  1. In response to your post Mimmo, in light of what you've said, I can kinda see why it may not make a great deal of difference to the attendance figures, but still, it would be nice to have results put into the paper. For the meeting to get mentioned on a Wednesday, but then to have no results in on a Thursday, seems a bit odd to me.
  2. Yes. I agree! Maybe if it was mentioned in the local press a bit more (i.e correct line ups given beforehand and then meeting reports posted afterwards) it might tempt a few more people into going on a regular basis? You never know...
  3. I wasn't at the meeting last night but looks like it was a pretty good performance by our team considering we're without Lewis and Darren. Once again, I see there is NO report in the EDP on this meeting today, not even a small mention. Anyone care to shed light on why this is? It'd be good for the results of the meetings to actually get printed in the local press!
  4. Dad told me this earlier as he listens to Radio Norfolk a bit. Hilarious isn't it?
  5. Interesting... Thinking back, I thought he wanted to give speedway up at the end of last season? Could be wrong, but I thought I saw it mentioned somewhere online. If he is deciding to call it a day, I'd presume it's down to the cost of buying the equipment and maintaining the equipment he has.
  6. Best wishes to Darren and Lewis! A very sad state of affairs really. Luck just doesn't seem to be coming to King's Lynn much at the moment
  7. Have svemo.se sorted out their results pages and so on yet?
  8. I agree. It was an excellent website for getting a lot of information from all the Swedish leagues. It was easy to navigate and find the details you wanted. I've only just discovered that speedway.nu was discontinuing and that svemo.se was taking over the live updates and so on. I only want the results to see how Kenneth Bjerre, Niels-Kristian Iversen and Mads Korneliussen are doing for their teams over there. Looks like I won't be able to post any links to any details on my unofficial King's Lynn website until Svemo sort their stuff out!
  9. Thanks folks! Wasn't at the last NL meeting at Lynn so hadn't a clue. What's the new date, if anyone knows?
  10. Just checking that the Young Stars are up against the Potters tomorrow? Not seen a topic for this meeting anywhere, so just wondered if it was still going ahead? If it is, any details i.e start time and line ups? I guess Lynn are still operating R/R for Adam Lowe?
  11. Should be going to this one after all. Hope our lads have a good meeting!
  12. Fantastic news for Mildenhall and their supporters Not been there for quite a while but may well make some trips over this year. The curry sauce at the track is certainly the best I've tasted, so nice to see that returning as well hopefully
  13. Not sure what to make of the signing of Cockle myself...
  14. Indeed! Will Brundle really be given another chance though? He's already had a few (!)
  15. I think it's only D/Us that can't ride through all 3 leagues. Don't think the #8 is affected? As a #8, I don't think we'd be calling Roynon up that often...
  16. I'd plumb for Lambert or someone of his calibre as well. I thought Cal was after a team place somewhere next season, but then again, that's only going by what I've seen him say generally on Facebook. The latest I've seen is that he wants to race, but he may not if he doesn't get a place anywhere, which I think would be a shame. I hope someone decides to give him a go!
  17. Courtney had been sold to Leicester anyway. He's racing for them next year
  18. Could mean no space for Cal McDade then
  19. I'll say the curry sauce at Mildenhall is pretty damn good as well, while people are talking about the quality of the fish and chips
  20. I'd like to see Cal McDade come back in for us, even though he has to travel all the way from Glasgow! Nice lad and seems committed and I still believe he'll be a better rider once he has good equipment under his belt. Like ajh has said, I can't see Scott Campos coming back myself... These lads - Jake Knight, Adam Lowe, Lewis Kerr, Darren Mallett - I would imagine will feature in the team somewhere and probably Chris Widman too. As for Rhys Naylor, I'm unsure on that one. I'm just waiting for the day when Robert Lambert can join a NL team. He is one hell of a talent and someone we should definitely keep our eyes on.
  21. Anyone able to tell me what the concession and junior prices are please and thanks?
  22. I'm hoping they do decide to continue with NL racing at the NA. Not heard anything about the status of the NL team for next year yet. Perhaps that'll be part of tomorrow's announcement or something?
  23. That's my theory at this moment in time as well. We'll find out in just over 24 hours...
  24. Granted, the weekly emails were a good thing, but they only really focused on the home meetings. Don't think I ever saw an away fixture being promoted over email i.e with possible team line ups or whatever, but that's just me being picky I guess I've also heard a few people complain that most of the regular news now ends up on Facebook and not the official website. Not everyone has Facebook or the desire to sign up on Facebook, so really the website not having a news page is an issue for some. Some people have suggested I put myself forward for updating the official website, but I'm certainly not doing that as I like doing my own thing. Add what I want, when I want, however I see fit. I'm personally starting to feel like rhidassa, having the football team down the road under the Chapmans care must now make it harder for them to split their time between the two. One team will receive more attention than the other at times and I think currently that it's the football club and that's why the communication has gone down hill this season. In previous years they've not had another club to really worry about. I know there was Mildenhall, but that was a speedway club. Running a football club must be a completely different kettle of fish? As for the rumours that we're going EL, well, I'll believe it when it comes straight out of the horses mouth I think to go up now during these difficult financial times would be suicidal myself but hey ho.
  25. I've always thought the communication from the club with supporters has been pretty poor in all honesty. I try to keep my unofficial website as up-to-date as I can wherever possible, even if it means me going out and finding some news online somewhere else myself. I'd suspect that there is nothing to tell us I see once again that Rye House have completely sorted out their 1-7 already before anyone else has! That's pretty good going if you ask me.
