  1. Don't forget it's only Nigel Pearson saying this... Do we know that this is still actually the case now transponders have been brought in?
  2. A national championship always used to trump a league meeting, no matter what country it was in... wouldn't surprise me if some kind of Rathbone/Holder/Torun arrangement was made between BSPL/Bewley/Wroclaw
  3. Thanks. I thought Dudek was wearing some kind of Darth Dudek voice box to communicate with the pits lol
  4. Whoever directs the Polish TV coverage seems to be infatuated with him. I must say the TV coverage has been particularly poor this year, passes often being missed, reverse angles at the start, aerial shots during a race, lingering shots of the flag man and the fat bald guy with the glasses getting more screen time than the riders! Nothing against him... In actual fact he could be my twin
  5. No, he can do exactly as he pleases... Don't know why I have to see him every time Zmarzlik or Lambert wins a race though do you?
  6. My EPG says there's nothing on between 18:40 and 21:15 on PS1... Like I've said before, amateurs
  7. At least it'll be caught live on TV when Bartek crosses the line to become champion again and the camera inevitably cuts to him
  8. ... Also, what is it with the bald fat guy with the glasses and his out of his league punching above his weight trophy wife? Why is Polish TV fixated on him? He's all over the league coverage as well!
  9. I wasn't totally convinced by Zmarlik... until last night, he's a different class at the moment, the move he pulled on Woffy in the final, for me, is up there with the memorable moments of the GP's Tricks "wall of death" at Cardiff and Gollobs las bend swoop on Jimmy Nilsen at Bigdosh. He's head an shoulders above anybody else in this years series 17 race points clear of the next best (Woffy) On another point... did anybody notice Pat Dudeks helmet last night? WTF was going on with the front of it? 2:04:21
  10. Tricky one this, to ditch the national championship and GB Speedway, who have probably invested a lot in him for a team who have been less than loyal to him and bin him off after 1 ride seems a very strange decision. As far as I know a national championship trumps a league meeting no matter what country it's in. Listening to Dan on the Talk Speedway podcast he described the British Championship as "just another meeting" which probably tells you all you need to know on this one... I expected better from him

  12. No, can't blame them at all... I just think it shows what some rider's attitudes are to the national championship, like I say, not surprised by Cook am surprised by Nicholls, was a great opportunity for him to add an 8th title, especially around Ippo
  13. Reminds me a bit of Jan O, he could usually find grip and speed where no one else could Either the Russian mafia has got to him or his bikes are running on novichok May as hold a GP in Blackpool then If I were BSI I'd pull him from tonight's GP, didn't even finish a few of his races. I thought the wildcard was used to pull in a crowd... as crowd's aren't allowed they may as well grant it to somebody who's interested in finishing races. Seems injury prone They're always wrong! You either need to be sitting down with a laptop and dictionary or have racers & royals by your side to understand at any speed what's going on. I predict a real shambles in the last GP when the winner is to be decided if one rider makes the final and another hasn't as people are trying to calculate who the new world champion is!!! to be fair it's always been the case... the only positive I can see with the new system is that Zmarzlik is only 1 point clear of Lindgren, where under the old system he would now be 14 points clear of Woffy
  14. I think the Monday meeting was live, those numbers do seem very low! Do you know how that compares to the footy they show?
  15. Not for me... I would assume that those that aren't riding have been offered the opportunity to ride and have declined. The quality of the line-up has been on the decline for years but as you said yourself you can only race what's in front of you. I can understand the reasoning of those that are riding abroad not to return to the UK for 1 meeting, but Tai wasn't going to ride in it anyway. The one's that do surprise me are Wright & Nicholls... not surprised at all by Cook's non appearance

  17. I agree, to a certain extent, maybe choosing Doyley was a bad example being a former world champ. I remember going to watch a WRC event at Cardiff a few years back and although I didn't really know who most of the drivers were it was clear to see who the WRC drivers were compared to club drivers, the difference was night and day
  18. A few questions need to be answered on this... suppose it'll be a FIA/Ferrari cover-up job though
