Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
Hodgy replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes I know but my point is, does it really matter? It's not as if he was offside, therefore gained the advantage. 4 riders competed, goggles made no difference to the heat result. -
Poole Vs The Aces For The Title

FFS pages of a guy riding without goggles (now I'm contributing). Smacks of desperation. Whatever the rules he gained no advantage, in fact was more disadvantaged. Yes I know rules are rules but wouldn't we all rather see a 4 rider heat? Or do we prefer to win on a technical? Belle Vue put up a great fight but Poole are worthy winners, end of! -
Premier League Riders Championship - Sheffield 6th Sep
Hodgy replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Completely agree. This used to be the PL prestige event of the season, a must see. Top riders from each team challenging to be The PLRC. Now it appears the odd meeting elsewhere is more important than appearing for the team / supporters that follow week in week out. We have all read so many opinions regarding the problems with British Speedway recently, yet they can't sort this simple situation to satisfy all. Then laughingly continue to analyse why people lose interest. If they can't give it priority then why should I.... -
In other words, everyone's opinion that doesn't match yours is brainless.

Never had you down as so easily pleased. So, with Ully, Allen, The Lamberts out - Raffa has heat 2 sorted. Only 14 more heats to to worry about. We're getting there!!!

Belle Vue, Kings Lynn Or Swindon For 3rd/4th Spot

I would say improvement rather than achievement. -
How could I forget 😉 4-5 points is ok if they are a result of beating the opposition riders.
-
But does very little thereafter, has he won other than heat 2? That was my intended meaning of regular. Agree seems a pleasant guy.
-
Surprised to see Barker watching the meeting from the pits, even more surprised to see him looking well and slim. Thought I read some time ago his challenge was to be fit for the start of next season. With Ully, Allen and both Lamberts out we need a regular heat winner.

That's all subjective. Still not convinced hosts qualify automatic - but stand to be corrected.

Richie Worrall (the Future Of Speedway)
Hodgy replied to topaz325's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Kurtz maybe younger but has been riding Speedway much longer than both Worrall twins. They only started speedway a few years ago. As is often the case with British speedway many riders are victims of their own success. The better you improve the more risk you have putting yourself out of a job. -
You sure? My understand was qualifification was based on top 5 riders averages, thus creating top 8 teams at the cut of point when Jupiter aligns with Mars.
-
No guests in the 4's, never has been. If there were the R Lambert situation would be even more ridiculous than it already is. Whose averages did they use to qualify?

Have You Ever Seen Anything Like This ?

Maybe it's just me but it appears you have misinterpretated UK Martins post. If not, it's one hell of an over reaction. -

The loony village idiot is back. Ignore and don't bite. Is just what it wants. -
If Coventry had the meeting won after heat 9. In my opinion both teams would be debating exact opposite. Speedway is full of self agenda's with little consideration for supporters.

Don't read it or comment then. Simples!!! Might only be 4,000 pages then. -
Finally managed to watch the latest SEC last night. Thought immediately Gollob at fault for heading right thus causing the tangle. Couldn't believe the stunned reaction from commentators, then again Sam does talk crap. You would never think he was a top rider based on his opinions. Recall Hans Nielsen used to get away with this move often. Right call from ref in my opinion.

Sky are leading the horse to water, The BSPA are not drinking. -

Sky promoted a meeting utilising a head line maker. They do it very well - some people and Speedway in general should grasp it and learn how to promote / market / sell. The 100's of posts on this forum Ward creates confirms they got it right, again. -
Assume he was paid.
-
It appears Nicholls has a similar relationship with BSPA as KP has with ECB.
-
Agree, absolute embarrassing farce - and what an awful meeting too. On a positive young Lambert was on the pace and impressed.

Anyone got hotel rooms booked they plan to cancel? Message me if so please.
