  1. I know what the rules are and I know the difference between SCB and FIM/SGP... I'm saying they should be the same, why aren't they the same? Because not every track will buy a clock? That the Start Marshal can start if the Ref can't? If that's the reason then it's quite frankly ridiculous! Why does British Speedway tie itself up in unnecessary rules that are left open to interpretation? If there had been a clock there last night NKI would have been at the tapes when it counted down to zero... but no, the paying public were deprived of a race containing the oppositions main man on the night because he couldn't see the stop watch on your wrist! Unbelievable!
  2. That does not sound simpler than having a clock on the centre green that everybody can see and when that clock ticks down to zero and a rider is not at the tapes ready to start that rider is excluded, like in the GP's to be honest
  3. The point is, when the ref puts the 2 mins on, he's the only one that can see when the time is up... how does having a stop watch on your wrist help the rider know exactly when the 2 mins are up? Or the crowd for that matter? There's a perfectly simple solution available... but as usual Speedway ties itself up in knots about the minutiae of the current situation instead of putting in place new simple solutions
  4. So that's it then... for all time, for ever! May as well use a bloody egg timer!
  5. it's remote controlled... all it needs is for somebody (start marshal?) to start the countdown when the 2 mins is put on by the ref, this is not rocket science
  6. If only Leicesters budget extended to a clock... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jhering-Timing-Running-Countdown-Digital/dp/B09LHW5P2R/ref=sr_1_117?crid=1ABHH8MZTQQ1V&keywords=large+timer+for+classroom&qid=1688720484&sprefix=large+timer%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-117
  7. No... do it on the centre green at the end of the night in a Crystal Maze style dome with a giant fan blowing the money around and 7 riders grabbing what they can
  8. also less mistakes made on a smoother track with no bumps and holes
  9. The Leicester track seems have taken quite a step backwards this year in my opinion. It's not been the same since the "improvements" over the close season and more often than not this season I have gone home covered in dust!
  10. Sedgy hit the deck coming out of turn 2 lap one, ran out of space. Tarasenko went back into the pits while Sedgy was receiving attention, the other 2 stayed on the track. Then the ref put all 4 back in. Can you declare an unsatisfactory start when riders are coming out of bend 2?
  11. But all 4 back? If it wasn't an unsatisfactory start then doesn't somebody have to be excluded?
  12. Was the ref even watching the first running of heat 6? Sedgeman goes down coming out of bend 2 because he wouldn't shut off... and Tarasenko clearly left the track and went back into the pits... all 4 back? If it was an unsatisfactory start shouldn't Tarasenko have been excluded?
  13. Was queuing up to get in tonight... Not sure what the correct words to use are, so forgive me if they're wrong... 2 mentally retarded men were with their carer and were being refused admission at a reduced rate. The carer was being offered a carers rate but the 2 mentally retarded chaps were being charged full price! If you're physically younger you get reduced admission but not if you're mentally younger? I know it's difficult to prove but it was not a good look at all! I saw them all coming in later on, not sure if they were charged full price or not.
  14. I wonder if we'll be pressuring him to not ride for his Polish club?
  15. After the meeting at Leicester the whole team and manager come out on the track and gather in front of the crowd on the home straight for interviews, photo's, chat's with the crowd etc. I know they've done this for a while, I've never really stayed behind before as it was a Saturday night and I had other things to get to, but I have stayed behind and listened to the rider/manager interviews this season and I must say it's something that's done excellently at Leicester and they bring the team out immediately after the last race so there's no real hanging around for it either
  16. The track is generally praised by the winning riders in any team, it maybe OK for them, but for anybody else or anybody watching it...
  17. You should get Dickson in, I think he has some spare time when he's not managing down here
  18. It could make international news... like the Chilean miners, will they be rescued?
