Ed Kennett to return to Eastie as No 1 (R/R)?

Period of mourning. No sport activities.

By the BSPL choosing though it meant that they didn't have to run with people making their own minds up to stay away... a bit like they do with calling matches off due to weather -

That was your personal decision... as was mine to continue working the next day after my dad passed away, to focus my mind. The issue when a public figure dies, world figure and head of state is, as proved on here, different people have different opinions. Maybe the BSPL were a bit previous announcing the postponement of all weekend matches, especially when a few hours later the "official" line was that sports governing bodies should make their own decisions. At the end of the day with 7 weeks of the Speedway season left, hopefully, it shouldn't really make too much of a difference. -
Edinburgh - new home required….

How about a move to Northside? Though didn't work well for Glasgow in the 80's! -
Duke of York cup anyone?

I don't get what people's problem is with capacity at the NSS? What is the capacity at Vojens? Prague? Malilla? Torun? Gorzow? Wroclaw? Yes the NSS ain't Cardiff but neither are any of the others I have listed. I would say the NSS (with it's temporary stand) compares perfectly with those others

I used to go to those, the New Year Classics... was cold, but never as cold as I used to be at Swindon! I think Sheffield tried to put a meeting on also but was weathered off -
They like fun... as long as we pay for them to have it with OUR taxes. They just think we're plebs

I was actually joking... It's what the government want you to do. I should have perhaps used an emoji

Shut up, go to work and pay your taxes!

As far as I remember Ward was banned for a full year from August to August (ish)

Gutted at hearing this news, I was under the impression this was signed and sealed the way they were talking earlier in the year... seems about as watertight as Birmingham's "verbal" agreement they have with their landlords for next year! -
That's good for British (world) Speedway as it's the start of the decline of Polish Speedway. Soon their fans will realise they're starting to be mugged off

Wednesday 7th September - play off - Poole v Plymouth

Don't really care tbh, it's a sporting integrity issue -
I've not been following this too closely, but correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the landlords build a new track which was used for a while before Covid hit, then it was the promotion that elected not to run in 2021 & 2022. Is there something other than the promotion not electing to run stopping Speedway from running in Swindon?

Nothing! BSPL should step in and either give Poole a bye or order a postponement due to understrength team. It maybe in the interests of Poole to run tonight but it's not in the interests of the sport imo -

It's made a mockery of the WHOLE league season for Plymouth! As if it wasn't farcical enough with the Ed Kennett situation. What's the incentive for the fan to turn out week in week out to qualify for a play off... then this? -

I saw at least 2, wearing Anlas coats at least, unless they brought some free "merch" over with them
