  1. Easter is a different date every year though. it's simple just don't close the sport down during the summer, that's all that's needed
  2. They really should pull their fingers out during the 231 day season then
  3. Who "runs" the SCB? Just need a letter to get all the fixtures done then. Not sure why though? To make the winners of a competition legal I presume. Why put the 31st of October straight jacket on yourself though, why not just say until all competitions are complete?
  4. Zero chance of that, they've not been able to run 1 home and 1 away matches this year. I don't get what the deadline is about 31st of October? Is it written into the rules?
  5. Yeah... heats run until a team gets a heat advantage and is declared the winner
  6. I thought it was a super golden heat(s) if the tie finishes level? What happens if it does? Replay?
  7. These are the last home league matches for the pay off qualifiers: Edinburgh: 5th of August Glasgow: 5th of August Leicester: 24th of July!! Plymouth: 30th August (or 11th of October) Poole: 17th of August Redcar: 26th of August
  8. And 2019 when we won the Championship on a dark, damp, blustery Tuesday night in Glasgow at the end of October
  9. As you've not followed this with a smiley face, I'll take it that you're serious! Which is quite a turnaround, the last time I was a regular at Belle Vue, the talk on the terraces, of the great unwashed on the back straight at least, was that he should be axed and they didn't want him back. That was 2016, the 2022 Matej Zagar seems to have attained cult status this year, the fans are cheering him before races and he's even giving them a wave... the only time I've seen rider worship like this and it being reciprocated is with Sam Ermolenko at Wolverhampton. Matej certainly seems to be feeling the love and if I were an Aces fan I would defo want the 2022 version back next year.
  10. Somebody stop him, does he not know it's off tonight!
  11. Why not end of July? If they currently can't run 5 ties in 2 months, which has been proven they can't, what difference will 2 extra weeks make?
  12. End of August is fine... clubs just need to prioritise running the pay offs and they need to be cut down from top 6 to top 3 imo
  13. I share your hope, can't see anything changing though unfortunately
  14. The finalists have been known since the 2nd of October, Poole were either not riding or riding in the Cup and Leicester were holding Cubs matches. Why?
  15. Whoever made these arrangements, and I don't care if it was Poole or Leicester, really should be asking themselves why the pay off finals were not held sooner. I was shocked when I saw that Poole were riding in the KO Cup on Wednesday the 12th and the Cubs were riding at BP on Saturday the 15th... Why?!?
  16. Are you Middlo in disguise? Do you not know anybody from up t'North you can send instead?
  17. The irony is that the week before all this started was remarkably nice and dry... but you guys were riding in the KO Cup final
  18. Not at the end of October when there has been heavy torrential rain every day for a couple of hours.
  19. Rain has stopped, don't know how much there was as I was in my pit... could hear it around 6 am though. Forecast says possibly another shower at 11am. Depends how much the track dried out yesterday... which was a really nice day for drying
