Me too American rubbish Halloween if you ask me
-
Ha! Noodles I had just copied the same thing to post on here but you've beaten me to it...again

I can't believe that teams are being mentioned when it's still not been confirmed that the club will run next year...but I suppose we all need something to talk about!
-
I'm holding on to my optimism that the Panthers will come to the tapes again next year I thought Rathbone and Swales wouldn't let the club fold without attempting to do something to try and save it. Here's hoping that it all comes to something. I'm actually looking forward to this fans' forum. Could be interesting. Whatever the date, I will try and be present as I'd like to hear what has to be said and it seems that anyone who's interested in the club staying open for 2015 are encouraged to make an appearance anyway... With regards to Panthers needing to be "at the top"...er...what top? The Elite League is certainly not what it was. Most of the "big names" have gone and probably won't come back anytime soon. Well AJ might go back to Lakeside so it appears but we all know that Woffinden has expressed that he'd like one race night a week (Monday) and I can't see that working as not every club is as fortunate as King's Lynn where they own the stadium and can do as they like with it. Generally speaking, most speedway is at a track where they share it with other events and the promotion rents it off of the stadium owner i.e stockcar/greyhound businesses and such like. In those situations, speedway just goes on whatever evening is free. I wouldn't mind a set race night, but I doubt it'd work, for the reasons I've mentioned. Anyway, will there even be an EL next season? The league structure could change and who knows where speedway's concerned. Nothing seems set in stone for the long term. Things seem to be looked at in a short term way. There doesn't seem to be any real consistency. Basically, if the Panthers stay in the PL, I'll be happy.

I actually can't disagree with any of that SL. Personally, I'd rather not have Sky's involvement, or have the play offs, but that's what we all have to deal with. I still think the sport needs the Sky money myself though. If it weren't for that, I know what I'd be telling them to do Now I did know about the SGP in Melbourne
-
No? There's not? Oh jesus Right. I'll go crawl back into the hole I've just dug for myself!

Just seen a previous reply of yours to someone else. Yes, I can see that now You were already in the play offs at that stage anyway and Wolves were well out of contention so it was only ran after the cut off point to complete the fixture. I believe clubs get fined if they don't complete all fixtures before the season's end? So yeah, as you say, that fixture didn't count, so what is Mr Ford prattling on about then? As I said before, start the league much earlier in March and have an earlier date for league completion. I know there's the SGP in New Zealand to think about, but are there going to be that many GP riders over here racing next year? I doubt it.

I'm sure it was Matt Ford who Radio Norfolk were talking to. Either way, I'm not really sure that he's telling lies as such... The last EL fixture was Coventry v Wolverhampton on September 26th. When was the original league fixture completion date? I can't say I remember. Does anyone else remember when it was? Or have we all gone past caring? The sport needs the Sky money though... We'd probably be lost without it.
-
That's what was said on BBC Radio Norfolk early this morning... I believe it was him who said it!

You've beaten me to it Noodles! I was about to post the same news story! Depending on the date, I'd like to be present to hear what has to be said

The latest from Poole now is Mr Ford says it's not his fault that they've not raced us yet. It's other clubs fault for not having completed their EL fixtures in time (before the cut off date I guess he means). Well guess what Matt. You're a member of the BSPA. How about you suggest starting the EL several weeks earlier?! Poole aren't the only club that can't control the weather and who share their stadium with other events you know! Start the league fixtures in early/mid March instead of the end of March or early April to attempt to get a head start. Try and then get the play off fixtures done and dusted in September. Just a thought! Just taken that from my Twitter as I couldn't be bothered to re-write something different for here

See this report I saw yesterday about the track covers thing...
-
Not very well according to previous attempts I doubt

Still keeping my fingers crossed for you guys I know I'm lucky to still have my club security to a certain degree at King's Lynn, but I don't know what I'll do if I just have to stick to one local track again, as the racing at Lynn itself has been overrated for the past couple of seasons in my opinion I certainly don't fancy regular visits to Ipswich instead! I've always enjoyed my visits to Peterborough in comparison. I just keep hoping that someone will purchase the club and they'll continue to race in 2015. I'll try and keep popping back in here to see what's happening. I'd actually vanished completely for a few weeks again and feel a bit out of the loop

King's Lynn V Poole Pirates Mon 29th
em1500uk replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Was amazed we even got to see 15 heats last night, so credit goes to Buster Chapman and the track staff for working their asses off to get it at least as raceable as it could be Was also amazed that we kept the scoreline so close. To only be a point behind is pretty good going I think as I certainly thought Poole were going to be at least 10 points up on us after this leg. It ain't over till it's over...yes I've changed my tune again I'm still not overly confident that we'll make the grand final, but we do still have a slim chance with only being a point behind. For those bemoaning Robert Lambert...just give it a rest Why not enjoy watching him race and just see what happens further down the line in his career? He still has some way to go and a lot to learn, but I for one am certainly going to enjoy watching him along the way -
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that speedway still continues at the EoES in 2015...but like some others, I'm not overly confident I really hope I'm proved wrong. Got to try and stay positive.

My gut feeling is Poole and Swindon for the grand final... If we'd have had our original 1-7 and all had been fully fit, I might have said otherwise. With Kenneth just coming back from another injury, Rory not really being on the ball so-to-speak and Scott Nicholls coming in as a guest for Niels, I'm not really overly confident of a home win, let alone progressing through to the grand final over two legs! I wish I could be more positive...but I just can't I hope the team prove me wrong and our season goes on for a little longer however... -
Swap?! Well I'm not so sure about that. I'm not trying to say I don't enjoy the EL...but the racing over the past two seasons at least, generally speaking, has been better at Peterborough. No matter whether it's PL or EL, I just like the track. I can produce some great racing. Yes, I am repeating myself a lot on that subject these days on here but hey ho I have been going to Peterborough fairly regularly since 2010 and that was when we were PL, but I was also going to Peterborough as a "neutral" when we were both EL, so you know, it makes no difference to me personally which league either club is in At present, I'm still wondering if the league system will stay as it is for next year, but that's another topic subject entirely!
-
A bigger flop than what is in place at present Nah, that's a bit harsh. The only flop is the race night...and the team replacements due to injuries. The PL, racing wise, I still enjoy. I suppose the club don't have much to speak of at present
-
I hope not! Would see that being an even bigger flop myself anyway...
