  1. Could just be crap at preparing tracks? Are there rumours of financial trouble?
  2. It's only mildly related to TV coverage but this gif needs to be seen by everybody, turn the sound on...
  3. It's difficult to say after 2 rounds but just going on pure percentages, Woffinden, Zagar & Fricke with Vaculik being a big loser 1 2 Total Pts +/- % Freddie Lindgren 10 11 21 30 9 43% Tai Woffinden 12 15 27 32 5 19% Maciej Janowski 17 19 36 38 2 6% Bartosz Zmarzlik 11 14 25 27 2 8% Matej Zagar 6 4 10 12 2 20% Gleb Chugunov 6 8 14 16 2 14% Max Fricke 2 8 10 12 2 20% Patryk Dudek 5 7 12 13 1 8% Jason Doyle 5 3 8 8 0 0% Niels-Kristian Iversen 3 11 14 14 0 0% Antonio Lindback 1 1 2 2 0 0% Artem Laguta 20 13 33 32 -1 -3% Mikkel Michelsen 5 7 12 11 -1 -8% Leon Madsen 13 7 20 18 -2 -10% Emil Sayfutdinov 11 6 17 15 -2 -12% Martin Vaculik 11 4 15 12 -3 -20%
  4. Are there any other sports that abandon any points scored throughout an event and then allocate a different set of points based on the abandoned points?
  5. I think my general point is, if you have to sit a new fan down with a dictionary, there's something drastically wrong
  6. Only in Speedway could you score 10 points and come away with 16 points one night and then the next night score 11 points but come away with 14 points... try and get your head round that if you're a non speedway fan Then if you were to attend a league meeting and the teams draw, one team comes away with 1 league point and the other team goes away with 2 league points... for a draw!!
  7. I'd reserve judgement until after Gorzow, Woffy & Magic have done very well on a track they've been riding all season long, Zmarlik to dominate in Gorzow... then it's an open run-in
  8. I thought that... then I thought of the logistics needed to deconstruct the setup at one venue, transport it and set it up at the next venue, easy for the fans, not so much for the organisers
  9. Winners & Losers... so far 1 2 Total Pts +/- Freddie Lindgren 10 11 21 30 9 Tai Woffinden 12 15 27 32 5 Maciej Janowski 17 19 36 38 2 Bartosz Zmarzlik 11 14 25 27 2 Matej Zagar 6 4 10 12 2 Gleb Chugunov 6 8 14 16 2 Max Fricke 2 8 10 12 2 Patryk Dudek 5 7 12 13 1 Jason Doyle 5 3 8 8 0 Niels-Kristian Iversen 3 11 14 14 0 Antonio Lindback 1 1 2 2 0 Artem Laguta 20 13 33 32 -1 Mikkel Michelsen 5 7 12 11 -1 Leon Madsen 13 7 20 18 -2 Emil Sayfutdinov 11 6 17 15 -2 Martin Vaculik 11 4 15 12 -3
  10. Makes sense for attending fans, not so sure for the non-attending fans and riders though, 3 of the 4 finalists at Wroclaw were the same on both nights or a quarter full
  11. well, just being a bit playful really... but if you don't want to play, then yes just pointless Cheer up iris123
  12. What wasn't a guaranteed climax about last year's GP's, whoever won the final won the GP, simples
  13. I mentioned earlier that they're noticeable by their absence... I'm not sure I'm comfortable with them being there, especially during the Polish coverage where upskirting still seems to be acceptable, but the track does look a bit empty as we've become used to them over the years
  14. Me too as I had Vaculik as an e/w bet... but it's early days yet and with these double headers on the same track, as expected the Wroclaw riders dominated over the last 2 nights, you can expect Zmarlik to dominate at Gorzow as he's pretty much unbeatable round there. Laguta is the outlier, I'm not saying he will blow up, but history shows he's as capable of having 5 duff rides as he is 5 great rides and I'm not convinced he has what it takes to keep this form up, especially if his engine goes pop
