I could clearly smell burning rubber last night at Peterborough and then in the very next race Fricke limped over the line with a puncture. It looked like Nicholls may also have suffered one earlier in the evening the way he left his bike at the pit gate. It seems when the conditions are right (wrong!) at Peterborough they seem to have more problems than most, this must be rectified before next season

Reading the statement this morning, call me a cynic, but what exactly does "use of the grandstand and track" mean? As that term is used specifically a number of times, the devil is in the detail and I'm wondering what this is actually going to mean?

That was your personal decision... as was mine to continue working the next day after my dad passed away, to focus my mind. The issue when a public figure dies, world figure and head of state is, as proved on here, different people have different opinions. Maybe the BSPL were a bit previous announcing the postponement of all weekend matches, especially when a few hours later the "official" line was that sports governing bodies should make their own decisions. At the end of the day with 7 weeks of the Speedway season left, hopefully, it shouldn't really make too much of a difference.

I don't get what people's problem is with capacity at the NSS? What is the capacity at Vojens? Prague? Malilla? Torun? Gorzow? Wroclaw? Yes the NSS ain't Cardiff but neither are any of the others I have listed. I would say the NSS (with it's temporary stand) compares perfectly with those others
