Peterborough V Gb Select 15/3/15 2pm
em1500uk replied to Noodles's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
My first Peterborough fixture won't be this one, but next Sunday v Somerset I hope those going tomorrow see a good meeting -
That's exactly what I was thinking and that is partly why I gave up with P&P days or evenings years ago.
-
Hope all goes well for him And welcome back to Star Fever!
-
2pm start for the Great Britain Select (15th March) and 1pm start for the League Cup against Somerset (22nd March)
-
Have they not announced any of that stuff yet?! And what about prices on the day? I know I won't be bothering with a season ticket anyway. Not bothered for many a year. No real incentive! I thought that the on the day prices were going up slightly this year, least that's what was talked about at the supporters meeting back in December...
-
Maybe they do now... They sponsor the grandstand at The Walks, so to sponsor the Norfolk Arena wouldn't be a surprise! Ah Fair dos then! Hope all goes well
-
That's what I keep asking myself... Cheers for this information I'm still kinda sceptical, but thank you in any case. We will see!

From reading this http://www.speedwaygb.co/gbe it looks like Kozza may well be affected. Although he has an average of over 7 (I believe?) that average was not achieved last year, so I suspected that he may well be disallowed. Massive shame if that proves to be the case, but rules are rules.
-
Thank you! So it looks like quite a few may well end up being affected then by reading that. Although in the last sentence it does say that extensions and exceptions can be made for those that have been injured (with medical evidence given) where they fail to meet the required average, but that may well not come into play with any of the Aussies etc that are currently affected.
-
Well I'm the first 25-40 female to vote so it seems
-
Where does it state this? Can't see anything in the Workington press release about the average needing to have been achieved in the previous year...but maybe they've left that detail out
-
Changed his mind Taking a break didn't last very long
-
And sometimes, he even gets that bit of information wrong if I remember rightly
-
Out of all of the responses, that has cracked me up! Yes I remember Peterborough's 'gift' back in 2010...

Has anyone heard any news on who the new number 7 will be? I believe we were waiting on the fitness of Ashley Morris, but I honestly don't think he'll be ready for the start of this season. Head injuries can take a long time to fully recover from. I had heard Tom Stokes' name mentioned a couple of weeks back, but nothing else... Only curious
-
Me and my father worked this out just recently when we decided to consider taking season tickets...but like you say, only he would need to purchase a concessional season ticket. For me to spend £300 on the adult season ticket would just not be worth while. You'd just have to hope that the Panthers progressed through all competitions, but there's no guarantee of that happening! Now I detect a hint of sarcasm
-
I think you are on a wind up sir
-
OK, me and you makes two at least then
-
I'm going to guess at...absolutely no one else is happy bar me The race days they've picked should be OK for families with younger children I would've said. No school on Saturdays and at the time they run on Sundays, they should all be home in enough time to get to bed ready for school on a Monday

Not posted here in a while! Good to see that the admission prices have been frozen for this year Upon looking through the fixtures, I'm personally quite happy to see a fair few meetings going ahead on a Sunday late afternoon or early evening. Works a treat for me! Good to see that bank holiday Mondays are also back as there didn't seem to be many, if any, used as fixture dates last year. They also work well for me! As for the Friday dates that are used, because they're spread out a bit, asking to leave a little early from work shouldn't be much of a bother. All in all, I'm happy. I don't know about anyone else
-
James Cockle? What? Are some people for real? He's one person I certainly wouldn't pick. As has been stated, I don't think he's good enough.
-
I wouldn't have thought that Ashley Morris will be fit by January. Wolverhampton can say yeah he'll be OK by then, but I'm doubtful of that. Someone had suggested Oliver Greenwood to me, but I couldn't see his name in the tier 2 group. I know Darryl Ritchings' name was in that group and I wouldn't mind giving him a go, but of course, the lower down the list we go, the less choice of guests we have...least I believe that to be the case. It's a difficult one!
-
It's annoying enough having guests in the EL! So I understand fans frustrations, particularly if you've travelled to say, Berwick for example, only to find several of your teams riders missing. Yes. Yes that's what I was trying to explain I knew of that rule change as it came up at Lynn's recent fans forum. So wait, that does mean that Simon will be missing when Leicester race then Hmm. Well, let's hope neither Lynn's or Leicester's fixtures clash with the Panthers then! EDIT: yes, I am also an idiot for making an incorrect statement before hahaha!
-
Blackbird will race for Peterborough so I think, and hope, that the only rider that may well miss a few fixtures during the course of the season, will be Robert Lambert as we own him and we're using him too. Could be a touchy subject that, being old rivals and all that
-
No. Leicester won't have priority. Peterborough will. The PL club will take priority over the EL club where neither club owns the rider. That's how I understand it anyway. Robert Lambert will miss a few fixtures when Lynn have an EL fixture...that's if we end up with clashes. Welcome to Simon anyway Just wonder who the final rider will be. I personally don't want to see Dilger again, but that's just my own view, and I'm not the one assembling this team, so it doesn't matter what I think
