  1. How long to actually run the heat though, if you're removing the rules it'll be carnage and every race could take several attempts to run, not to mention the atrictian rate of the riders... every race could be like Lawson vs MPT (even though Lawson was clearly at fault)
  2. Snipped from another thread... so Dougy MUST be riding! 02.2.8 Promoter / Associate Specifically, the staging Promotion is responsible: - a) to never advertise an event in a misleading manner; not to classify a meeting as an ‘International’; or ‘British Championship’, except with prior BSPA permission, nor ever use ‘Grand Prix, World Cup or World Championship titles’
  3. Look at VAR in football... i don't think it's added anything to the game
  4. To be fair they did post it on Twitter: https://twitter.com/SpeedwayGB/status/1563632925299527680 I fail to see how it was a fabulous night for British Speedway though, it was a fabulous night for British Riders. ... and have you seen the results from the European pairs championships last night? Literally, have you seen them, can't find them anywhere.
  5. There's always somebody at fault... it's just a matter of who it is in the refs opinion, that works fine for me
  6. £30! I can have the heating on for an hour at that price!
  7. Why do these Discovery clowns seem unable to play ANY video clip without accompanying it with "music"... it's SO annoying!
  8. And furthermore, those existing rules are complete baloney! Look at a) and b) how many times has a meeting been misadvertised? And you turn up and pay your money to get in and the absence of an advertised rider is announced on parade. Did the Peterborough track receive "timely and adequate preparation" on Thursday night? No point having rules if there is no penalty for not adhering to them
  9. Current rules obviously aren't working no matter how much you quote them or try to apply them to my "suggestions". Of course economics are part of it but the current rules have dragged the sport to the current level it is... how about this for economics, the fans have stopped going because they'll make their own minds up about the weather situation and the state the track will be in because every club is doing their own thing.
  10. That is the "before" photo... but yes the track staff did do a tremendous job!
  11. Anybody have any idea at all when the Lions are riding at BP again?
  12. Could explain the decline in the crowd levels at the EoEA... Alien abduction of the fans
  13. OK, you're getting into the realms of fantasy now... how about an alien invasion on the Saturday morning? You know that 99% of Speedway's "problems" with postponements/abandonments is weather related any thing else is force majeure. And as for point 2 you're applying the current rules to the new rules I would have in place, which is non-sensical.
  14. Were the juniors abandoned after the main meeting? I stayed for the first couple, well lap 1, bend 2 of the rerun of heat 2
  15. I wonder if the ref carries a light meter like the umpires in cricket? Bad light stopped play... and the cricketers go off for bad light when when the ground has floodlights!
  16. give it a go, I think you may be surprised and you have pretty much free roam when you're up there with the current crowd levels
  17. Should have gone down to the pits... helpfully the PA wasn't working
  18. Not looking for an argument... but why would you pay £62/£70 for a middle tier ticket when you can get a top tier ticket for £22.50? I've sat in both sections and I'd say because of the steeper angle of the top tier you get a better uninterrupted view imo.
