  1. I think it more likely that there should be a ballot due to the demand and limited capacity of the NSS.
  2. I was near the stadium on Saturday and water was just coming up out of the main drain network!
  3. Track drainage will only take so much, if all the drains are full it's just going to back up. We had floods last Thursday, it continued to rain on Friday, it has been consistently raining for the last 36 hours and it's due to continue overnight until tomorrow morning and be dull for the rest of the day... I fear the damage may already be done for Thursday.
  4. Wasn't the first leg of "The Bomber Final" rain effected? https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/7267/bees-poole-play-final-september
  5. Preparing for next season... it's funny that you have a Manager that won't travel north of Ringwood unless it's for a golfing holiday and a Captain that disappears to Poland when you reach a final πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈβ›³βœˆοΈπŸ¦˜πŸ˜‚
  6. As a Leicester fan we're a bit of a Johnny come lately to the pay off scene. The 2 seasons we have been involved have been a bit of a farce with our previous final appearances happening on a Tuesday night in Glasgow and at King's Lynn in Novemeber! In another life I was a Cov fan and we had some great pay off nights and the only dodgy one I can remember was a weather effected pudding of a track against Poole at Brandon. As a neutral with no skin in the game, not really caring when they take place, I think they're pretty good as it doesn't really matter to me when I sit on my sofa and watch it. But as a follower of a team involved it can make it a bit of a lottery. Track conditions, 2nd leg "advantage", rider availability and the number of races (heat 10 call off) all come into play with the possible pressure from TV companies to ensure meetings take place when perhaps they shouldn't. This year has been the biggest farce yet, with the rigging of the Semi's, the weather and it possibly ain't over yet as it's currently pishing it down outside in Leicester as I write this on Tuesday morning with no let up in sight today! Shortening or lengthening the season is not an answer, you could have held the pay offs in July with the same result. Is the "pay off" of 2 (fixed) semis and a final really worth the devaluing of every league meeting that takes place throughout the whole season? For me, probably not anymore.
  7. Why has he got no licence? Have I missed something?
  8. Maybe that same medical person said go to the GP on Saturday instead of helping the team mates of the team you are Captain of in their first final of the season?
  9. Forgot about Becker... so we've got 1. Greg Hancock 2. Richard Lawson 3. Magic Janowski 4. Luke Becker 5. Szymon Wozniak 6. Wilbur Hancock 7. Luke Killeen
  10. This was a BSN Series final, nothing to do with play offs, I assume you mean the BSN Semis? You've not finished this season yet! Top 4 next season is not a fact (yet), it's your opinion
  11. Get Wozniak in and Cairns when he's eligible and Hancock can mentor them both together at Leicester, heck get Magic in while they're at it and Greg can make a come back too... maybe I've gone a little far there πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ
  12. Let's hope he doesn't take a leaf from Ivan Mauger's book and miss it to prepare for the meeting. Hopefully it'll be good weather, 2 full teams... and a Lions victory 🦁 πŸ† πŸ…
  13. Hopefully we've seen the last of them... they added very little, if anything.
  14. When Phil gets out of his FIM meetings
  15. There's many factors to take into consideration though, not least the track, there was a hell of an outside line there last night for those that there brave enough to use it... but when you're at Cardiff, Riga, Prague or Vojens the gate pick will be far more important
