Who will be taking Gregs place ?
Hodgy replied to adonis's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not the time or place. -
Ged and team did a great job running and saving Peterborough. They decided to sell up for reasons stated. Surely if you are lucky enough to tempt a buyer in this game, you take it. Can’t see why the seller should be blamed for the buyers thereafter actions.

Poole v Kings Lynn. 11/4/2019 Shield 2nd leg
Hodgy replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So you are sure you know ‘the guys’ financial status, therefore judge he should donate all proceeds to charity rather than ‘trouser it’? Assume you will be doing the same with your pension. -
Poole v Kings Lynn. 11/4/2019 Shield 2nd leg
Hodgy replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
‘The Guy’ lost everything from his testimonial meeting when the club went under. He didn’t request the benefit meeting, it was offered, so hardly greed. Pi$$ poor post from you. -
Yes but unfortunately in a different league. I would think Barker and Summers could match Woryna on UK tracks.
-
Maybe, but It’s Cook that needs replacing. Woryna doesn’t score the points Cook would.

Ipswich V Kings Lynn Thursday April 4th 7.30pm
Hodgy replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Okay if legit. Not when it’s encouragingly gerrymandered. -

Sums up a ridiculous idea. -
Nonsense
-
What is?
-
No. Whatever you think (we all have our favourites), Tai is the most successful British Rider.

Great twist on it. Opportunity to promote entertainment on your doorstep. I would love to have a track within walking distance. Sadly, it only takes a few ‘Only Me’s’ to make things difficult. Swindon fans get buying - some could watch from their bedroom.
-
Really!!! Does it matter? Worky are still on ice, yes it’s all looking very challenging. The 2019 thread is very welcome and can provide any future updates, hopefully positive. Some good posters on the thread - only Jenga takes some translation

Apologies Leander. Took my own advice and read the article again. What you say is correctly quoted. The misunderstanding on my side is that Mason states he will be 27 in two years, getting too late to start over again. He will be 26 for the 2020 season so wrongly assumed he would have to miss two seasons. As you say, great shame he has been forced into this situation, again.
-
Certainly??? Recommend you read Mason’s interview in last weeks Speedway Star.
-
He would be out for 2 years.
-
Speedway Star covered this story a few weeks ago. Great to see it also made TV.
-
Signing a rider +6 weeks ago, promoting a ‘marquee signing’, selling season tickets, then release the rider in order to cut costs. That’s a Pi$$ poor business model.
-
Correct decision then. It’s never been a secret.
-
Report in Speedy Star two weeks ago stated Belle Vue released Jack. Maybe he had already agreed a deal with Redcar. A rider of his level needs NL rides to gain experience. Another victim of averages, as was Papa Smith on several occasions. 38 was a dreadful decision.
-
As I recall it wasn’t his quote. Hope they are as ‘glad to be back in it’. The positive is Mildenhall are still running.

Barry Hearn and 'player power'
Hodgy replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Understand your thinking bruv - but Snooker is not a team sport, dictated by averages that all too often rewards poor performers more than those that have exceeded. Promoters like Hearn wouldn’t go near such a farcical situation. Hearn would only be interested in the World stage. GP’s are more comparable to Snooker, Its Individual and the players don’t control it. -
Really don’t understand the need to add ‘must have been in the CL / NL’. Just give the reduction to all British riders, that haven’t previously rode for another country.
-
Or, you have a good season and ride yourself out of a job.
