in race night meaning a rider needs to leave and the BSF turns into a Contractual Law Forum!! Kings Lynn (Promotion) have switched race night....they knew in doing this it would cause an issue with Lewis having already signed for Ipswich and so have done the right thing and let him go without making a fuss. Not ideal for their 2016 plans but they knew that when they switched. If rider and Club have not fallen out over it I don't see why so much is made of it. Plenty of people reading between the lines and filling in the blanks where they don't need filling.

Only if Ipswich buy him....otherwise Lakeside will have priority....thems the rules

I don't agree, would rather see a side that will give their all for Swindon....just don't see MJJ fitting that mould and has a habit of going missing all too often in UK. If Dak could be persuaded I'd welcome him back. If not Michelsen is the only other one I can see that could make us a force. Would give us the best No.1 in the league backed up by riders all capable of improving on their starting average. As gutted as I am that Zengi isn't back with the Robins, it makes sense and enables more strength in depth. Hopefully he'll be racing in UK next season, and who knows, maybe back in 2017

I'd put Belle Vue & Poole above us as things stand....but of the rest and looking at riders left I think we'll be in the mix again. Rosco said at the end of last season that he would look at where we've fallen short in the last couple of seasons. All those signed so far will put it on the line and give 100% all of the time in my opinion. If we can add Michelsen then I think that would put us on par with the other 2, but I'd say unlikely signing

Probably in the same press release it said that having the safety net of using the Abbey in the meantime had been secured but it wasn't the intention. I imagine it is now very much the intention as no work has started....but that they won't be running another farewell with all of the golden oldies present which was a one off.

Speedway From An Outsiders View .

11 & Unders have been free at Swindon for some time. And a Season ticket for 12-16 year old is £25 -
Why's that? Have they upped the price due to moving to a new stadium? Have they offered first glimpse to season ticket holders? Have they included seating within the season ticket....as there are meant to be seats at this new stadium? NO...it is a season ticket for 2016 entitling entry to league meetings which is what is being offered.
