I can't be doing with all the messing about online to find a stable stream... and if and when you do, there's a couple of Polish blokes jibbering away in the background. I'll put this one down to experience and not bother again in the future I think (hope) when Speedway in this country is back to "normal"

A sad loss to Speedway, I always found him well worth listening to when he came on the mic whenever Eastbourne or Arena were in town and he always told it as he saw it even if he didn't always get it right (mano a mano). Always had the best interests of his clubs at heart and probably a shame he never took the top job

That's not exactly true though is it.... remember Chris Harris following the leader Greg Hancock in the final in 2007 for 3 laps and 3 bends... BORING! -
... and a ticket to get in. I hope your lodgings are booked on refundable deals. I hope it comes off for you but aren't you concerned about ticket availability and capacity limits?

With the start of the season now a little over a month away have any clubs released plans surrounding that actual attendance of a meeting? I assume I won't be turning up to the turnstiles at 19:25, handing over my cash and heading off directly to where I always stand? I've just read on the Leicester website that Stewart Dickson is "happy with the reduced capacity we are being advised on", well I'm happy for him, what I don't know is what this means for me and other fans. Are matches going to be all ticket affairs, should I travel to an away match on the off chance of being let in. If it is all ticket how do I get a ticket, what if I don't have the internet (obviously as I've posted this I do but some won't). Is each club devising their own systems or are the governing body issuing guidelines? Anybody have any ideas?

I posted this a few days ago in the Speedway on the TV thread... don't know whether to go for it or not though? Have you got it? Do they show Live sport on there or re-runs of sport that they've already shown on their TV channels? If the live matches get shifted onto the Player due to the Tennis or Olympics I'd got for it, if it were just a repeats format then probably not.

This offer is back on... https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/eurosport-player-back-at-ps1999-for-a-year-3680261 I dunno if it's worth a punt? I wonder if Eurosport will live broadcast Speedway on the Player during events like the Tennis and Olympics etc. Expires 21/03/21 -

We, in Leicester, have been under restrictions since March of last year and even when the rest of the country "re-opened" we didn't, with reports of higher levels of vaccine hesitancy in the city I think we'll be one of the last city's to have restrictions lifted. I hope that is by the 1st of May but judging by what's happened over the last year I can't see it.

Agreed, I think it'd be more prudent for clubs to run their own regional competitions and open meetings this season, much like what happens in Australia and the USA. They don't have TV contracts to fulfil though.
