  1. Courtney had been sold to Leicester anyway. He's racing for them next year
  2. Could mean no space for Cal McDade then
  3. I'll say the curry sauce at Mildenhall is pretty damn good as well, while people are talking about the quality of the fish and chips
  4. I'd like to see Cal McDade come back in for us, even though he has to travel all the way from Glasgow! Nice lad and seems committed and I still believe he'll be a better rider once he has good equipment under his belt. Like ajh has said, I can't see Scott Campos coming back myself... These lads - Jake Knight, Adam Lowe, Lewis Kerr, Darren Mallett - I would imagine will feature in the team somewhere and probably Chris Widman too. As for Rhys Naylor, I'm unsure on that one. I'm just waiting for the day when Robert Lambert can join a NL team. He is one hell of a talent and someone we should definitely keep our eyes on.
  5. Anyone able to tell me what the concession and junior prices are please and thanks?
  6. I'm hoping they do decide to continue with NL racing at the NA. Not heard anything about the status of the NL team for next year yet. Perhaps that'll be part of tomorrow's announcement or something?
  7. That's my theory at this moment in time as well. We'll find out in just over 24 hours...
  8. Granted, the weekly emails were a good thing, but they only really focused on the home meetings. Don't think I ever saw an away fixture being promoted over email i.e with possible team line ups or whatever, but that's just me being picky I guess I've also heard a few people complain that most of the regular news now ends up on Facebook and not the official website. Not everyone has Facebook or the desire to sign up on Facebook, so really the website not having a news page is an issue for some. Some people have suggested I put myself forward for updating the official website, but I'm certainly not doing that as I like doing my own thing. Add what I want, when I want, however I see fit. I'm personally starting to feel like rhidassa, having the football team down the road under the Chapmans care must now make it harder for them to split their time between the two. One team will receive more attention than the other at times and I think currently that it's the football club and that's why the communication has gone down hill this season. In previous years they've not had another club to really worry about. I know there was Mildenhall, but that was a speedway club. Running a football club must be a completely different kettle of fish? As for the rumours that we're going EL, well, I'll believe it when it comes straight out of the horses mouth I think to go up now during these difficult financial times would be suicidal myself but hey ho.
  9. I've always thought the communication from the club with supporters has been pretty poor in all honesty. I try to keep my unofficial website as up-to-date as I can wherever possible, even if it means me going out and finding some news online somewhere else myself. I'd suspect that there is nothing to tell us I see once again that Rye House have completely sorted out their 1-7 already before anyone else has! That's pretty good going if you ask me.
  10. I said literally as he always stands behind you in home straight
  11. Bones probably take longer to heal at his age you know. He's not as young as he once was!
  12. Maybe not, but I personally am pretty confident that he'll be in the side for next season now that Doolan won't be present. Doolan was the only other person who could really step up to be a captain if Topinka wasn't going to feature. Now without Doolan, it only leaves Topinka with his age and experience to help any youngsters along. He's on a very low average now too, which will work in his favour I would've thought.
  13. All I can say in response to that is that life is sometimes a b***h but you just have to get on with it at the end of the day All I want is entertainment as that's what I pay for. Buster and co. should have the business know how by now to manage to keep the club afloat I would've thought. Was it ever announced that Bjerre was joining us as an asset too? I don't think so...
  14. I have to agree with semion. Who does really care who Lasse belongs to? He will be a great rider and if he's only with us for one season and we won't be getting any money out of a sale then so be it. All youngsters probably want to aspire to be in the EL and then the GPs, so...Lasse isn't the first and he won't be the last rider to leave Lynn only after a few seasons. I'm actually looking forward to him having a complete season with us!
  15. Well there is a saying that the truth will out... Nothing would really surprise me anymore!
  16. This isn't one of your wind ups is it screamer? ........... If it's not, it's making it a very interesting state of affairs.
  17. No real surprise there then! As I said before, his brother rides for them, so why not keep it in the family so-to-speak. I must admit we do need to start pumping our asset list up a bit...
  18. Nice to see Daniel Nermark's name mentioned as Kevin's replacement, but like some others, I can't see it happening...as much as I'd love it to! It'll be sad to see Kevin go, but I wish him well, wherever he may end up
  19. I'd be interested to know where you heard this news as well. If that is indeed the case, I could only hope that we keep Oliver Allen on for next year (though I would much rather have Kevin seeing as his average is lower).
  20. I suppose there could be some truth in what scoobydoo has posted with regards to Lasse, what with his brother currently being at Peterborough. I only expected Lasse to be with us for next season anyway and then move on elsewhere, bit like Darcy Ward. They needed an entertainer of sorts in the side for next season, someone to try and pull the crowds in, and Lasse I feel is one of those riders. From what I've seen so far, he'll give people moments to shout about! That's something that's been missing from the side this year IMO. Through the whole of this season, things just seemed kinda...dead in all honesty!
  21. Hey don't put the fault on to me! I thought you'd both already met one another at Scunthorpe last season...in April in the PT meeting. Mother T was stood near us then. Remember? (I guess not!) Anyway, last night she was with me, Sarah and Bish near the pits before the meeting, remember that? I'd have introduced you both to one another if I'd have known you didn't know who each other was! As for the 3 descriptive words, I'll agree with short, but the other two...well... Basically Mother, Wayne was the short Yorkshire man, with glasses and the Slipknot beanie hat. That's a better description I think
  22. Kevin Doolan 8.98 Tomas Topinka 7.61 Lasse Bjerre 7.00 Adam Roynon 3.95 (or 3.85 with a 2.5% British reduction) These names are pretty much certainties, well Lasse and Adam are in any case) As for who the other heat leader, second string and reserve would be is anyone's guess... Darren Mallett (3.90 > 3.80 with 2.5% British reduction) and Simon Lambert (3.35 > 3.27 with 2.5% British reduction) would probably be fighting over the other reserve berth, unless the promotion know of any other decent reserves out there on a 3.00 average, which would be lower than both Simon's and Darren's averages. I'd like to think Cal McDade would be given another go on a 3.00, but seeing as his equipment has let him down over the past month, I can't see that happening. I hope he has a good time in Australia however. Hopefully that will broaden his track skills and help him improve further. Other names that could be in the fray for the heat leader and second string positions: Kozza Smith 6.17 Chris Schramm 6.37 Emiliano Sanchez 6.64 Linus Eklof 5.30 John Oliver 5.43 (his average could be a lot lower with a reduction for him not having raced here for 2 seasons, plus a 2.5% reduction for him having British heritage) If Kozza wasn't kept on for next year, I'd like Emiliano to come in in his place. I know he has a slightly higher average, but he was good both home and away last year and he was pretty consistent, whereas Kozza has been up and down like a yo-yo this season!
  23. You can find me in the home straight stand I've already decided that's where I'll be most of the evening!
  24. No worries. Just thought I'd say there was one hanging in the background
