  1. I read somewhere they only had 3 turnstiles/pay points open for the Knockout Cup final and that's what caused the delay.
  2. Yes, I'm one of those that have proposed it. That then does at least then make it more of a "team" effort.
  3. I think it's just a payday for most of the riders, sadly
  4. I stopped attending KL after the fiasco a few years back against Leicester when they only had 1 ambulance at the track and the meeting was held up for over an hour before being abandoned... I then gave them a reprieve when they ran into difficulties after the Brady/Laguta issues to show some support and solidarity and started going again, only to be rewarded by going over from Leicester 3 times last season and not seeing a single meeting raced... needless to say they are back on my banned list again.
  5. It's not something I can get too excited about either way tbh... on the one hand I do enjoy an extra heat with pretty high stakes, a whole league point... but on the other hand it seems a pretty easy way to get a league point with the one race that normally would take 15 to achieve and is obviously stacked in favour of the team that has 2 big guns. On balance, it's probably not something the sport "needed"
  6. After the last few disastrous seasons I think you've had a pretty solid season, with a good cup run and a final, certainly something to build on, who knew somebody like Ben Cook would let you down so badly.
  7. I wonder if @Bagpuss opened his curtains to watch this one 😉😁 At least the weather would have kept the dust down for @tellboy 😉😁
  8. Because Nicholls got biffed in the nose by the mic a couple of weeks ago when Pickering & Janowski were shaking hands. Last time out Nicholls wore a helmet to do the toss, they're just wringing every last ounce out of the joke now.
  9. Wet, heavy track, is going to take some skill and throttle control to ride tonight... oh look you're 8 down after 2 😂😂
  10. If you lose you can always appeal that there was no coin toss at the beginning of the meeting 😁
  11. Parade is now 8pm not 7:30pm and tapes up is now 8:15pm rather than 7:45pm. This is due to extra track work and the sun setting.
  12. ... well when one of your own riders can't be bothered 🤷‍♂️
  13. It shouldn't be up to Plymouth to determine whether he's breaking the rules, that's the SCB's job surely, their inconsistency in the application of the rules is staggering at times. Because Garry May said they hadn't, something to do with the facility they'd get.
  14. The commentators didn't mention that Kevin Malkiewicz was born in the UK once... bloody amateurs!
  15. That annoys me, though I understand why they do it for immediate track condition knowledge for the rider
  16. I don't know, I was trying to look back to see if it was but couldn't find any date... I didn't look too hard though
  17. I don't believe they've said what level they proposing to come back at have they? But 500 certainly seems like an NDL level number
  18. There is nothing to stop the opposing team using their second highest averaged rider at number 2 to counteract this, so nothing wrong with it imo
  19. Just caught up with this and what a great advert for grass roots British Speedway! 13 committed lads, great racing, a close scoreline for the aggregate bonus point, incident and controversy. The Plymouth track has taken some stick in the past but it was spot on tonight. Absolutely put the tripe served up in Latvia in the GP to shame in comparison. The commentator mentioned it, the word of the night was commitment and without wishing to labour the point, tonight's match showed that Plymouth and British Speedway does not need the likes of Nicolai Klindt. It's just a shame that the rules and the spineless SCB are letting this situation continue with Klindt treating Plymouth like a piece of dirt and a last resort pay day.
