Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
Hodgy replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Yes of course Tai should have been a first GB pick, performed superb and interviewed well. Definitely appeared a different approach. However your gloating that it proved someone wrong is incorrect to the initial question / opinion. The question was 'should', not 'could'. His ability to perform was never in doubt or challenged. -
Agree with you on this. Who would have believed permitting Jens Rasmussen to ride for Rye House in the PL 1988 would result in such a major impact on British Speedway. Wonder where we would be now if they hadn't opened the door. Better or worse? Seeing some positive shoots from the NL, MDL, Vatcher and team youth development set up. Several promising young lads making good progress. Hope it continues.

Craig Featherby at Peterborough 1983. Another very sad day. -

I'm not taking sides. Just seeing a great opportunity to boost the fund. Reading a few posts stating they will take the bet - but all need to be clear on what the exact bet is. I could bet you a £1M, you then prove you are what it takes. You are open to the public and i'm outta here. Doubt there are many that would seriously pay out £10k as a result of a forum scrap. -

You raise some issues that need to be addressed - however, I enjoyed it immensely. You're glad you didn't go - I'm pleased I did. Both happy. -

This could be an amazing contribution to the great Ben Fund So who is in for the 10k bet (really in, not just words) and what does your nemesis Robert72 need to prove for the takers to pay up? If he can't, then he pays up. Let's make it clear. -
Premier League 4's

Great weekend of action and atmosphere. Well done to all that contributed. Would guess the attendance today was around 3k. Stand to be corrected. Only downer was the individual format. 20 heat formula with top 2 scorers v semi final 1 & 2 would have been much better in my opinion. As per PLRC. Competing against your team mate in every heat - who came up with that idea? Certainly not baby Bear and Andersen. Shame a few riders didn't want to play in the individual event - assume they have their reasons but some need to realise fans travel to support their team - and those that represent. In summary though - very positive. Plymouth very worthy winners. -

You really are such a sycophant. Again I was going to offer you an opportunity to discuss as an adult but your desperation precedes. Now trying to befriend those you have ridiculed many times, very sad and desperate. You clearly stated '100%' (the termilogy you like to make up to suit) you are 'always right' when you post (fact as you say). I love it when the bullies get some back - bad day for the bully boys, who is really looking the fool today. Night night! -

