Not just a major international meeting but a world final! Although there have been occasions in the past that clubs have run against world championship events, they have usually been hundreds of miles away and you could probably count them on one hand. I assume the BSPL have no involvement in the SoN so are happy to sanction the event at Leicester? If Leicester, and other clubs, hadn't fannyed about calling meetings off for no reason earlier in the season we just wouldn't be in this situation.

Makes no odds to me really, I'll be at Belle Vue watching some world class speedway, you'll be watching a load of 3rd rate crap at Leicester. Leicester, a Saturday night Track... unless the Football is on the TV, or the weather forecast looks a bit dodgy, or there's no ambulance... or it's a Tuesday

I'm not disputing that most of the racing wasn't up to much. But as an occasion on the whole it was magnificent! I've just heard a few people recently saying it wasn't all that, imo it was one of the best events (Speedway or otherwise) that I've ever been to. I hope you get to see all of the coverage on Quest as I think this is the best match, with the best racing I have ever seen... More of the same at Leicester tonight please
