Gjedde chose to act and do what he did, no one else. Shame he did. Others riders tend to laugh when he trolls them don't take it as much as an offense as some on here seem to. ( if anything they seem to be envious of the master of trolling) All hail King Barrie of Dickshire I say.
-
Sir Barrie is great at what he does. Fantastic having a guy who knows the sport on the centre green unlike the clueless nice for radio voices at most tracks. Bellego to end the season as Berwick Number 1?
-
Would probably add Bellego at home.
-
Doolan Kus ( decent out the gate offering up the chance to turn over a few number 1s in the first race and should deal with heat 8 quite easily) Bellego (would move him away from two as it is quite a restrictive position) Wethers (big race man if it is tight in Heat 14) Vissing (team riding is a dying art but a guy with his all out style is best to look after himself) Carr Jensen
-
Interesting team. Fricke is an undoubted talent who can (and IMO will) become a third heat leader. Sedgemen will be the surprise package of the season at Edinburgh. The biggest problem will be replacing the job Wethers and then Tabaka have done in recent years. I would doubt many 6/7 ish point average riders have won the number of crunch races either of they two have in recent years.
-
Vissing is a good signing, he will carry a decent average around Berwick. You can see race wins in the 4 Berwick have signed, daft last places as well, but there is possible and probable improvement in Bellego, Kus and Vissing IMO.
-
Tacey gusted for Rye (questionable if he should have been) and got a 15 point max (I think), Rye winning at Exeter when they shouldn’t have (in theory) was pretty big for them.
-
Wrong.
-
If it was to be guys like Alden, Weathers, Carr and a half decent reserve that would be a pretty good side IMO.
-
He is worth a gamble on his average. If I was betting on it I would be going for higher rather than lower across a season at Berwick.
-
5.8 on a rider like Aarnio at reserve is pretty excessive, that's pretty much where he seems to have maxed out average wise as well. Matt Tresariu has a pretty similar average and would be a better high averaged reserve option if that's the route to go down IMO.
-
Nae bother mate.

And wit? The point being made is that the eye was supposedly taken of the ball when it came to this season. A quite significant event occurred that occupied the time and thoughts of most people connected with Berwick. If Berwick finish bottom next year because time was spent looking after Ricky and his family, good, I would take that.
-
Focusing as much time and effort as they possibly could into helping raise funds and aiding those who were trying to raise funds for Ricky Ashworth you would imagine. Because some things are more important than appeasing a couple of half wits on a forum.
-
I could have worded it clearer to be fair. It was more in reference to his early form with Birmingham when it looked like he was going to be the next Oz rider who was the real deal, he was scoring massive points around most tracks.
-
If Edinburgh can get the Sedgman who first rode for Birmingham (which wouldn't be a surprise) he will turn out to be an excellent signing. It isn't a massive shock riders didn't give Plymouth their full commitment at the time he was there.
-
It wasn't, he rode at the Bordernapolis the night before the PLRC and Workington the season after. His name was mentioned a while before that though. His name might have been on a race card before that actually. Was Mark Simmons not penciled in as a guest for him (after Niemnin was called up that week) but wasn't allowed to race? (That might be wrong)

The hilarious thing about the post is the irony that points 1,2,4,5 and 6 would actually be considered by a rider When you hear of the horror story's from other clubs it is only natural riders would want to ride for a rider orientated, friendly, family club The proof being the standard of rider Berwick have attracted in recent years, which, with the exception of 2 or 3 on here, most know, has been punching well above the weight of the standard of rider a club like Berwick , should, and previously have attracted ( for the best part of 20 years)
-
Tully would be a pretty decent signing IMO. It would probably be the same story as it has been throughout his career though, winning races looking great then throwing in odd the infuriating duff ride. But he would be a solid dependable third heat leader that you would trust to collect 7 points or so most weeks at most tracks.
-
Aye but to be fair you’re a cock socket.
-
Other than a daft fall when a mile in front against Leicester he was unbeaten by an opponent and truth be told quite stunning in his other rides. Team rode Barret around while looking over his shoulder for most of the race, took Niemenim from the back charging down the back straight and under him into the 3rd bend. His debut performance was up there when it comes to individual performances at Berwick IMO. Against Scunthorpe he was paid for 8 from 4, including two 5-1s.
-
It didn’t really... If you judge his performances in isolation he was actually quite dominant when he had to be. His only dodgy meeting was Newcastle at home. Seem to be in a minority but anyone thinking Kennet is going to have an average below 9 to 9.5 is kidding them self on.
-
Be daft not to have Alden back on his average IMO. He is never going to go any lower than 7.5 and if he clicks, which he easily could, then he can be a 9.00 man. He could quite easily do what Rymel did and cut out all the nonsense and have a pretty dominant season one year. If he was to do that you would want it to be in a Berwick race jacket.
-
Irrespective of league structure, the race format does need looked at to encourage the 16 year olds you speak of. It is time to move away from the days when an inform reserve can take 7 rides IMO, and more importantly an out of form reserve is only given 3. I get that some hate writing, and it is confusing as it is but I like the idea of the last 4 heats being nominated races and the final race being a top scorers race, or something along those lines. 2 lowest scorers of both sides in the first nominated heat, and so on. The final 4 heats having riders of similar talent/performance that level that evening would lead to a better climax to a meeting IMO.

My comment below, should have been a reply in a quote reference the post above.... unfortunately, I could not get the reply with previous posters post to work!!! So here is my comment... So there's another issue..... a rider racing competitively in the elite league, on elite league money, and elite league equipment, then goes racing in the premier league and beats everyone up! I know it technically the other way round, but after a while you tread up the seesaw and suddenly you are an elite league performer, dipping into the premier league and with your elite league wealth, your elite league equipment, maxing everywhere you ride, time to move up permanently..
