I've just checked the regs and it's at the refs discretion as to what is foul, unfair or dangerous riding... anyway it wasn't any of them for me, not that it really matters... just seemed a bit unfair of the ref.

Those Leicester fans can be quite mischievous

I don't know, officially, what the definition of unfair riding is but I would have said that it was to deliberately impede a rider causing him to fall. In a first bend melee, traditionally it's been an all 4 back.

Wasn't stated as cause of the stoppage though, announced as unfair riding.

Is that a new rule then? Since when?

A still picture does not tell the whole story though, I'd like to see a video replay of the incident. Who was the ref anyway?

I think they'd be promoting the Artem Laguta angle rather than the crap racing angle... by the looks of the crowd most people seemed quite happy with it

Don't know, maybe, maybe not... I would have said that with the right pay scale, Championship level Speedway would have been easily sustainable at Eastbourne.

Surely it's buried down much deeper in the interview... they didn't re-negotiate the 2020 rider contracts and they were already high payers

Well, it's worded differently in the rule book no doubt, unsatisfactory start or first bend bunching, the ref has the facility to put "all four back"... it definitely was not unfair riding.

I had a good look at the Leicester track for you during last night's extended interval... there's a hill in the middle of turns 1 and 2 it goes up and then down again before going up again to the entrance to the pits... then entering turn 3 it rises again at the end of the straight before dipping in the middle of turn 3 and rising again going into turn 4... seems like whoever built the track forgot their spirit level!

A decent match, close throughout until Plymouth ran out of steam, 3 riders scoring just 1 point between them was going to catch up with them... and some good racing too. Ruml looks like a good prospect, but why you'd keep Cook and/or Keleher over Jason Edwards is beyond me unless it's down to numbers. Also Keleher was massively unlucky to be discluded for "unfair riding" in heat 1 it was clearly an all 4 back. Was good to see Dan swoop by Crump, who, let's be honest is loooong past his use by date, but a good "name" scalp nonetheless. It's a shame Crumpy didn't come round to wave at the crowd after his race victories as I'm sure a lot of the crowd would have wanted to have shown their appreciation. And to put the cherry on the icing on top of the cake Richard Lawson even graced us with his presence in heat 15... although there were reports of a large lorry load of cash seen backing up to his van in the pits.

I put my views and ideas together in a lengthy email to the Leicester "promotion" over a month ago, I never received a reply, not even a courtesy acknowledgement...
