  1. Let's not also forget that it was only a few years ago that it was Emil boycotting the SGP!
  2. Piers Morgan isn't shelling nuclear power stations though. I'm not disagreeing with you... it's a complete no win situation for everybody
  3. Emil "follows" the President of Russia on twitter... hardly a denouncement
  4. Yep, the whole world has just become a much more dangerous place... especially for Russian's. There's going to be a generation or more of Ukrainians that will have anyone or anything Russian in their sights. Such madness smh
  5. And if they denounce the war it'll probably be just as dangerous, especially if they travel to Cardiff via Salisbury! I can see both sides, they both seem like decent blokes (Emil) especially, it's a no win situation really without changing nationality but would you do that to ride Speedway and earn a good living if it meant possibly not seeing your family again.
  6. Probably true, but a bit harsh, on that thinking you could say why even run the match. But it's sport and anything could happen, that's why we watch it.
  7. Shame it's on a Monday evening, I'll still try an get up though, generally worth it at the NSS
  8. I always find listening to commentary of Tennis on the radio completely pointless... although silence on the radio doesn't work well either
  9. It was Colin Martin... I always like his style, for video at least, was never polished enough for TV imo
  10. I actually did ask them about this and whether they'd be available during the winter with a "season" pass... the reply was "The season pass will run until 31st October". Which of course means that you may miss the Play Off Finals
  11. Scott Nicholls also did a few, only available on YouTube though i think, is that the speedway chat show? Not sure. Speedway Social's Super Seven is another
  12. Greg Hancock does/did one. I've listened to a couple with Erik Gundersen and Per Jonsson and they were pretty good. Reel45
  13. they did like a greasy burger and chips from the burger van back in the day
  14. I think it's usually on YouTube if you give it a search https://youtu.be/v4e3aD8WZC4
  15. It seems a strange one that The Queen can honour Mort but nobody in Speedway or at Belle Vue can... And I bet The Queen has never been to the NSS!
  16. I've just listened to part 2 of his interview on the 5-1 speedway show where he goes into detail about the NSS, which is why I posted this. Without Mort & Gordon there would be no NSS.
  17. Why do they always feel the need to back speedway with generic rock music in these reports? So 1980's
  18. Probably my favourite place to watch Speedway from... But it's rather unimaginatively named. I know there's a Peter Craven Suite in the main stand but is there anything to commemorate the 2 men responsible for actually making the NSS happen? How about a Chris Morton Stand and Dave Gordon Pit Building? Mort is a legend of the club and doesn't seem to have any recognition. It seems strange that Peter Craven gets all of the accolades yet Mort and the other PC get nowt (that I know of)
  19. Alex Harkess was the one for me, he was the one sat in charge during the Sky years and ran the sport into the ground
