  1. This new Friday date has not even been mentioned on the BSP website or socials... seems like they've lost interest too!
  2. I'm not so sure he has, if you read flagrag's post and he doesn't normally post stuff that is wrong it reads as if they're putting the track down on the day of the event, so it doesn't matter how much rain we have between now and then, currently it's hammering it down. Question is how good a track can you lay on the day of an event to run a double header?
  3. I think track covers would have worked on this occasion(s)... numerous times we had overnight/morning rain clearing by 10 am, time to remove the covers and prep a track (at this time of year) I would have thought... but the damage had already been done. The man (person) power in putting them down and taking them up may have been an issue though
  4. Can you (they) lay a track in a day, ready for racing (30 races) in the evening? I always thought it had to "bed in", I'm no expert though
  5. Looking at this weeks forecast, I can't see it myself, not unless they can dig out those mystery track covers from wherever they ended up
  6. Can you imagine if this was a proper sport and it was all over Sky Sports News 24/7? Fortunately we're the best kept sporting secret in the UK and long may it stay that way until we get our collective houses in order!
  7. It ain't great from the Leicester promotion is it... If you say "Details of a re-staging date for this week will follow later today.", yesterday and then just put nothing else out, not even change it to Details of a re-staging date for this week will follow in due course, it just makes an already bad situation worse imo
  8. I've just looked at the met office rainfall forecast for the next 5 days... they can forget about doing any meaningful work on the track this week I think https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/maps-and-charts/rainfall-radar-forecast-map
  9. I really should pay more attention to him next time then, could be a match winner if he reproduces that form
  10. Blimey! So he did, from reserve though, with a lot of 3rd places and a couple of wins against riders you'd probably expect him to beat... fair play to the lad though, he's got time on his side
  11. Not Drew Kemp... I've never seen him have a good meeting, anywhere! I was watching him closely last time I saw him and I don't know why as he seems quite a tidy rider, he seemed quite reluctant to ride any wider than mid track though
  12. How about awarding it to Leicester? We had our home league programme completed by the 24th of July it took Poole until the 18th of August. We had our pay off semi done by the 24th of September, Poole the 2nd of October... everybody has spent all season waiting for Poole, now they have to wait a while for us they don't like it!
  13. Not even the Ford's can control the weather... they can control when their fixtures are run though and prioritisng cup, benefit and football matches over the league and constant jockeying for the 2nd leg is always going to end up badly
  14. I don't think it's any coincidence that the only 2 times the 2nd division has run past the end of the official season in its history and both times Poole are involved.... glad we're moving up
  15. This is almost beginning to sound like a half sensible solution, if we are making the rules up as we go along, as we seem to be on this thread, to make it fully sensible, the 1st leg should be null and voided and it could be a winner take all, shoot out final at Oxford
  16. You would have hoped that there would have been some kind of statement from somebody in authority about: The PL League Cup Final 2nd leg The CL PO Final 2nd leg The NDL PO Final 2nd leg The Premiership Pairs 6th leg The Jubilee Trophy Final 1st leg The Jubilee Trophy Final 2nd leg matches still being unplayed at the official end of the season and when they are going to be scheduled to be run But as usual... Silence! If Rob Godrey doesn't resign after this omnishambles he never will.
  17. I've been out for a walk this morning, it's over 24 hours since we've had any rain here in Leicester and some of the footpaths are still damp, despite a breeze and sunshine yesterday, so goodness knows what soil/shale is like. It's over a month since the equinox, important meetings should just not be being held at this time of year, it's a simple as that I'm afraid. It doesn't matter how many times you dig the track up and relay it, if it gets rained on there's just not enough time for it to dry at this time of year without a sustained dry period of weather
