Wow! What a read. Had the a few debates with the Mr Doc but he knows his Speedway, which is what this forums intends. In fact I’d love to have a beer talking Speedway with the Doc, It’s all about opinions. Sadly I fell out with a member through a complete misunderstanding, as this appears.

Eastbourne v Glasgow Semi Final
Hodgy replied to Hunters's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yes agree, thought Glasgow weren’t out of it. Appears they really didn’t like the track or would have got on with it. Would still like to know what wound them up, that as you say spoilt the meeting. -
As expected, easy and well deserved win for The Wolves. I just can’t connect with this track, I have tried. Think it’s all about what you are brought up on. Respect the Supporters that defend, and enjoy it. My preference will alway be full throttle racing.

Eastbourne v Glasgow Semi Final
Hodgy replied to Hunters's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Out of interest, why would they do this? Also, would like to know what words were used pre-meeting. Nothing wrong with building an atmosphere as long as it doesn’t get too personal. -
Cook, Vissing and Kennett banned.
Hodgy replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thanks for the response. Respect you were there and witnessed first hand. From the outside we can only view the video and forum inputs. In my opinion Cook didn’t start the situation, but he doesn’t take too much to react. As you say, was looking for an exit (pits) before the unnecessary scrap. Think the flag guy and hard men entourage put themselves in more danger than a guy winding down at very low speed. Health & safety!!! If not for the Dugard interaction(s), that created the ‘mayhem’, doubt we would have read so much about it. -

Sorry Lisa, don’t agree with you this time. Cook was slowly strolling to the pits, after several wind ups, with no danger to others. The marshal could have calmly guided him in instead of deliberately walking into a moving bike. The plank that then got in his face caused the mayhem. -

Can’t recall, or find what the ban was - however, I remember the incident well. Apologies again for the other night. Was only interested in talking Speedway. -

Cook just idling back to the pits, after the wind ups. Flag man walks in front of his bike - receives a shoulder barge. Should have have been the end of it, both in the wrong. Until Dugard’s get involved, not unusual. Very tame compared to a blind vicious assault. -
Tai / Rosco - Team GB 2020
Hodgy replied to TheReturn's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
In my opinion it’s impossible to compare eras. As BW stated, Tai would beat the past legends ‘now’ every time. However, given the same professionalism today v the ‘said, good old days’, on the same level, we will never know. -
Phew! Thought not possible - far too reasonable and debatable. The forum needs to change you replied to rather than someone that started the thread yonks ago. Thanks for confirmation. LOL.

You are Flappy? Really?

It doesn’t matter what year. The business model and lack of serious communication is dreadful. The customer is not always right, but they are always the customer. Not all are thick - just not in the know, as you.
-
So you think it’s acceptable to be sold something but receive a completely different product?

Brilliant meeting, best I’ve seen for years. Even better when all go home safe.

It’s very simple, to me. When you represent a country at international level, that’s your country thereafter.

Unbelievably wrong.

King's Lynn vs Peterborough. Thursday July 25th
Hodgy replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Your positivity and commitment is very obvious. I hope the club respect your loyalty. The strong messages I read from the majority is they just want their track back and considered communication. The customer is not always right, but they are always the customer, and should be treated as such. -

Appears so, which is great to see. Just saying, he’s a young one that took a big one. Easy does it. -

Possibly, I’d risk him at Peterborough. Nothing to lose now. -

I’ll go in the middle and say he’s ‘fragile’. Togy Tele not an easy ride. We had no chance so agree best protected. -

In my opinion S Worrall can go further. Serious crashes must have a major impact on confidence and finance. I think he can / will come good again. -
Results Removed from Speedway Star?
Hodgy replied to Sings4Speedway's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
As per my previous comment on this thread, for me, SS has always been front two page headlines followed by back page(s) results and match reports. Understand your budget is limited. However, you have enough detail to restructure the result, scorers, headlines of each meeting separately, also include the team(s) news. Rather than the multi meetings format that doesn’t flow. -
Posted similar several times. These freaks hate silence, no response at all - eats them alive and eventually disappear. Although, tissue sales would fall. What a sad life they must live.
