  1. According to the regulations there is no such thing as an under strength team anymore.
  2. To be fair thinking about it he shouldn't really even be involved, it's a clear beach of the SCB's regulations, so it will be Neil Vatcher's and the sports regulators biggest test.
  3. Insurance for when Birmingham fold or Buster pulls the trigger
  4. He can't hold a gun to the sports head or else every tom, dick and Harry will try it on, I think the minimum for Tv is 6 teams
  5. It says in the rules that the SCB could have forbidden the postponement, it's unclear whether they have or haven't, as there's an inquiry, I assume they did forbid the postponement and Buster did it anyway.
  6. The 2 clubs I've attended consistently over the years have their tapes up time at 19:32 Coventry & Leicester... now if you're unfortunate enough to attend a mickey mouse outfit where the meeting starts when people can be arsed to amble out onto the centre green then I can understand where any confusion can come from.
  7. Buster needs a reserve for Thursday...
  8. Something to do with Swindon wanting to rider Thursdays I think
  9. Many riders have missed matches in years gone by due to compulsory returns, this is nothing new... Coventry had to ride in a play off semi (I think) without Hamill, Hancock & Janniro... And of course it was against the rules to postpone this coming Thursdays match, you may not like it but rules is rules
  10. While everybody is entitled to their opinion, nobody seems to have addressed the actual rules... 02.2.8 Promoter / Associate Specifically, the staging Promotion is responsible: - c) until 2 hours prior to the advertised start time may postpone the meeting if there are exceptional conditions as would make racing impossible, except where: i) the SCB specifically forbids a Promotion from so doing ii) if a Meeting Steward is appointed to the meeting and must advise the Referee at the earliest opportunity It's an open and shut case... it was not "impossible" to stage this meeting, why the SCB haven't specifically forbidden it is a question that needs asking. They seem pretty toothless against promotions yet come down on riders like a tonne of bricks.
  11. It's not all about the home fans though, like I said, 1 team does one thing another does a different thing, Morris said he was going to make the experience the same across the board no matter what track you were attending, so this needs looking at imo.
  12. Birmingham, by their own statements, had 7 riders to choose from for their final 2 heat leader spots, so it sounds like there was a surplus. There hasn't been enough rider resource for years, hence doubling up.
  13. If he didn't want to be a part of it he should have run CL not assemble a team with 3 Polish licensed riders in it
  14. Yes, but we've all been to tracks where they "usually" have a parade but have said they're dispensing with it to get on with the racing due to the forecast. Maybe this is another thing for Mr Morris to look at to bring in some uniform standard for advertised race start times... then everybody knows where they stand
  15. So if he gets injured or binned or any other reason except the one being used, that's you done?
  16. But there's 3 clubs not riding on Thursday night to choose a guest from
  17. It's been announced at 20:39... finally I can start my journey home
  18. Good job Ippo didn't postpone when Doyley missed his flight, or Tungate for Oxford!
  19. Was it "impossible" to stage the meeting? Or just undesirable
