  1. I've seen the lad ride almost as much as Bomber this season... which is no bad thing, he's quite a prospect
  2. Come on our boys! I think with the SoN being staged outside of Poland we actually have the strongest trio on show and should be favourites to retain the trophy. It will be interesting to see how Tragic Janowski manages to blow it this year! Come on our boys!
  3. LEICESTER 1. Nick Morris 9.13 2. Connor Mountain 5.43 3. Richie Worrall 8.53 4. Dan Thompson 4.97 5. Kyle Howarth (C) 8.47 6. Max Clegg 4.52 7. Joe Thompson 3.92 Team Manager: Stewart Dickson REDCAR 1. Charles Wright (C) 9.19 2. Jason Edwards 4.28 3. Justin Sedgmen (G) 8.18 4. Kasper Andersen 4.97 5. Lewis Kerr 7.47 6. Kyle Bickley 3.42 7. Jordan Jenkins 3.72 Team manager: Gavin Parr Does Jason Edwards ride for Redcar? I mean is this his actual club?
  4. It'd be like saying most people attending Cardiff this year will be because Max Fricke and Jason Doyle (plus British Championship qualifier) are riding in it.
  5. Often see him walking around the terraces at BP... half expect him to fall over
  6. You say that, but is the lure the team for most of us? I don't know... the biggest attended meetings I've been to have been individual meetings, World Finals, British Finals, BLRC's, WC Qualifiers, Golden Hammer etc. The only team meeting that comes close to some of those attendances in the past (during my time following Speedway) was the Cov v Hull decider double header. The following of a team probably led to the following of a rider for that team, that has completely gone now thanks to doubling up, which if memory serves me was originally brought in to help progress British youngsters.
  7. I can't quite believe what I've just read there... when somebody does suggest something to try and entice people along to watch Speedway, people like you actually throw every imaginable hurdle in the way as to why not to do it. I suggested that Birmingham should have run some kind of Commonwealth Riders Championship meeting (an absolute no brainer) to cash in on the games being held down the road, with the athletes village on the doorstep and you were quite rude to me about it on the Brummies thread... and you've only been 4 times this season, unbelievable!
  8. I remember them doing a similar offer during the previous year also when it was called Eurosport Player. So it looks like it maybe a regular offer. If you use something like HotUKDeals you can setup an alert so that if/when it happens again and somebody posts the offer you'll know about it.
  9. I think generally it's £60 a year, though if you get it at the right time of year, I got mine for £30. I think you may be able to get it for around £7 per month
  10. There HAS been some decent Speedway racing tonight, with a close scoreline... I would have hated to have turned off after heat 6
  11. I quite rate Flint, like his attitude and his riding style reminds me of Leigh Adams a bit
  12. Have you seen Swedish or Danish League Speedway? It ain't all that, easily comparable with British Speedway in terms of presentation and quality (of racing) and British Speedway is probably better
  13. You're obviously not watching Sudden Sam!
  14. It's not even mentioned on the FIM Speedway app... mind they've not even got the line ups for the senior event. We're starting to see how amateurish Discovery are now after everybody gushing about them after the first GP
  15. I was watching Max very closely on the BSN on Friday night because of all of the "discussion" around his inclusion in the team. What I did notice is that he made the gate in almost every race and was 1st or 2nd in the, what they call holeshot these days, but then soon got passed. If he had managed to maintain his "holeshot" position he would easily have scored double figures, so fair play to the lad. Staying away seemed to do the trick
  16. Nail hit absolutely on the head for me. Although Speedway has been on the decline for years, imo it took a major down turn during the Harkess years, squandering all that great TV coverage we had and failing to invest in the future.
  17. Well it is a bit like that... i was just questioning whether we needed another thread when there's already several already discussing the same topic
  18. @screm Never doubted you So, If he's not ridden enough meetings to be a Berwick asset, he may very well be Glasgow bound
  19. Just added to the Leicester website in the last few minutes: *UPDATE: Sunday 9.15am: Berwick have confirmed Jonas Knudsen's permitted paid engagement ran out last night, and his visa is not through yet. Connor Coles guests for him on Sunday. At least we'll get to see Clegg vs Coles! I wonder if Connor will be wearing his Leicester race suit?
