  1. For me this season Bewley looks like a man on a bike where in the past he's looked like a boy on a bike. Whether that's natural growth, the result of a training programme or my imagination I don't know.
  2. Was anybody else experiencing the same issues as me with the PS coverage?
  3. But you're not getting the choice of which match/standard of rider you want to watch... which is the point. The only choice is take it or leave it and on this occasion I will leave it. I hope you enjoy it though
  4. Something to do with bike covers being in the club livery... Then for almost every other rider to not adhere to those terms
  5. Was just watching what was going on in the pits after last nights match while I was waiting for the traffic to clear (crowd was surely more than 1,000!!) and there were a lot of "known" faces have a long look at and discussion about one of the rear tyres. I wonder if it'll become a story?
  6. Never say never but Buster has binned Cookie before he even raced for Peterborough a year or so ago and after 1 match for KL
  7. Will you be streaming it live for the rest of us to watch so we don't have to pay to watch it?
  8. It's great to be back at the tracks, I've been to 3 now with very different procedures: Scunny: QR contact tracing code seemingly optional, was attached to the fence at the entrance, I was the only one I saw checking in with the app Belle Vue: Contact details compulsory, either using the QR code and the app or contact details taken down using pen and paper Peterborough: No QR code to be seen anywhere, no contact details taken... and the crowd "seemingly" more than 1000
  9. I'll wait until I hear the other side of the story
  10. The last time I went to a similar double header was a couple of years ago when they were riding CH in the 2nd meeting and it got cancelled because they were faffing around so much that the rain cloud that was heading to the stadium all afternoon finally deposited its contents on the track, that was the match that got me blocked from their Twitter account lol. From memory it was only £3 or £4 extra and as I'd never seen NDL racing before and it was CH I thought it was good value as a taster. After that debacle I shall not be attending another double header, totally happy to pay £17 to watch the seniors, junior racing is just not my thing. I understand that for many who attend the cubs meetings this will be an attractive meeting. For me it's just too much of a marathon, no doubt the track will be dry and dusty after a few races and I can see this dragging on and on. I also notice that the away fixtures at Berwick, Newcastle & Eastie are also double headers and I shall also be giving these a miss if the price is in the same region. If the club can't afford to run the cubs as a stand alone outfit should they be doing so. Perhaps I'm wrong and they'll get a bumper crowd, I hope they do and as punters we'll all make our own individual choices.
  11. Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh yes, I must admit if they've not ridden in this country I do get a bit mixed up on who's who especially when they're all in the same race suits with unpronounceable names. I've just double checked... I thought Orgacki was replacing KK, so my mistake.
  12. You've got to wonder what the value of replacing KK with a complete no hoper is. Unless you're replacing him with the next best rider not racing in Poland then you may as well roll the dice with him, he may just win you the match if he reels off a 15 point max... If you include him in your team at the start of the season you know what you're getting.
  13. Yeah, I've been in contact with the club about this. The Berwick match is a double header with the juniors and they're not selling separate tickets, so I'll give that one a miss at £26! as I have no interest in the NDL team. I think they're having a few teething troubles with the booking system as the Scunny match on the 12th is actually a KOC match and they're showing it as a league match with nothing showing in the KOC ticket section... you're unable to actually buy them anyway so I'm not actually sure what the purchasing policy is
  14. After watching the so called coverage of Friday's matches, I'd say a categoric NO! It's no exaggeration to say that almost every broadcast this season has had some sort of fault with the coverage. The quality of the picture has quite often been abysmal with pixelated images, jerky movement, garbled, choppy stuttering sound, race highlight music playing during races and on Friday there being a 10 second delay between the sound and commentary and the pictures being shown. Quite frankly from a subscription TV service I expect and demand better than this! At least when Eurosport was cr@p it was free
  15. Don't worry about the flight bans and the Indian variant... I'm coming up from Leicester to watch this one
  16. Anybody know what's happening with the Leicester ticket booking website? I can only Buy Tickets for the Berwick match on the 6th of June and they want £26!!! On all of the others I click the Buy Tickets button and there are no tickets to buy... have they sold out already?
  17. That's because (I'm pretty sure) it was in the original press release and I've seen nothing else that officially says anything to the contrary. I, along with others must have missed this, was there a press release or is it, like much stuff on here, rumour that has now become known fact. I'm not being funny, I'm genuinely asking
  18. My general point still stands... You don't know what's going to happen in the future so it's wise not to burn your bridges
  19. I thought he bought Ippo as well and kind of leased it back to the Louis's?
  20. I don't like to be critical (I love it) but I've got to comment on the atmosphere at the track last night and it was dead, I know the home team were taking a pumping but when all you can hear is a rusty swing from the other side of the stadium you have to ask yourself, if this is the best the head of British Speedway can do, there's not much hope. Sonically it sounded like a deserted gas station in the middle of the American desert lol From memory, there was only Kyle Howarth who came round to acknowledge the crowd, no interviews with riders, music constantly chopping and changing, results of a race not being given until after the next race when there was a close finish. I know times are tough and I'm sure there are reasons (for the music) but surely you've got to get the basics right that don't cost anything.
  21. First inductee Colin Pratt I assume it's Colin in the picture? He doesn't look well, but then he was never a great one for smiling. Not sure who decides these things but a worthy first inductee. Is there going to be one a month or one a week does anybody know... there must be so many names in the pot
  22. Most impressed with the reserves, first time I've seen them race properly watched them since their first laps as Coventry mascots... I only wish I could distinguish who was who, I'm sure that will come in time lol
  23. It doesn't pay to bad mouth clubs when you leave, like you shouldn't bad mouth a company when you leave them, you never know if you'll go back again. Especially in a league of only 6 teams and 3 of them being owned by 1 person. I've not read that it was by mutual agreement anywhere, the KL press release just said he'd been "released"
