IainB replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Heat 9 and can't see anything for dust now... and that's after the centre green presenter has just been out to water the track... he should stick to centre green presenting, he ain't bad at that to be fair -

Your promoter is a Grade A Class 1 joke! How many paramedics need to be in attendance to run a meeting? -

After chancing last week, he's decided to chance it again with 1 paramedic! The guy's a joke! Sun's out, healthy crowd in and we're watching tractor racing to the sounds of the 80's. Might have a go on the hook a duck... see if i can win my BFH. -

No paramedic on site FFS! This guy should have his promoters licence taken from him... absolute disgrace to the sport -
Yes, all fair points, when i say the track is not conducive to junior racing I am referring to the lesser (junior) riders of a CL team that i see trying to get around Leicester. Nobody stands out, I think it's fair to say even the highly rated Anders Rowe has failed to get to grips with the track and even the likes of Drew Kemp & Jordan Palin have failed to ever show anything. Anyway, you may just have sold it to me you rascal, I'll see what the teams are like after Saturday and what the weather is like on Sunday and may just pop along to see what all the fuss is about

So it is possible and the demand seems to be from the promotion due to the handling costs of cash. I assume the connection was wireless, if that's a bit ropey then try a wired solution, according to the Ofcom website there is good coverage for mobile data in the area of the stadium https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/mobile-coverage#pc=TD152EF&uprn=10024651855 As far as I recall the problem with the U21 was down to a power failure at the stadium and the BSN match was their first stream, so a few teething problems were only to be expected. I'm not sure why they'd be any other demands on a secure internet connection, you probably will though. Anyway the required bandwidth for a card transaction would be a tiny fraction of that required for a streaming service. I've told you, I have no agenda, be interested to know what you think my agenda is... in the mean time keep wearing the tin foil hat!

The trouble is, it takes that long to complete meetings at Leicester they can't do double headers in under the 3 and a half hours required to get to and from the supermarket car park without the risk of acquiring a fine, chances are (and they are high chances) I'd have leave before the end of the NDL match and I ain't paying for something I'm not going to see the end of. You'll probably come back and say park on the industrial estate... No

I don't think I have claimed to know what the NDL meetings have been like at Leicester this season... maybe it would have been the ideal opportunity for the promotion to showcase what NDL racing is all about by pegging admission prices? I have not been to a Cubs meeting, I was going to sample what it was all about a few years back when the club ran a double header with Cradley as the opposition in the NDL, my thinking was that if I watched the best 2 NDL clubs in the league at the time face each other I'd be giving myself the best chance of seeing the best of what the NDL had to offer... Unfortunately the management were more preoccupied in the getting the tractor on the track rather than the bikes and it was ultimately rained off... it was the evening the club blocked me from Twitter because I was warning them there was a thunderstorm heading the way of the stadium. Unfortunately that opportunity for the club to showcase NDL racing to me was lost... and from what I've seen of the ability of "Junior" riders to get around the Leicester track, it's really not saying to me it'd be a must watch product... just my opinion, I'm glad you enjoy it though.

Forecast now looking great for this... should keep the dust down

Not so much Dad's Army, more Some Mother's Do Have 'Em this season... Nicholls, Andersen & Ostergaard sooooo slow, mobile road blocks being passed for fun when they do make the gate ahead of an opponent

Don't get it from the BSPL website... everybody will be on you -
I knew it'd be a pile on from the usual suspects, even those that have suggested that I not comment on clubs i don't follow, he's strangely found himself on a Berwick thread... I'm disappointed that my stalker hasn't found his way in here yet. If it makes you all happy, yes i thought the column on the BSPL statistics page marked GSA was the Green Sheet Average... when of course it wasn't. Lock me up!
