  1. Of course bonus points are different to points... you ALWAYS get the points, you don't always get the bonus points... That's why they're called bonus points, der Anyway... I'll be seeing you next Tuesday
  2. No... I'll take the bit where he/she's going off at a tangent about every sport being different and the home advantage thing as him/her wanting to change the subject because he/she couldn't read the detail of my original point... as an apology
  3. So again... In which sport other than Speedway do the away team get more league points for a draw than the home team? ... Apology accepted
  4. Not more points for drawing though, that's what's ridiculous... please try to understand, you miss the detail in your eagerness for an argument
  5. Thanks for your feedback... so you think that an away team getting more points than a home team for a team is not ridiculous?
  6. If promoted properly I think there could be quite an appetite for test matches... there was quite a decent crowd at BV earlier in the year for the U21 Team Championship and this despite zero promotion in the UK
  7. The delay between heat 20 and the semi and the final are the reasons I don't go to this anymore... any tension built up through the meeting is lost when it takes half an hour to run the final 120 seconds of racing
  8. Agreed with the bonus point... I just can't get my head around the current league point scoring system, never have been able to. Can never remember whether it's 6 or more than 6 to get or lose the extra point and an away draw getting more than a home draw is just ridiculous
  9. Or your stomach... What then? All patrons must empty their bowels before entering?
  10. it does look suspiciously dog and owner shaped doesn't it
  11. I saw this meme on Twitter, thought it quite nicely sums up British Speedway
  12. Times have changed though... we live in an instant society these days, multiple forms of entertainment at your fingertips, food and shopping delivered to your door. I don't know where you were getting your 2 hours for 13 races from, at Coventry I seem to remember being away regularly at 8:45 - 9:00 with a 7:30 start
  13. I well remember being behind a small girl, about 7 or 8, getting in at Cardiff a few years back and the stewards making her snap the pole off of her flag... because obviously she was smuggling it in for somebody to build a bomb out of once she was in there
  14. Unfortunately the world we live in today is a world where the ordinary man (and woman) is fleeced in the name of anti-terrorism
  15. I think closing the door is hard racing, fencing a rider deliberately is dirty... and I though it was Robert Lambert that was ruthless, it says so all over his clothing
  16. I liked the tractor guy at Scunthorpe on Friday evening... we didn't see him until after heat 10... and then never saw him again. There were zero track rakers and the track was fine all night
  17. It's a shame, that as quite a prolific Twitter user, his back injury didn't allow him to reach for his phone before the event to let his fans know he wouldn't be there. I expected better of Scott
  18. ... and why does it always take them an eternity to run the last 2 races?
  19. Maybe time to move it away from Sheffield it's not the first time they've had track issues for this "big" meeting
  20. Was seriously thinking of going to this... Then remembered it's a shadow of what it used to be, glad I gave it a miss by the sound of things
