  1. Yes, the slowing in heat 15, I think some tracks, the smaller ones, lend themselves better to this sort of thing than the big Peterborough track where the speeds are so much higher for longer. I can't understand why it's not being made a thing though, it's not everyday we hear a rider calling another rider dirty, not in the media anyway. You'd think the promotions would be trying to stoke some local rivalry up out of this... but nothing
  2. Surprised to not see anybody comment on Ostergaard twice saying that Pickering's riding in heat 15 was "dirty" and he was pretty p1ssed off with it on the British Speedway podcast
  3. That's a good thing then, you won't have a gap in your fixtures between the beginning of August and the beginning of October!
  4. It's a good job the scores were close until the end because as a spectacle of Speedway it was total rubbish... except for heat 15, Picko almost doing a Joe Screen wheelie at full speed!
  5. I've not been to Armadale but it seems like a good little setup, good shaped track, looks nicely prepared with a decent amount of dirt... yet we're 7 heats down and haven't seen a decent race yet, strange
  6. For me... the track needs to be "right" from heat 1... what's the use in waiting for the track "coming to the riders" in heat 12, there's only a handful of races left and riders that had a difficult night up to that point have probably lost interest by then. The track needs to be like it was in heat 12 from heat 1 and kept in a similar state to that all night
  7. Yes, I'd say there were 3 genuinely good Speedway races... question is, is that enough for your £20 these days? especially when you factor in a 20-30 minute delay for the sunshine.
  8. What's his form like abroad, do you know?
  9. And i was hoping to watch the referee(s) watching the sun
  10. What a terrible race track King's Lynn has become these days
  11. A bit early for that i would have thought... we've still got that to look forward to!
  12. Picture froz for me, start delayed until 7:40 anyway apparently
  13. yes... where do all those extra people come from that have been missing all season?
  14. Personally I see things the other way around... At the current rate I can see Speedway becoming more like a Grasstrack setup in the future with individual meetings being held up and down the country. Like stock cars
  15. It surprises me these days that people say they don't like individual meetings as much as team meetings, team meetings made up of individuals that ride for a host of other teams not only abroad but also in this country... each to their own though
  16. I thought previously the Pay Off places had been placed in the calendar, it's quite conceivable if we get a wet spell that the Lions won't be riding from the 6th of August until early October by the time the other teams sort their fixtures out and of course if we finish in the top 2... not ideal
  17. Have to say it was great to see a Speedway meeting can be run in under 1 hour 45 minutes with a 10 minute parade, a 10 minute interval and both teams running R/R. A lesson many other promotions could learn from
