  1. Didn't the Telegraph used to sponsor the Panthers?
  2. Used to be 30 points team average or something like that
  3. There doesn't seem to be any minimum standard required. Is there? If I wanted a licence to ride and I've never slung a leg over a bike could/would I get one? And then if I bunged a promoter a brown paper bag full of cash, I'd be in the team!
  4. Dreamboat Phil's promise of integrity and transparency didn't last long did it? Is there or isn't there a rule about fielding competitive teams? If so why enforce it now?
  5. Now, I know this has only been running for a few days but this petition is only at 670 at the moment and that quite frankly is pathetic! Wolves was up in the thousands after a similar amount of time. Maybe because Wolves came as such a shock and Peterborough has been a bit of a slow burner for a few years. Coventry raised their £20k in a matter of days Maybe there's just no appetite for Speedway in Peterborough? Why has there been no outcry about the loss of Peterborough Speedway? Nothing on their website, nothing on the BSPL website, Godfrey gone missing (again!)... what's going on?
  6. Are the first bends always like this at Plymouth? There's been loads of incident tonight! Best wishes to Ben Barker the highs and lows of speedway all in 24 hours
  7. Is there by any chance only 1 ambulance at Plymouth tonight?
  8. Another shocker from the ref... the standard of referring this year has been the worst I can remember!
  9. He's not had a great night whatever his status
  10. Massive roller from Howarth that the ref let go
  11. BSN have just said there's a trainee ref making the decisions
  12. Gilkes should have gone there... he even put his hand up to apologise!
  13. He's hit some form recently igniting Ippo's play off push
  14. Haha! Richie Worrall basically saying he got the British Final call wrong
  15. Like I say complicit, nothing to stop him saying something when he left... he chose not to. I'm not angry about it, I just think less of him for it. Like I think less of the Birmingham promotion for it... Rightly or wrongly I expect it from promoters, not the riders though.
  16. That's one way of looking at it I suppose but all he had to do was put a statement out with the facts from his side, instead he decided to stay silent and was complicit in mugging the fans off
  17. Not been keen on him since his shenanigans at Birmingham at the start of last year
  18. Because it would have required at least an ounce of effort!
  19. It's a very strange dynamic they have then, I noticed it at Leicester when BV were in town, there was no communication or even acknowledgement between them. Same again tonight when they were lining up for the final, nothing, nothing at all, a father stood next to his son going out in the final for the British Championship, seemed a bit odd to me.
  20. He's got that slinky little black body warmer number
