  1. I think the blue groove appeared because it the inside of a track is never watered once the meeting starts, this seems something peculiar to this country as you never see this on the continent where they just flood the track after every 4 races. If the track doesn't have enough moisture in it from the start of the meeting, for whatever reason, the blue groove is inevitable.
  2. Dirt or no dirt, I think the trick to a "decent" track (any track) is keeping the moisture in it, as soon as it goes dry, you're on a hiding to nothing racing wise. Back in the day you'd often see the water cart coming out after every race, just for a lap or 2, during dry periods to keep on top of the track.
  3. BV & Worky tracks are very similar, very "European". His home vs away average for Worky was 8.77 vs 4.58 Pick the bones out of that πŸ€”

  5. "charismatic 30-year-old Australian" That's quite a claim! Don't forget that Cook was named to be in the CLPC and CLRC and the Leicester team until the day before P&P.
  6. Probably waiting until MJJ clears off?
  7. Many of the Ippo mechanics were wearing uniform tops on Monday night with the Tru7 logo on the front & Premiership logo on the back... didn't see any in the Brum side of the pits, that's not to say there weren't. I assume all teams will be kitted out for the first TNT meetings.
  8. I know... I was answering your 2 questions. It's either that or we all stand around for half an hour like spare pricks at a wedding waiting for it all to be decided.
  9. Simple, it's highly unlikely that a rider competing in such a competition does not own 2 back wheels. They are issued with (pay for) 2 tyres before the meeting to fit and have ready to go in the event of qualification for the semi and/or final. If the tyre is not used it is used in their next meeting or bought back by the issuer. This should not be beyond the wit of man.
  10. The only thing we do know is that the day before Leicester's press and practice his father informed the club that he wasn't ready to ride Speedway. I think the clubs he was contracted to ride for, and their fans, deserve some kind of explanation, even if it's just a "personal reasons" statement and in Bewick's case some kind of acknowledgement of the events at Leicester... it's not too much to ask from a professional sportsman and or club.
  11. I wish I had 20p for every time I said change the rules then πŸ’°
  12. You can only tell them apart by their arse cracks πŸ‘
  13. Rubbish on the streets... rubbish on the track πŸ˜‚
  14. I notice a number of the mechanics on the Ippo side of the pits were wearing branded "Mechanic" shirts tonight at Brum.
  15. I notice some of the mechanics in the Ipswich pits are wearing team kit tonight... something I called for last year πŸ‘πŸ»
  16. What's wrong with Jan Staechmann? He doesn't seem to have aged a day since he stopped riding! Did he look old as a young man... or is he a robot? πŸ€– He's bloody 58!
  17. To be fair MJJ did look quite impressive at Leicester especially as he'd never seen the track before
  18. I can't understand it, everybody should have a 2nd tyre ready before the meeting, if it doesn't get used, just use it for the next meeting, it's not rocket science is it?
  19. Thanks, and don't leave it so long next time!
