  1. Doesn't really matter what you say, if you can get the opinion of an SCB referee that'll do me We know the Poole riders like a wet track because they were SO keen to keep riding at Glasgow. Poole never had ANY intention of riding the 1st leg
  2. The thing is we'll never ever know now will we... because Poole can't be bothered to even try to get the meeting on, they're just happy they've got the 2nd leg (at the moment)
  3. Well, all you Pirates, your wishes have come true, you've got your 2nd leg, a clear advantage. Why in the world the Leicester promotion agreed to this is beyond me, it's almost as if they don't care, if they don't... why should any Leicester fan?
  4. It is clearly jockeying from the fans perspective or else there wouldn't have been hundreds of pages on the vs Plymouth, vs Glasgow and now vs Leicester threads going on about the topic. If the Lions have "agreed" to let Poole run the 2nd leg then sadly I am inclined to agree with you that they don't give as much of a toss as the fans or as they should.
  5. Let's be honest all this weather talk from the Pirates fans is about having the 2nd leg so they can have the advantage of holding any "golden heats" on their home track if they are required. Golden heats should never be used to decide a Championship and would make a mockery of the sport (again) if they were. A simpler solution would be to say that in the event of a draw then the team that won the league are crowned champions, everybody knows where they stand and there's no need for the constant jockeying from Poole to get the 2nd leg.
  6. Something like a 5 year plan you mean? Now there's an idea
  7. Something to do with Poole staff & fans preferring PL Football to CL Speedway...
  8. you're riding elsewhere? Fulfilling a fixture that has long been scheduled?
  9. 1st leg should have been held tonight, Poole's traditional race night, the night they "had" to race, the race night they relegated themselves for... just because nobody wants to watch them and watch the footy instead should not be a reason to not stage this leg tonight
  10. What a stupid comment, especially from somebody that has lost their club this year smh
  11. Is this the first round of the 2023 competition? Good thinking BSPL, getting ahead of themselves to save fixture congestion for next year!
  12. Oh great... pages of talk about the weather, just what everybody wanted
  13. I'm wondering where I go to for my refund as I attended the Peterborough leg on the understanding that this was leg 1 of 6. Why would any Speedway fan buy into ANY competition that is staged if they're not going to fulfil it?
  14. Wrong section, I think you need the Fantasy Speedway League section
  15. That's a shame, Sarj was a real prospect when he came onto the scene with Coventry. When Cov closed he seemed to lose his way a bit, I don't think Havvy helped him much as, publicly at least, he defended his jumping at the start as acceptable and often blamed the ref for stopping races after the start. Sarj became a bit of a laughing stock throughout the sport for this... if that had been coached out of his game a bit sooner, who knows?
  16. Maybe they should have called this meeting: "Farewell to Armadale?" Hope it's a good one either way!
  17. I know, pretty good eh... perhaps i should take over northern team management duties from Havvy? I can speak English and everything!
