  1. maybe if they made the meetings more attractive to attend in the first place they wouldn't have this problem
  2. There's a bit of rain about by the looks of the radar, with drizzle forecast for this evening it could be a repeat of the Cat Fight. P'boro v Sheffield 28 June thread... I hope so, that was fun
  3. On the whole i thought that was a pretty decent production for a first show last night, I've just watched it as I was at Leicester myself. Whoever was on camera duty on turn 4 was a bit shaky, but otherwise i couldn't really fault it, was a lot better than i was expecting. Graphics and captions were good, commentator didn't seem to know who was in a few races and there were no replays... but there wasn't really anything worth replaying tbh. All in all, if that's going to be the production standard for the rest of the season it's well worth the price of a early bird season pass. Did anybody else think the picture of James Shanes looked like wee Jimmy Crankie?
  4. Well, they're going to need a lot more there than there was last night... i thought the crowd was a little disappointing
  5. Our and your reserve were both in heat 15 lol There was some cracking racing tonight, some of the best I've seen at Leicester, great stuff!
  6. If you've got an Android TV, I can recommend TV Bro as a pretty good browser to use. It's a bit like Puffin but with no time viewing limitations. It was available to install from the Play Store on my nVidia TV Shield. There's a full guide here:
  7. LEICESTER: Nick Morris, Connor Mountain, Kyle Howarth, Dan Thompson, Richie Worrall, Anders Rowe, Joe Thompson. SCUNTHORPE: Ryan Douglas, Simon Lambert, Jordan Palin, Tero Aarnio, Jake Allen, Ryan Kinsley, Zaine Kennedy. I'm surprised this hasn't been called off already, it's forecast to be wet tomorrow, it's forecast to be cold tomorrow evening and there's Football on the telly... all reasons used to cancel in the past.
  8. I wonder if Ellis is going to turn up to any of his meetings this year?
  9. It's funny how "it just happens" to the same riders all the time though isn't it... Dave Jessup and Richard Hellsen are 2 others that spring to mind, so unlucky
  10. Just like at Leicester on Saturday night... and Brummies next home match come to think of it
  11. It's good to see that the discussion of the Leicester track has only taken until the first match of the season to appear again
  12. I though Wolves always (recently) started off with a "charity" match?
  13. Did it mention if the bike had brakes or not? Because if it didn't mention that... it definitely has got brakes
  14. Wasn't helped by the extended tractor racing each time either... you'd think with the price of diesel these days we wouldn't have seen so much of it
  15. A good afternoon's entertainment, racing wasn't great early on but certainly a packed programme. When these meetings have "veteran" races, I've never heard of any of the "veteran" riders. Were they actual former riders or are they enthusiasts who've bought and restored old bikes. Fair play to the big lad who looped it at the start today, went down like a sack of spuds, went hob-wobbling back to the pits and came out for the rerun to finish 2nd!
  16. I probably would have gone to the 2nd leg... so both Leicester and Birmingham have missed my money because of last night.
  17. It's almost as if they couldn't give a toss about the promotion and fans they are visiting
  18. Even if Ellis had only scored 10, at least the tie would still be alive. So not only have the Leicester fans been mugged off tonight, the Brummie fans will be expected to turn up to watch a dead rubber at the 2nd leg and they wonder why nobody goes to Birmingham... No winners
  19. I wonder how many more matches Ellis will be missing for Brummies?
