  1. Look up 'self righteous' definition, then read your post again.
  2. Surely his duty (and all promotors) is to increase those £18 punters, then entertain. Unfortunately it's very difficult to sell Man Utd reserves are in town. How have we sunk so low as to having teams race a meeting with only 2 of their own!!! It's so out of control. BCD doesn't critisise the sport - only the way it is run, the frustrations many share. Hearing many voicing the need for more EL meetings - but always struggle to fit in what they have. Sorry not very positive - but no mind, most only remember the negatives.
  3. Or a reminder of where we are. PL / EL double uppers as our only choice of GP reserve Wild cards.
  4. I would agree with that if it wasn't for the pi$$ poor date planning. Was so easy to give the World Champ the wild card option. If that was then refused I could understand your disappointment, putting it mildly. Would have been a much better spectacle with him in it. Think we are getting dizzy now!!! Yes, also last weeks SS stated Nicki as a multi millionaire. Think our Rob's on to something.
  5. As previously stated I have no idea of actual earnings. Can only form an opinion based on following the sport. Not sure all is so cosy at several Polish clubs. I bow down to your inside knowledge. Which makes it even more difficult to understand why you condem him for choosing Poland over Blighty. What would you do given the chance to pay off your mortgage! Ride at Lakeside to prove your British.
  6. Guess away! Come back with facts! Can't imagine Tai is the best paid sportsman in Poland, but I am only guessing.
  7. Apologies, thought you knew his income. Not sure why you keep repeating he owes British Speedway - many clubs wanted to pay for his services, not just doing him a favour. Your Polish example's contradict and answer themselves. The clue is in the question! Can see you will never change your strong opinion, is your choice. Think you should now let it go and support a British World GP contender. That grew up in a different country and employed bad advises that made him a 'multi millionaire', as you say.
  8. Ignoring the twaddle. He has a contract with a Polish club, to which you confirm pay him millions. Therefore assume he does as they say.
  9. Yes or no wouldn't create much of a forum. Understand your point but debating why we think yes or no is as far as it need go. Unfortunately we usually end up in the same place. PS - Yes
  10. Doesn't matter who proposed the suggestion. My point was, for someone so vocal towards others charitable contributions yet only offer a token gesture for a UK Speedway pass, comes across as a tad hypocritical.
  11. Don't recall I have ever said I know more about Speedway riders Pay in Poland - only stating multi millionaire is news to me. I do read of riders often not being paid. I was responding to 'your' quote advising you would donate £50 for a free pass, well done. Recommend you 'read your own posts", might help you 'get your facts right'.
  12. Very big difference between revenue and profit. Assume that power doesn't come cheap. Speedway multi millionaire does sound a tad exaggerated. Nice of you to offer a token gesture for a UK Speedway pass, very admiral. Maybe you should take your own advice and do a bit more, at least offer Ben the going rate. Given? Contributed to years of pay days and buckets.
  13. 'Multi Millionaire'!!! You sure??? GOSH not British enough for you? What is your contribution to British Speedway, other than demanding free entry? Hope to hear you are contributing, raising funds, as a former rider.
  14. Understand we like to look after our own - but surely the +100k he has raised for sick children confirms his dedication to a chosen charity and deserves the utmost credit. You appear to keep ignoring that fact!
  15. Why? It's very easy to understand. We nearly completed a page of positive debating.
  16. If his bike is sick I guess he is out of the race. Surely pushing a dead / poorly bike to the edge of the green is quite different to riding on it.
  17. Don't fall for it. Unfortunately these forums attract the odd freak that get off on provoking a reaction. It doesn't take long to suss... Just don't respond.
  18. The usual suspects responses highlight their lack of ability to debate, so won't waste much time on it. Banging the same drum despite numerous factual responses - 'assuming' Tai chose Britain for an easy GP route, Crump comparison is completely different situation, Tai's fault British Speedway is in a mess and therefore makes a better living elsewhere, raising over 100k for a 'British' children's hospital counts for nothing. What a traitor... 'You're'! That lacks credibility.
  19. You do appear to have a personal vendetta. Not Tai's decision to relocate to Oz after being born in Blighty. Surely it's understandable he has a connection with Australia, the country he was brought up. He had the choice but decided his allegiance was with nationality of birth and parentage - respect, accept and understand that decision. Yes, maybe he has an accent and is a tad cock sure but hey!!! He's 2 times British World Champion. We don't have much success to shout about these days. Embrace it!!!
  20. Thanks for the quote. However by pulling out of the conflicting semi final, and with no automatic wild card, naturally meant he was out of the final.
  21. Don't recall any communication stating this, maybe you know more. My understanding (as I read it) is, the British Sem-final was planned for a very well known GP weekend. At first I was disappointed with Tai for pulling out but now see the reasons. It surely could have been so much easier; don't plan conflicting meetings the same weekend - and give the current World Champion the first wild card.
  22. My assumptions added to yours in brackets. Seriously, this situation highlights how out of control we are. Strange thing to me is in my opinion I'm not convinced it strengthens Panthers that much - short term.
  23. That's just about finished me and probably Peterborough Speedway. No longer feel I want to follow a sport that is run by complete and utter incompetent / biased members. All in the best interests of the sport. Take a bow BSPA.
