  1. Another meeting without adequate medical cover
  2. Lambo rides in the top League in Sweden doesn't he? Be interesting to see if he moves up a league in Poland next year
  3. So is Poland L1 the same as UK PL? I can't find any details on clubs and riders etc.
  4. Do you think that is a higher level than PL? Would progression these days be NL, CL, PL, Poland L1, Poland EL? I have no idea of the strength of Polish L1 teams
  5. Yes... But Bridger did well in Poland for a while. Do you know what League Dan is riding in, in Poland?
  6. He does know his stuff and I like his reading of tweets but I don't like his style of commentary, always sounds like he's complaining to me. Better than the clown that does most of the polish stuff though, three three-er
  7. It very much remains to be seen if any of these names progress on to become more than 2nd Division level talent, with the exception of Lambert who does seem to be making great progress. Don't forget we've seen lots of names over the years fail to realise their true potential. Whether that be through lack of ambition or lack of opportunity. Well done Lambo!
  8. Now that's what I call an apology... Not coming on here and not apologising
  9. Is this your idea of an apology to fans? You seem to be patting yourself on the back more than apologising.
  10. The thing is though who decides what is relevant to the British public. I've no problem at all watching women in sport, atheletcs, tennis, cycling, swimming, gymnastics... Whatever. What I object to are the sports that are being force fed to us as part of a movement. It's quite clear that there is an agenda in certain quarters when you're getting women's version of certain sports (football & cricket especially) leading the sports headlines compared to the men's equivalent, despite playing in front of huge empty stadiums. Speedway already manages to do this without the help of the media
  11. Depends if he becomes transgender... Then almost certainly yes!
  12. It's always amazed me the ages of the competitors and the viewers in speedway is so wide... Is there any other "sport" with such a gap?
  13. It was a good job it was somebody in the stadium at all... What if it had been a disgruntled resident or cinema goer? You have to wonder what the steward's were doing while he parked up in front of the gates!
  14. You don't know that as nobody has tried. You do tend to show a bit of a defeatist attitude, as shown with your posts on the SoN thread. It's a good job everybody doesn't take the same attitude of not even trying to do things or we'd all still be living in the dark ages.
  15. How do you know this? a world championship event hasn't been tried in the US since the 80's has it? The WTC's at long beach? If you're not even prepared to try, at a less costly venue, you're never going to break into the market. It's been proved the only countries that can sustain large stadium venues are Poland, UK and Denmark. Sweden, Germany, Australia all had large stadium events that ultimately failed before moving back to more modest stadia in the Swedish and German cases. The risk should have been taken years ago in the States to cash in on Hancock's "star" appeal and capture the imagination of the next generation of US riders, it maybe too late now, a missed opportunity while the organisers were messing around in Finland, Italy, Germany and Latvia
  16. You're right, let's forget all about it and have them all in Poland
  17. Have a look on Google earth there's an American football/atheletcs stadium a couple of hundred yards up the road
  18. Anyway... Doesn't have to be Costa Mesa speedway track, they can lay a track anywhere, maybe an atheletcs track that has grandstand a or something in the Costa Mesa area, it's just that speedway at Costa Mesa has been proven to work. My point is more that I think it would be better to hold a GP at proven venues/areas in non speedway countries where you know you'll draw a core crowd in and then heavily promote it to bring in floaters. The mistake in Australia particularly was hiring out huge stadiums
