  1. Yeah, no, for sure... Your "ten minutes" was actually 22 minutes at Glasgow and 18 minutes for the Pairs at Leicester, what a build up to a semi and a final, watching a tractor go round a track. It's partly why I stopped going to the CLRC, that and the crap racing at Sheffield. Fortunately the racing at Glasgow was pretty decent but a 20 minute delay in running the semi and finals at these events is just unacceptable. I was at the Pairs in person and the 18 minute delay seemed like an eternity at the end of the night so goodness knows how 22 minutes seemed!
  2. Erik Riss has already started a "ride slow" campaign in support of Doyle
  3. Did Ben Barker refuse a 2nd test last season? If so he probably thinks an 8 month ban served through the close season is better than having the book thrown at him for 2 negatives?
  4. He seems to have gone to the Frank Ebdon school of refereeing... he's always pulling races back when there has been no visible infringement
  5. Woffinden has been allowed to get to the level he has by the fact he's in the GP's despite never having qualified. Madsen was ignored for a number of years while being the top rider in Poland. I've said it before and I'll say it again would Holder & Bewley be at the level they're now at had they not been given the opportunity to ride in the GP's at the expense of the Russians? Or would they still be at the level they were at bumbling about on the cusp? We'll never know of course but just because you're not currently in the GP series doesn't mean you can't raise your game to the level of a GP rider
  6. by my reckoning it's Nicholls, Cook, Batch or a "foreigner"... isn't there a transfer deadline soon? We're probably stuck with what we've got so need to hope Batch can get up to speed sooner rather than later
  7. Was he there last night supporting his team mates does anybody know?
  8. Yeah, no, for sure... It's the final set at Wimbledon, Alcarez and Djokovic have been locked in a titanic battle, the crowd are expectant to see who the champion will be, the umpire calls "new balls please"... everybody clears the court and a load of kids come pouring in, nobody has any new balls ready, somebody will have to go off to Sports Direct to get some, I hope they're open, umpire puts a "back in 15 mins" sign on his chair and disappears It's the FA Cup final Man City & United in front of a full house at Wembley, it's one goal a piece, surely the next goal wins it, 10 minutes to go, the ball develops a puncture... everybody off, where's the puncture repair kit? There's 83,000 fans out there! What shall we do? Ah... send some kids out onto the pitch to throw a load of bean bags about. But there's a ball there we could use... NO! it's not got the right stamp on it smh
  9. In the race that Laguta won he was a whisker away from the new track record set in heat 1 by Fricke... so not too shabby We all know Laguta is not as complete a speedway rider as Emil but he's not the first world class rider to come to Leicester unable to pass and I'm sure he won't be the last
  10. I wonder if there has ever been a more self-righteous topic posted on BSF before?
  11. Blimey! That really is scraping the barrel of complaints!
  12. By my reckoning though Lions riders are going to be down £400 between them tonight
  13. Not to mention a number of riders doing practice starts on the parade without their helmets on!
  14. Heat 6, Klindt left the track after the false start... not excluded, why have these rules of you're not going to enforce them?
  15. Somebody on these forums needs to find a new source
  16. You didn't see the BU21C from Glasgow then? Leicester has been far too slick this season. It's good for about 3 or 4 races but they just don't keep on top of it with watering and before you know it, it's a slick dust bowl
  17. Yeah, no, for sure... I was halfway through typing it when I remembered Ace was a Tiger... meeting deserved a better crowd really
  18. just speaking as an observer, the 250's of today seem more akin to the 500's of yesteryear where they seem to reach their max speed before the end of the straight, where as the 500's look as though they'll just keep pulling and pulling. looking at the race times between SGP and SGP3 at the weekend there was only 3 or 4 seconds difference between the 2, so I'd suggest that having double the cc for an extra 2 or 3 seconds seems a bit overkill
  19. Yeah, no, for sure, so there's rain threatening, you've had 20 excellent heats of Speedway all building up to a big semi and final and then you stop for 15 minutes, bring a load of kids out to play on the centre green... that's exactly why the sport will never be anything again in this country. It should all have been about theatre but no somebody has got to put a stamp on a tyre, that if it isn't used could easily be used at the next meeting, I don't really care how it works at the moment, it needs to work better, get with it my friend, the writing is on the wall for the sport in this country, born out by the attendance today.
  20. Yeah, no, for sure, I've not no... they should have 4 tyres and wheels ready to use then surely, you've clearly never stood on the terraces waiting for the final 2 races
  21. Yeah, no, for sure... I'd expect that as soon as they knew they were through to the semi or final to start fitting their tyre, why does it take so very long to fit a tyre?
