  1. There has had to be a post like this every second week. Meetings have either been on or off at Berwick and the promotion have always confirmed it on this. Posting about weather and rain only puts doubt in peoples mind. Even with it being a " wet and windy " day there was no problem with the track ! And how about the pies ?. It certainley was a very enjoyable end to the season.
  2. We have had this with the weather about Berwick a few times this year but got to the track and its been wicked. Its wet..... No its dry.....But its cloudy over there. Lets just wait and see.
  3. The line up has ended up stronger that it was going to be a week ago IMO.
  4. Well done to Crumpy , very deserved title and probably the best man off the track to be Speedway WC as he conducts him self as a Champion should.
  5. Could be an interesting meeting. Credit to Howarth and Wrathall who look like they are happy to accept meetings any where in the country just to get on the bike and race, love it. Its a shame one or two more didn't have that attitude it would help progress there careers. Good luck to both of them.
  6. Ow my word. In addition, John Anderson has now disclosed having received acceptances from two riders with connections to Edinburgh Monarchs. Swedish Under-21 Champion Thomas H Jonasson will re-appear in UK racing at this prestige event, and is to be joined on parade by Monarchs’ sensational new German star Kevin Wolbert, making his Berwick debut.
  7. Aye they seem to be developing them well. He can come to Berwick now.
  8. A round at every track is maybe a bit much to begin with it would need to start small and be expanded on IMO. Even four rounds with the final at Owlerton wouldn't be a problem with me. There is an issue with which riders take part. I can see the logic in going with previous season averages. It could also mean that some one like Ward could never have raced in a PL National event given his rapid success.
  9. It is such a shame to see this meeting disrespected in the way it is now.
  10. I would love to see it happen I think it would be well supported and could be rotated between North,Midlands and The South. Edinburgh one year Glasgow the next Sheffield and then Stoke Rye House and then Somerset and so on.
  11. Add David Howe and Jac Rampala. There isn't a weak rider in the line up so far very impressive field of riders being assembled. David Howe has always been handy around Shielfield and has shown decent form on his visits this year and with his performance in the P.L.R.C at Sheffield he has shown he can handle the big track and knows what an individual meeting is all about. Jac R when on form and with his head on was very quick around Berwick if he is getting out the gate it is going to take some effort to pass him. Great mix of riders so far. Some who are nippy out the gate and guys who can come from the back.
  12. That looks a very tidy line up. It will be interesting to see how Jamie Courtney goes. Used to look a very decent talent hopefully a high scoring performance can kick start his career again. Howarth,Tyrey and Wrathall are all new faces to Berwick so it will be interesting to see how they go. Well done to the riders for coming up Berwick might be a long journey but it will be worth there efforts if they can put them selves in the shop window. Is it Peter Johnson the former raider ?.
  13. Who is the lowest averaged rider to ever win a P.L.R.C just out of interest.
  14. How ? they can have an opinion. Every one on this forum can have an opinion. You say some strange strange things some times.
  15. Ow aye there he is has to try and steal the thunder.
  16. I would say getting asked to this will be what it felt like to get a golden ticket to Willy Wonkas Chocolate Factory.
  17. Well it was asked and I have an answer. John Andersons confirmation is that it is a go for the Bornderapolis. And as we have all asked for so long it is going to be a 16 man field !!! Great news I am sure we will all agree. Now the fun starts We are in for a treat when some of the names start to come out for this. This season just gets better. This could be the diamond meeting in a fantastic season of racing at Shielfield. And well lets get this ball going Top Brit and Shielfield track hero Chris Bomber Harris is subject to confimation but as we know things can come up and we cant control the weather so lets just wait and see. Either way it promises to be some thing special.
  18. Very fast time from Wethers. Can be very quick some times Stormy.
