012.1.3 2 Minute Time Allowance Except when the Referee considers that there are valid reasons for delaying the start of an ensuing heat, the interval between the finish of one heat and the start of the next shall not exceed 4 minutes including the 2 minute allowance. I'm pretty sure that 2 consecutive rides does not constitute a valid reason for delaying the start, unless the rider has damaged his bike in his previous ride or something similar , of course this does leave it open to interpretation from the ref. I have heard it announced over the PA in previous seasons that the referee has left the maximum amount of time and all riders are on 2 minutes, so I don't think it's anything new.

That's the trouble when in the past you've called meetings off based on forecasts and it's be alright and then on other occasions they've decided to run when the forecast looks horrendous... punters will start making their own decisions on whether they think it'll actually go ahead or not in the absence of any set procedure for clubs to follow. For what it's worth I think Leicester (or any club for that matter) should be applauded for getting meeting's on.

The forecast I'm looking at looks marginally better than this but Phil Morris really needs to look at introducing some kind of formula for cancelling meetings. Leicester have called meetings off in the past on better forecasts than this and a lot earlier, yet this is still on. I'm currently on holiday in North Wales deciding whether to come home early for this... and don't think I'll bother!

Worky are a massive unknown, with 3 new riders to the country and 2 who, I think it's fair to say, have blown hot and cold in the past. They really could finish anywhere, storm the league in a canter, or cut a drift at the bottom of the league, for me it's what makes them interesting to watch and keep an eye on. On last nights showing, they'll be a force to be reckoned with.
