  1. The save Coventry crew won't be running the speedway though Cedric from Poole will be and I can't see him being interested in Northampton or surely he would have already done something.
  2. May have been wise to have waited at least for the rain to have passed though, seems pointless to have had track covers on and then take them off as soon as it starts to rain, or did fireman Phil want a flooded track 🤔
  3. There's a yellow weather warning in place for Leicester on Monday, we should do a Poole, call it now and get the 2nd leg 😁
  4. tbf the Ippo merch is pretty uninspiring... I've never got on with their black and day glo yellow colours
  5. Bizarrely, some BV fans seem to love that though 🤷‍♂️
  6. I do think there are solutions but nobody brave enough to implement them
  7. Greater Manchester has a population of 3m on the doorstep of the National Speedway Stadium but couldn't attract a crowd for a POSF... no doubt there'd be some novelty to the opening of a new track but inevitably crowds would eventually drop off.
  8. Some of the riders with certain attitudes are a cancer in our sport and like all cancers they need removing. To have riders minds (and often bodies) elsewhere is not what the fans pay to watch. There's no buy in from many of the riders and if they don't buy in why should the fans? Come and support your team... but your Captain is really only interested in another competition, your number 1 earns more money on a Sunday in another country so won't be riding on the Saturday night... and there's far too many examples to continue to list on here, we all know what goes on. I DO NOT blame the riders, they have to do what is right for themselves as self employed participants but in effect they are competing businesses! But are there any other team sports that operate with self employed participants? Like I said in an earlier post, riders should be salaried employees it's the only way to get buy in. I know it will never happen and for that reason team Speedway will probably die a lingering death. The days of understanding that your rider had bigger things on his mind are now unfortunately a luxury of the past and has probably, in part, led to the dwindling crowds we see today. It's just not acceptable in todays age of league only Speedway.
  9. It'll never happen but riders should probably be salaried, this would solve a lot of issues.
  10. So much entertainment that you don't attend your local track until it's play off time, I don't blame you for that, it's your choice, the sport needs to be making you want to attend every week though.
  11. If you can't see that these riders are destroying the sport in this country you are the one that should be wobbling your head. Did you see the crowd for Mondays play off semi final at the "National Speedway Stadium"? It was pathetic! Nobody came out to see these stars that would rather be elsewhere and quite rightly so. If the Captain of the Belle Vue Aces didn't want to be there for his club, the answer is simple, he should have called in sick. I'm sure Bomber would have jumped at the chance even though he's got a World Longtrack Championship to ride for at the weekend.
  12. I do blame them though, riders with this attitude need to be drummed out of our leagues, they're short changing the few remaining fans that do attend and attract no new fans to our sport
  13. Yeah, but you hate everybody and everything... all the time 😂
  14. I'm sorry but I just get this rider over club mentality from some fans. I pay my money to watch my club in the British Speedway league, although it's nice to watch the SGP series and a rider from your club do well, I couldn't really give a toss what they did elsewhere tbh.
  15. When I think of the Aces Captains through the years, this is a pretty disgraceful performance, not worthy of the armband.
  16. He should be issuing an apology to the fans!