Oh dear, you call others bigots. Completely proves my point - just give it up!!! You really don't 'know it all'! -
Because the real word is banned, there's a reason for that. What a poor 'fecking' response.
-
My pleasure, pleased you appreciated my confirmation you so desired. Therefore can tweak and twist to your content. Bringing in personal names again highlights how low you will go to try and win a debate. I am quite sure the said person respects their sons achievements in their chosen sport. That wasn't the debate but hey, you will go as far as it takes. As you continue to avoid my point I'll now ask you the questions, do you have children? If so, would you be quite 'respective' when they came home with facial tattoos, huge earings shouting making some fecking noise papa? Sometimes we may have to accept it but doesn't mean many approve, or in your case it's ok if your a WC. To laugh and say good on ya son in my opinion would make you irresponsible, happy now? - but it's 2016 and the youngsters now rule right? The Hillsboro T Shirt is quite acceptable these days, now times have changed. I bid you farewell and expect the usual reply. Not wasting anymore of my time with you. If that makes you feel you have won, so be it. At least Kleenex will benefit.
-
Really? So you think the guy wearing the Hillsboro T Shirt is quite acceptable as it's 2016, he was only expressing himself. Homosexuality is not a choice but clothes, hair, tattoos and piercings are, totally different. No comparison at all. I decided not to respond to the 'know it all's' last post as the question was loaded as per norm. Unfortunately he / she forgot to mention one major part, the one that started this thread. How convenient. If it makes he / she happy I stand by my original post. I very much doubt many parents would be totally happy when their offspring comes home with facial tattoos, huge piercings asking what's for f*cking dinner? They may accept their decision but doubt it's a preference. Now off for more Sangria. Night night, await the usual.
-
Oh shut up you complete plank. I offered you a stalemate but still you bark on with made up accusations, twisting words. Not once have I mentioned the parents you refer, that's all your doing - only asked forum input regarding parental response - you made the rest up to support your desperate argument. Just highlights how desperate you are to win a debate when you resort to such sadness. YOU not me. Now you have added certain personal criteria several times - highlights how desperate you are and the inability to debate. Hope school next week defines the word bigot, you appear to love it so much yet fail to understand the meaning. Very much a positive. The perfect response, respect others opinions or be labelled a bigot (so fed up with that word) Have a nice evening.
-
Me too.! Apologies. Stick to the Star Lady type posts.
-
You're really wriggling now and resorting to unsavoury tactics (again), as per usual. Tattoos, food, movies and Mrs Woffinden desperate comparisons. We will agree to disagree as most end up with your posts, or you will bore me to death . Now let me enjoy my holiday. Let's have a beer at the 4's and have an adult conversation. Look forward to it - leave the briefcase at home.
-
Here we go again, the know it all clearly knows what everyone else thinks. Then resorts to 'wriggle out and dig out of a hole' tactics. I stand by my initial statement, very sorry but this makes you incorrect - apologies if it hurts. You made more out of it, then expanded beyond the need and I tried to make my point from a parental view. I now fully understand your perspective, sorry it took a while but you do go on. You don't agree with facial tattoos or deliberatly swearing yet accuse me of wriggling - but each to their own, as long as they are a World Champ.
-
Yes you are. Your despicable reply, laced with assumptions far surpassed mine - but you will go as far and low as it takes to try and win a debate.
-
Exactly, I said YOU know it alls - regarding your offspring coming home as described numerous times. No mention of the twisted words you added. You calling people bigots is like someone wearing glasses calling another 4 eyes. No wonder so many just give up tryng to debate with you.
-
My god you do waffle on and make it up as you go. No wonder so many just give up with your 'know it all' attitude. You finally answered the question, to which you appear to have a problem with a simple yes or no - but as usual you hid it within a load of unnecessary made up BS.
-
You absolute low life!!! How dare you accuse me of such misdemeanours. Twisting others words as per usual just to try and win a debate, didn't think even you would resort to such drastic and damaging words, you not me. I said 'YOU', and your offspring - to which you have still never answered, you prefer to resorting by deflecting to my detriment. You really will resort to anything to win your argument. Ok, you have it - no wonder I rarely get involved. What a sad person you appear. Would say 'are', but that wouldn't be factual would it!!!
-
Bigotry - intolerance towards those who hold different opinions from oneself. That's you in abundance - however you will never see it as you rarely see things from others points of view. Think that's what they call a bigot - appears to be the forums new buzz word. You will bark on insisting you are right until the other gives up or dies. I have learned to accept there are usually two sides. Not sure what "called out on it" means, forgive my ignorance. If you are quite content and respect your offsprings decision to tattoo their face, have ears dumbo would be proud and deliberatly swear in front of millions, fair play. Not my idea of a responsible parent - but hey, wouldn't want to be accused of bigotry. If you are visiting the EOES soon I can show you my tattoos and piercings. I quite like them but it's good to be able to cover when I need to appear grown up and professional.
-
Feel honoured the no 1 'know it all', my opinion is always the right, responds to my post. Thank you, exactly as expected. You didn't answer my post at all, but to contradict yourself in all 3 lines takes some doing.
-
So,,, all you 'know it all', down with the kids parents will be very supportive when your offspring comes home with a face, hands & body saturated with tattoos, massive holes in their ears shouting "lets hear some fu**ing noise papa!!!" will be very understanding and happily bid goodnight waving the Union Jack, it's the way of the world my boy. Bull$hit!!! 2013 I was cheering Tai as loud as any, also 2015 but it felt less so. Now, I actually don't feel I cheer as much. Pi$$ poor marketing with arrogance doesn't do it for me but if it increases his publicity good luck to him. I don't warm to the 'I'm beyond the rules attitude'.

Awful accusation, and potentially damaging assumption. You are providing your mate Rob with all the ammo he needs and coming across as extremely biased.
