What a contrast to last season’s, Dads Army walk on’. Wouldn’t put either in my team next season. Probably the reason they couldn’t be arsed to respect the supporters of many years.
-
Sorry, don’t agree. Teams announced - The teams were announced yet no mention of the absence until those that had travelled to see him. No consideration for the paying public. Go live with Tai ya Dosser. PS - BP I’m not calling you the Dosser.

R. Lambert is a disgrace to British Speedway. Comes back to assist BV to the title then offski. Really not doing himself any favours, spoilt brat. Absolute D Head. Think you’re the dogs, you’re not and never will be.
-
Lambert, Wright & Spooner in the PL, in addition to R/R. You just couldn’t make it up. Going as expected After years of uncertainty I now actually don’t care anymore. British Speedway is a complete farce, run by complete self centred idiots.
-
Guess it depends on what you’re brought up on. Small track Speedway just doesn’t do it for me. Nice to appear a decent attendance at Monmore (although difficult to tell when viewing space is limited). Awful track, most races done after first lap unless rider mistakes.

Such awful news. Always loved the Nige and Kelvin double act. The man was a true lover of our sport and promoted it at every opportunity. Taken so young at 52. RIP Nigel - my thoughts are with you, your family, friends and loved ones.

Thanks, for the advice. I did actually work that difference out during the lengthy phone call. They guaranteed I would get The Speedway GP’s with the year 1 year offer. I, like you, wasn’t so sure. However now it’s been confirmed all GP’s and a selection of PL meetings will be screened on both Discovery+ Entertainment & Sports and Eurosport I see no need for Discovery +, what is the point.
-
This is so unnecessarily confusing. I received a Sky VIP email last week that usually mean nothing. On this occasion I noticed an offer of Discovery + free for 1 year (App). I’ve read so many different opinions regarding Discovery + I didn’t know what was legit. The dreaded phone call - after the usual painful 2 hours it was confirmed to me from India, Ireland and Outta Mongolia I will get the Speedway GP’s on Discovery + and the meetings on Eurosport, even though I don’t now have Sky Sports. Doubt that will be so, we will see.

As much as it pains me. I support the opinion. It’s very admiral to support those that performed so well last season. Sadly that’s not how Speedway works. Not confident we will make the playoffs. Very much hope I’m wrong.
-
To me, this is a completely wasted opportunity. Media, guests, sponsors and season ticket holders only. Why? We are not in the luxurious position that can afford to separate. It’s a rare season opener marketing opportunity - why not try and sell it to all that have an interest - nothing to lose, only potential gain. If we really want to promote then bloody promote it.
-
You’ve just repeated it twice.

Apologies but I don’t really understand your agenda. Why are you such a Poole hater, that would pleasure you if they closed, and admit you deserve ‘the individual abuse’? Take your issues up with the decision makers if they make you so bitter. Appreciate if you could also advise why I am embarrassing and arrogant?
-
It doesn’t matter how you say it, your spelling and grammar you use. It’s the content and aggressive meaning of your posts that angers. Which is obviously your intent. Sorry but you can’t then play the emotional card if you continue to throw stones. That often contains your desire to lose another Speedway club.
-
Oh yes I certainly do, was at Newport, Ipswich and Peterborough supporting Pedersen and Sadler.
-
Hope so. I do have my reservations regarding full throttle newby’s. How many times have we said a race is 4 laps then in the fence after 2. Made a big difference to Poole once he settled. Really can’t predict how he will go. Will need to start well with Oyster easing himself back on such an average. Sheffield look the team to beat in my opinion.
-
History means nothing! Are you being serious? Then a dig at a very successful club hoping they will end. Forgive me if incorrect but that is exactly how your post reads. I have supported Peterborough for many years, most began with little success (apart from 4TT with home advantage). Then finally after the Hawkins era we became winners, NL and PL. Memories that will stay with me forever, even if the bulldozers eventually move in. Poole have had tough times but found success and a legacy of success. I’ve not always agreed with rule manipulation but it’s been going on long before Poole.

Chris Manchester immediately came to mind. He was improving rapidly but recall he had a few crashes and completely lost his nerve. He gave it another go but his head had completely gone.

Until the day I agree. -

You have moaned about all same day call offs. Now your gripe is deflected towards the Eastbourne early decision. To which I can understand. Very different to midday call offs based on persistent rain forecasts. -

Thus proving yesterday’s decisions the logical call. -

Why can’t you get it? (Oh no! I sound like Wolfie). The days of Dave Allen riding in his overalls on sawdust are long gone. Not exactly entertainment. Many clubs are on life support and have no choice but to rely on weather forecasts. A last minute or early heat call off could be so critical for most clubs. I agree it’s a pi$$ poor business model but in your opinion of keeping it on until the last minute is unfortunately not where we are. If the forecast is bad, it would cut income considerably. Your examples don’t support your stance. Would you really travel many miles for a meeting given a dreadful forecast? -
Nigel Pearson will have a brief slot on TalkSPORT in a mo talking about Speedway’s situation.
