  1. From the tracks that you originally mentioned and the ones I added, Eastbourne is easily the easiest to get up and running again.Whoever has approached Eastbourne on behalf of the BSPL obviously haven't tried nearly hard enough to get Speedway back to there, but if they're clutching at straws like Peterborough then they're clearly living in cloud cuckoo land. Many companies have done this in the past if it's a stumbling block to them being able to trade... it depends how desperate they are. It may not have been labelled as paying off somebody else's debts, but paying "sweeteners" in business is common place, no matter how it's wrapped up. As I mentioned above, from the tracks that @THE DEAN MACHINE originally mentioned and the 4 I added, it's still the best bet... even if it's no bet at all.
  2. Sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do to do the things you do want to do, and if that means paying off somebody else's debts to be able to run Speedway on a ready made, proven successful, track then so be it, this is hardly Russia vs Ukraine or Jews vs Arabs, it's Speedway and with no track running any meaningful Speedway in the south east and that be sat there doing nothing is an absolute scandal with the sport being at an all time low at this moment in time. There's more chance of Eastbourne happening than asking Peterborough to run PL when they don't even have a track... and whoever asked them to do that shouldn't be anywhere near our sport!
  3. Yes, but... it's amazing how the mind can be focused when a large sum of money is thrown at you. And if that's what it takes to get speedway back at Eastbourne instead of a suicidal attempt at trying to make Northampton work, then it should be looked at as a priority.
  4. Eastbourne is surely the most logical answer to a 6th team, it's a speedway town and has a very large catchment area in the south east of England.
  5. Lawson a lot less likely to injure himself plastering than Cook bowing to his Polish paymasters imo.
  6. Yes, I'm well aware of the different "situations" surrounding the tracks I mentioned, but as far as I'm aware, they all have an oval track within a functioning stadium and are to all intents and purposes "ready to go" should anybody be foolish enough to stump up enough money.
  7. Dudek maybe? There's been talk of him coming over for the last couple of seasons... ain't cheap though
  8. Somebody remembered the fans... at the very last moment 😁
  9. At least 2 of you entered the Christmas spirit 😂🎅
  10. An actual picture from David Wayne's family Christmas party... Merry Christmas everyone 🎄🎅
  11. Maybe there's a place for him at Speedway Futures Ltd... with the rest of the wrong'uns 🤷‍♂️
  12. What about the Mildenhall vs Peterborough match at the end of last season, wasn't that Nora?
  13. A year at Lynn for Max, to get his average back down, before coming back "home" to Leicester next year 😁
  14. He'll be back when they've got wise to him, they won't stand for 3 laps for too long before he's sent packing
  15. Bravo in flogging this particular dead horse! Merry Christmas 😁 I'm expecting mine to be ruined tomorrow by an announcement of Drew Kemp or Nick Morris signing for Leicester 😂
  16. Cook or Kemp? What a choice! Looks like people have finally got wise to Kemp.
  17. And this silly vendetta against all things NORA needs to STOP!
  18. As an out and out Ipswich legend it'd be unthinkable stain for him to be the one to close the club down. Goodness knows what's actually going on and as has proven with the rest of the Premiership he must be losing a lot of goodwill with his radio silence and lack of explanation to the fans. Whether there's genuinely a sale going on or this is all a game of brinksmanship, who knows, but if Ipswich are to run next year, they're leaving themselves in a pickle if/when trying to assemble a competitive team, as Jason Doyle has already shown, with any uncertainty riders will ultimately look after their own interests and sign on elsewhere. You can have Drew Kemp at No 1, he's a local lad... consider it a Christmas present from Leicester 😁
  19. Yes! I'm afraid, whether you like it or not, that is the responsibility you have when you take on a sporting club, especially a historic, well supported and successful one like Ipswich.
  20. Mr Doyle maybe doesn't seem to think so or surely he would have signed on for another season?
