Or the next Jesper B Jensen (Monberg)... or the many others who were heading in the wrong direction until they had something to focus on.

You'd think that a Further Education college may be a good bet, especially those running mechanical courses, also the age of those attending the college are more the age of most of the participants in Speedway, the only problem would come is if they then thought of attending Speedway there is no pricing policy to encourage them. There's a yoof riding round my area (and probably around everybody who reads this's area), on an electric bike, more often than not only on his back wheel down the middle of the road, always wearing a balaclava... he looks like he has potential, pulls better wheelies than most Speedway riders and obviously has no fear for his own safety, just the type of person that should be steered towards a sport like Speedway and away from whatever he's currently doing with his day (and the mind boggles at that)

Are any clubs offering a "young adult" ticket? I heard on the radio the other night that Nottingham Forest FC are reintroducing their young adult ticket, other football clubs seem to do similar scheme offering 25% discount for 18-24 year olds π€

It may very well be on YouTube as are hundreds of millions of other videos... and you have to seek it out unless your algorithm waves it under your eyes... What is probably more needed is a paid ad campaign such as the one that British Horse Racing is currently running, that forces it in front of your eyes while you're watching other content.

What the bloody hell was Mr Morris blathering on about then? π€·ββοΈπ

From the press release: "Premiership CEO Phil Morris said: βThe people in charge of Northampton will make their own announcements in the near future but I know they have been talking to riders""

Most of the stuff that @ouchmentioned is so last decade or even last century... I watch quite a bit on YouTube (I believe it's quite popular) and recently British Horse Racing have been running a promotional campaign and I keep seeing it quite regularly, not each individual race track but British Horse Racing as a whole, it shows lots of young people having fun with not a tartan blanket or camping chair in sight π I'm never going to races (again) as its just not something that interests me, especially as a sport, as a social event maybe. But I'm certainly very much aware of it and their promotional campaign, especially during this Cheltenham week.

There's a nice picture of the entrance... what more do you want π€·ββοΈπ

Can we all be on our best behaviour please we don't want to scare off our new friends from Northampton ππ

Everybody?

I don't know, I've seen a lot of speedway at a lot of tracks and long before air fences, I remember seeing the fence at Wolverhampton being demolished one night when almost the whole bend came down, although I think their fence was meant to be collapsible. Anyway I'm sure you guys know what you're doing as far as fence repairs are concerned, you've always done an excellent job in the past ππ» In the mean time I've sent some money over to the appeal, hopefully some will be spent on beefing up security at the stadium, maybe a perimeter of barbed/razor wire?

Cobblers it is then π

Don't forget your camping chair π
-
You don't get a seat for Β£25, that's south stand, pauper seats are Β£27!
-
A bit of relief for the Nobby's π²
-
Β£30 is a premium ticket though, not sure what makes it premium... maybe you get a serving of Betty's Hotpot with each ticket π€·ββοΈπ

Already taken by their American Football team... Go Nitros! π

I remember the cat park incident, can't remember the other incidents... that's not to say they didn't happen.
-
What the Β£30 or the posh northerners? Yes, a premium adult grandstand ticket for a league match says Β£30 on their website.

This May
-
Up to Β£30 at Belle Vue for those posh rich northerners π
-
I thought they did doubling up in Sweden also, I'm pretty sure they used to at least?
-
Reading the Leicester website, it read as if all adult PL admission would be Β£25 this year... "Racenight admission prices have been set in line with the other Premiership clubs and will be as follows: Adults Β£25, Concessions Β£23, Children (12-16) Β£5, Children (5-11) Β£1, Under-5s Free." Which is up 2 quid for us... and no Max Fricke!

Getting to Northampton International Raceway (Brafield) via public transport is challenging due to its rural location between Brafield-on-the-Green and Horton. The closest town is Northampton, which has extensive bus links, but no direct public transport serves the track directly, making a taxi from Northampton (approx. 6 miles) necessary.
