  1. Also let's not forget that he was heavily involved in turning the Great Britain Speedway from also-rans to consitent medalists and World Champions!
  2. Like he clarified that Tarasenko would be turning out for Peterborough on the podcast? it's not a matter of what I would or wouldn't like to see and shopping riders it's about clear and transparent upholding of the rules to ensure sporting integrity... one of Phil Morris' remits. The question still remains unanswered what's the difference between a League, KO Cup & PL Pairs fixture... why do some carry bans and others don't?
  3. ... and the ones that are currently used in the BL don't even last for a "single use"!
  4. What I'd like to know is why have the riders that have "elected" to miss this meeting not sanctioned with a 7 day ban like Artem Laguta for electing to miss the Wolves league match. Who decides which meeting carries a sanction? If the Pairs doesn't but league matches do, why aren't they treated the same if they are "official" fixtures... what about the KO Cup? Is that official, does that carry a potential ban... what another fine mess they've gotten themselves into
  5. Roll up! Roll up! Peterborough represented by Ben Cook & Richie Worrall
  6. I would have thought he probably knows nothing about it
  7. "Mr Laguta had suffered from food poisoning and was unable to travel to the UK and advised to rest for a period of at least 2 days" The ban doesn't extend as far as Poland... we're only shooting ourselves in the foot on this occasion. Anyway looks like he went against doctors advice and decided to go for a run
  8. Best not to talk to them... you'd be slitting your wrists by the end of the conversation!
  9. What puzzled me the most when they were discussing it on Eurosport was Nicholls & Tatum suggesting that the favourites to land him would be Wolves! As if it was a given that they'd be riding next year
  10. To be fair... look at the clowns he has to deal with over here
  11. Did Ashton Boughen receive a 7 day ban from when he missed the Worky v Leicester match when "his dad was taken ill"?
  12. How about when signing the rider not stipulating/agreeing to that rider missing some away matches at "small" tracks?
  13. Because watching 4 riders race around an oval dirt track on 500cc machines with no brakes still gets me fizzing
  14. Must have been those Fish & Chips he was raving about, good job mystic Buster had Bomber on stand-by in case Artem followed through ... Wait until Tarasenko's Full English filters through his system, it could be season ending carnage
  15. Just don't mention the riders flying here, there and everywhere
  16. I think you've got a pretty competitive team as it is now... don't forget you were up against the current Champs and table toppers with a number of riders who go really well around the EoES. I thought Andersen looked a lot more on the pace last night, Cook had that silly tapes infringement... I do feel that NKI is exposed at number 1 though
  17. If this is being held and promoted as a Championship worth winning why wouldn't you want to put out your strongest possible side to attempt to win it? Or is it just a fixture filler? It's already been devalued and gone from 6 meetings, to 5, to 3... to 1 on a Thursday night... with crowd pulling riders not competing for their clubs. If you weren't there BSNing would you have been making the trip?
  18. Oh as a team match it was total garbage... but as pure speedway, didn't look to be too bad
  19. did look to be some decent racing though, from what I saw on Eurosport, if you watched it as pure Speedway and took away any context of "teams" competing against each other it didn't look so bad
  20. Lagutagate is a perfect example of this, if and I stress the word IF (the source(s) reporting this are generally right with stuff), the news that he's been signed by a "promoter" and isn't riding the "small" tracks smacks of complete self interest. Yes, great for your home crowd but you have to have a team to ride against and if you're effecting other clubs crowds by agreeing to such a deal you're doing the sport no good as a whole... these clubs should effectively be working as a co-op. Is it any surprise that the 2 clubs in a mess this season are (were) run by an estate agent and a used car salesman... tells you all you need to know.
