  1. Woffinden would never pull out of the British GP. You are getting your GP's and British Finals mixed up.
  2. League winners 4 times during last 6 seasons. What a 'pathetic', fickle, unappreciative comment.
  3. There are numerous emotional discussions, shared opinions and scraps on this forum. All's fair in love and war. Unfortunately you get the odd sad multi alias freak on a fetish wind up. The best response is no response.
  4. Can't believe the negative comments. A major U.K. City dominated by Speedway - isn't that what we all crave. Excellent value, all seating provides great viewing. Very easy to move if your neighbours are not to your liking. It took the hotels a few years to catch on but unfortunately it's supply and demand, agree it's frustrating but guess we would all do the same. The Pairs and Cardiff GP by far the best weekend in the U.K. Speedway calendar.
  5. After a slow, nervous start I thought it was a very entertaining meeting. Some really scary racing - edge of the seat moments. Very pleased there were no major accidents and they all finished safe. Lovely Jubbly!
  6. Stated a fall at home earlier this week dislocated shoulder, then popped out again during practice.
  7. Anyone know where the Polish highlights have gone? Not seen the programme for a while and can't see it planned for next week.
  8. I'm sure he is ecstatic with the signing. Nothing to do with being a Brit though. Lol
  9. Thought you would be pleased its a Brit. Or is that null and void when it's Poole? Still missing that big hitting No 1 needed to qualify and compete for the play offs.
  10. Same for me. Really annoying. Recording stopped at heat 11. Second time this has happened already on Sky Q. There is no option to extend the recording time. Shouldn't need to record the following programme. Surely they can set it to finish an overrun meeting.
  11. Bugger! Recording stopped just as they were gating heat 14. Can't see a setting on Sky Q to extend the recording time. Thought they had trained it to finish the programme. The meeting highlighted the absolute importance of track prep. Great line ups negated by a dangerous track. Similar to the track Poole presented last week. Surely by now there must be a consistent recipe for a well prepared track.
  12. Nature of the beast. We cannot compete when the Polish come calling. I'll take the short term positive that he's giving British Speedway a go. Be interesting to see how he performs on the UK 'horror tracks' ;-)
  13. Sweden crowds increased but not only as a result of introducing the play offs. Swedish Speedway was entering a high, Rickardsson was major sport headlines, they were winning World Cups and attracting the big names. Having said that, in my opinion, the play offs are a necessary evil.
  14. Not very entertaining but great win for GB. A medal in the final would surpass expectation. Poland should win it with ease. The ridiculous 'Joker' has got to go - it's a showpiece event, not a game show. I would prefer the last 4 heats to be decided on lowest to highest scorers. Simple and logical in my opinion.
  15. Agree, I like the guys passion for winning and representing his country with pride. The GP Challenge is such a tough one, with only 3 making it. Also agree if he doesn't qualify he should be seriously considered for a wildcard pick. He won the last two rounds and looking very fast in both leagues. Not riding in Poland and Sweden will go against him. Looking at some of the riders they sign I'm surprised Cook isn't in greater demand.
  16. As per my earlier post I believe there is such a rule in football, introduced around 2004. Once a player represents a country in an official international competition they cannot play for any other country thereafter. Which is why there is a often a mad scramble to get a promising youngster capped. I stand to be corrected. This could and should be easily adopted in Speedway.
  17. I believe it is true. The rule was brought in after Grobbelaar's playing days and I can only see Wojciech Szczęsny representing Poland, guess you may know something I don't. Either way, I'm pretty sure if Messi became a British Citizen he would never be eligible to play for England, that's my point.
  18. Any Player who has already participated in a match (either in full or in part) in an Official Competition of any category or any type of football for one Association may not play an international match for a representative team of another Association. This rule was brought in to football to stop these embarrassing situations. Very simple to follow and logical in my opinion.
  19. Why do you and Steve B encourage argument and continually seek one-upmanship? Taking over club threads regurgitating the same old spiel. Your last sentence would have been a perfect response to Roberts original post, without the need for all the in-between crap. You actually agree with each other. Posters that include childish 'ner ner ner ner ner' emojis are treated as such.
  20. To the person that stole my trainers when I was on the Bouncy Castle, Fecking 'Grow Up'!!! Sounds familiar.
  21. Embarrass himself? Making the top 16 in the World on numerous occasions is a fantastic achievement. A true Brit, always proud to represent his club and country. A proud, patriotic British Champion, gives it his all, rarely moans and interviews as a down to earth chap. All without a silver spoon. Give the guy some credit.
  22. Very entertaining GP once it got going. Never thought I would ever say that about a meeting at The Marketa.
