Nicki Pedersen is/was the rider that immediately springs to mind for me. He's only really interested in coming first and the amount of times you just see him giving up when he's at the back is an insult to fans.
I think they're more suited to the open spaces of grass tracks aren't they. Used to watch them in the 2nd halfs at Cov back in the day and it was all too predictable I'm afraid afraid. If the "outfits" did make it to the start they'd often fail during the race and the only passing you ever really saw were if the Pinfold's didn't make the start.
They put a few full meetings on around the country i seem to remember but i was never tempted to attend.
They're prepared to not run a world cup final to keep on schedule and we're still messing about trying to run a crappy Jubilee Trophy, 2 extremes there!
It's the T20 Cricket World Cup Final at the MCG on Sunday, if it's rained off, they're holding it on the Monday... if that's rained off the trophy is shared and everybody moves on... what a great idea!
They didn't like what was happening with the JT and they pulled out without penalty... perhaps Leicester should have done the same instead of running a meeting that was always going to be financial and sporting suicide at KL?
Of course it wasn't "our" home leg... no where in that press release does it say it's our home leg, in fact it even states "we realise we are having to sacrifice home track advantage"
No, I don't blame Poole at all, they should enjoy their win, however hollow, there's not much to be cheery about these days after all. I think if it were challenged in a court of law though it would be deemed to be illegal
Judged by Poole fans no doubt. King's Lynn is not Leicester's home track though, Leicester ride at Beaumont Park, that is their home. I don't think you'll find many people from outside Poole that think Leicester's home is in King's Lynn
I think you know, in your heart of hearts. Leicester never had a home leg, rules clearly state that the winner is the team with the most points after the "home" and "away" legs". It would never stand up in court
